As the red figure closed in to the headquarters, the chief ntally regained his footing and began shouting orders,
"Reinforce everything! and bring out all our guns! Sam! Go and bring the Grim reaper!"
"Yes sir!"
Sam ran to the hall with all the weaponry and brought a large briefcase over to the chief, before opening it.
Seeing the weapon of mass destruction within, the Chief's eyes glistened.
"Sam! Equip and grim reaper and go to the first floor. Fire on my command!"
The well-trained Sam ran to the first floor with all his might while carrying the RPG on his back and an M-16 in his hands.
Ti passed as the only sounds the police station could hear was the unyielding cries of zombies and the sound of bones being broken in with a blunt object.
Suddenly, rlin appeared in front if the headquarters' bullet-proof glass. But he did not move one inch, and the surrounding zombies suddenly covered him, trying to get through his armour-like skin.
Seeing this, the chief was scared witless. There was a man who cannot be bitten by the zombies, and his strength if on par with that of a bulldozer. The montum he carries with every step was unfathomable, and his actual combat experience was top-notch. This is what the chief had analyses so far.
"Heavens, how could a monster like him exist?" mumbled the chief in disbelief.
However, the wide grin on rlin's face suddenly disappeared as he looked at the 1st floor, from where unconcealed killing intent was rising. Due to his increased sense stat, rlin could even sense things like danger and killing intent. He looked up and saw a young officer, holding an RPG, aiming at his feet. Just with that, rlin knew that this was a well-trained officer, since an RPG to the head is likely to miss, while one at the feet would not only be almost impossible to dodge, but would also release shrapnel that could easily kill a person.
However, that was for a normal person, and not rlin.
"You can stop now" he said as he stared at the young officer, while crushing the skulls of the zombies around him with his feet.
"" everyone was speechless at this form of casual conversation while being surrounded by dozens of zombies.
After dealing with all the zombies surrounding him rlin whipped the blood from his face and put away his weapons. This action imdiately lowered the tension within the police headquarters.
"So, why are you trying to kill ?" questioned rlin with an amiable smile on his face.
But no one could respond. Nobody actually knew why they were ready to kill a human. Was it from fright? An instinctual desire to survive? An ancient reaction to a natural predator? Nobody was actually sure, even the chief was slightly stunned at the sudden question, but he soon recovered.
"Why are you here? This is just protection."
"Protection? From what? ?"
"Y- Yes." The chief was embarrassed at this fact. He had prepared an RPG for a fellow human, during a ti where survivors are as rare as uranium.
"Haha, you think this can stop ?"
"" Suddenly, everyone beca on guard with this stranger. Sam's finger was already on the trigger chanism, ready to fire the second the order was given.
rlin's figure suddenly blurred, before disappearing completely, followed by the sound of glass shattering above their heads.
On the first floor, Sam had already fallen on his bottom from fright, while rlin was standing a few ters away, holding his RPG and checking it out, before nodding in satisfaction.
"Follow " he said as he turned to look at Sam before moving to the stairs and walking down.
After about a minute of having to calm down, Sam reluctantly followed. The thing in front of them was not a human. He was a monster. An absolute monster, capable to climbing a floor, breaking bullet-proof glass along with the reinforcent, and snatching his weapon before Sa could even complete pulling the trigger. That thing would easily kill everyone in the entire base within seconds, and receive absolutely no damage. All they could do was to follow every single one of his commands and hope he spares them.
"I assu you are the chief?"
