Lu Yaobing wasn’t afraid of Liu Chunan at all, because she had a powerful ntor, whom even the deputy director of the provincial Health Bureau had to show respect to. How could soone like Liu Chunan, just a dean, possibly expel her?
With confidence, Liu Chunan’s attitude made Lu Yaobing even more infuriated. At this point, she simply didn’t even regard him as the dean anymore. She put on a stern face and said, “Just go ahead and expel , then. I really want to see what kind of excuse you plan to use to expel .”
“Alright, alright! Just you wait, if I don’t expel you, then I, Liu Chunan, shouldn’t be the dean anymore.” Liu Chunan was genuinely angry at this point. If he couldn’t even handle a student, then how could he continue as the dean?
Lu Yaobing let out a cold laugh, glanced at Liu Chunan with disdain, then turned and walked out, slamming the door behind her with such force that the office buzzed with the sound.
“This is outrageous, outrageous! I’m absolutely furious!” Liu Chunan’s face turned blue with anger as he pounded the table in rage.
Lu Yaobing returned to her dormitory, her expression still sour, and her three roommates imdiately gathered around her.
“Yao Bing, what’s wrong with you? Why do you look so upset?” Wang Xiaoling asked, holding Lu Yaobing’s hand.
Lu Yaobing took a deep breath and said, “It’s nothing, just a dog tried to bite , gave
a scare.”
Wang Xiaoling said in confusion, “Dog? Well, there are so stray dogs around campus, but they’re all pretty friendly. I’ve never heard of one trying to bite anyone before.”
Lu Yaobing shrugged and said, “Who knows, it might have gone mad.”
Wang Xiaoling rolled her eyes and said, “Oh, co on, a dog wouldn’t bite soone as beautiful as you, would it?”
Lu Yaobing snorted and said, “So dogs just don’t know their place. When there’s no one to control them, hmph, if it really dares to bite , I’ll definitely make it pay.”
Wang Xiaoling had always been very close to Lu Yaobing and knew her well, so she quickly said, “Hey, Yao Bing, why are you venting on the dog? No, no, you’re not that kind of person. Did soone upset you? Tell us, we’ll help you sort them out.”
Lu Yaobing sighed and said, “It’s nothing, just ran into soone who annoyed , I don’t want to talk about it.” Then she just lay down on her bed.
The three knew that when Lu Yaobing didn’t want to talk about sothing, it was no use to keep asking. This made them worried, clearly she had encountered sothing.
Lu Yaobing didn’t want to tell her roommates about the incident earlier, thinking it would only make them worry unnecessarily since they couldn’t really help. She took out her phone, wanting to send a WeChat ssage to Song Xiaodong, but hesitated, fearing it might disturb him.
But if Liu Chunan really expelled her, then even if she told her ntor later and they couldn’t resolve it, she’d be in big trouble. She could learn dical skills from Song Xiaodong, but her parents would be a different matter.
After hesitating for a while, she decided to tell Song Xiaodong about it. So she opened WeChat and sent him a ssage, “Master, there’s sothing I want to ask you.”
Yet the ssage didn’t get an imdiate reply, leaving Lu Yaobing a bit disappointed and afraid to send any more.
“Yao Bing, let’s go eat.” It was alti, and Wang Xiaoling called out to Lu Yaobing.
Lu Yaobing shook her head and said, “I don’t feel like eating, you guys go ahead.”
“Then I’ll bring you sothing back,” Wang Xiaoling promptly said.
“Alright then.”
As soon as the three of them stepped out, Lu Yaobing’s phone rang. Seeing the number, Lu Yaobing imdiately sat up, her face full of delight as she quickly answered, “Master.”
“Yao Bing, what’s the matter?” Song Xiaodong’s tone was very gentle.
“Master… is it a good ti to talk?” Lu Yaobing cautiously asked.
“It’s fine, go ahead. You don’t need to worry so much. If there’s anything, you can always call ; there’s no inconvenience.”
Hearing this, Lu Yaobing felt an indescribable joy in her heart and proceeded to recount what Liu Chunan had done to her today.
Song Xiaodong said seriously, “He’s got so nerve, using such lowly tricks. You don’t have to bother with him. If he really dares to do this, his ti as dean will be over.”
“Alright, master, with your reassurance, I’m relieved.”
“Rember, you’re my student, Song Xiaodong’s apprentice. We don’t bully others, but if anyone dares bully you, you don’t have to be afraid. With
looking out for you, no one can do anything to you.”
Lu Yaobing nodded repeatedly and said, “Yes! I definitely won’t disgrace you, master.”
“Alright, I’ll be teaching tomorrow. We’ll chat after class.”
“Okay, master, see you tomorrow then.”
Once the call ended, all the anxiety in Lu Yaobing’s heart vanished. Now, she was actually curious to see how Liu Chunan would dare to act.
“Yao Bing! Sothing’s gone wrong, really wrong.” Wang Xiaoling and the other two roommates burst in anxiously.
“What’s the matter?” Startled, Lu Yaobing asked hurriedly.
“Haven’t you checked the school forum?” Wang Xiaoling’s eyes went wide.
“What’s up with the school forum?” Lu Yaobing asked, even more puzzled.
Wang Xiaoling said, “Oh my gosh, everyone’s talking about you and Teacher Song having a romantic affair.”
“On the forum?” Lu Yaobing’s face instantly darkened.
“Yeah, you should check it out.”
Lu Yaobing took out her phone, logged onto the school forum, and imdiately saw several pinned posts, all discussing the supposed affair between her and Song Xiaodong. They even seed to have evidence, including photos of her and Song Xiaodong walking together.
“This is outright slander.” Lu Yaobing frowned tightly, especially at so posts that obviously contained insulting language, attacking her and Song Xiaodong openly, making her even more furious.
“What should we do now? A teacher-student romance is strictly forbidden at school and could lead to expulsion.”
Lu Yaobing’s lips twitched as she put down her phone, slowly saying, “Ignore them.”
Wang Xiaoling’s eyes widened, “Ignore them? Are you crazy? We have to clarify this ss; otherwise, what if you get expelled?”
At this point, a smile appeared on Lu Yaobing’s face. She calmly said, “If they expel , let them try. They’ll need the skill to do it.” Now she was certain that Liu Chunan was behind all of this, creating such rumors to maneuver against her.
Wang Xiaoling and the other two roommates were all dumbfounded. They couldn’t believe Lu Yaobing could remain so composed in the face of such a big problem.
