Chapter 1725: Chapter 1619: Pursuit
"Damn, a Gatling gun!" Song Yun exclaid, reaching out to grab the nearby queen. His speed surged to the extre, and he dashed toward the dense trees.
At the sa ti,
a sharp whistling sound pierced the air!
Thump thump thump thump.
Bullets rained down like a storm behind Song Yun. The lush palm trees were instantly shredded to pieces! The bullets, like snakes, were relentlessly chasing Song Yun!
"Over there!" The queen suddenly pointed to a pit about a ter deep, shouting.
Song Yun swiftly turned, holding the queen, leaping into the pit.
Thump thump thump.
The silhouette of bullets hitting the ground passed by.
Although the Gatling gun was invented during the Qing Dynasty, after modern advancents and improvents, its firing rate has now reached up to three thousand bullets per minute. Under such intense firepower, any obstacles in its path are nothing but clouds.
Song Yun pressed the queen beneath him, the powerful gusts from the helicopter flapping his clothes. However, the people on the helicopter were shooting at the black-backed figure’s call, not actually seeing Song Yun and the queen. After a round of low-altitude strafing, the helicopter flew off into the distance.
Song Yun looked up at the sky, ensuring there was nothing around, then helped the queen up from beneath him. The queen still looked like a man, and seeing this, Song Yun shuddered at the thought of having just pressed such a "man" beneath him.
The queen noticed Song Yun’s expression, smirked, and said, "Are you regretting it now?"
"Regret what?" Song Yun asked.
"Regret holding
earlier."
"You’re overthinking it. Let’s go!" Song Yun stood up, grabbed the M4A1 lying nearby, and ran forward. The queen, a bit frustrated, wiped her face, suddenly transforming from a middle-aged man to a delicate beauty.
Of course, this wasn’t the queen’s true appearance. At this mont, she looked like a Russian beauty.
Song Yun slowed down a bit, waiting for the queen to catch up. Seeing her now, he felt a bit more at ease. Even if back in the trenches with Jack and other n, Song Yun had held and pressed them, they were genuinely male, and they had strong bonds. With the queen, knowing she’s female but seeing her as a man was truly awkward and weird.
"Better now?" the queen asked while running.
"Yeah, much better!" Song Yun nodded seriously.
The queen laughed, then her face showed a hint of confusion, asking, "By the way, Song Yun, how did you move so fast just now!?"
"Haha, you just realized?" Song Yun boasted, "I slowed down countless levels just to accommodate you!"
"Ha, let’s race!" The queen said, suddenly speeding up and overtaking Song Yun.
Song Yun chuckled, pushed off with a thump, and dashed out like a cheetah.
He instantly overtook the queen.
"Song Yun, how are you so fast!" The queen looked at Song Yun in shock.
"Of course, I’m currently a renowned figure on the War God List," Song Yun said, slowing down again.
"Why don’t you carry ?" The queen smirked, "Since you’re so fast!"
"Hey, no fair bullying!" Song Yun complained. Just then, he noticed the queen’s face turn pale.
"Damn, what happened to you?" Song Yun asked.
"A bullet grazed my leg!" The queen stopped, pointing to a bleeding scratch on her thigh, "It’s not deep, but it slows
down."
"Why didn’t you say so earlier!" Song Yun knelt down, gently pulled aside the queen’s pants, revealing the wound. Luckily, as the queen said, it was just a scratch.
"Are you crazy? Competing with
when you’re bleeding, are you brain-dead?" Song Yun grumbled, then turned, squatting down to carry the queen on his back.
"Don’t get too comfortable; keep an eye out. If there’s any disturbance, let
know imdiately," Song Yun instructed.
"Got it. Co on, Giddy up, Song Yun!" The queen playfully patted Song Yun’s head, and he ran forward with a dark face.
Even though it seed long, all this happened in less than three minutes. There’s still so distance to the rendezvous point with Jack. Carrying soone, Song Yun was a bit slower but still faster than when they were both running. Plus, with a beauty behind him, her trembling from running made contact with peaks below, stirring emotions.
Good tis are often short-lived. Perhaps not finding Song Yun, the helicopter that had flown ahead turned back. Just as Song Yun reached a clearing about twenty square ters, he was once again in the helicopter’s sights!
Once again, Song Yun heard the familiar engine sound.
"Damn it, you think my gun’s just for show? Queen, hold tight!" Song Yun shouted, shouldering the M4A1, aiming at the ard helicopter above, and fired a burst of bullets.
The M4A1 magazine holds forty bullets in total, and Song Yun almost emptied it in one go. The strong firepower forced the Gatling gun operator to temporarily hide behind the helicopter’s armor. Song Yun pressed a button on the M4A1, and with a clatter, the magazine dropped. Without pausing, he swiftly loaded another magazine — a highly skilled one-handed reload technique. The advantage of this thod is speed, and it’s operable with just one hand!
Song Yun raised the gun, firing another volley before the ard helicopter could launch a missile. This ti, his target was the helicopter’s fuel tank!
Perhaps it was Song Yun’s lucky day; the bullets hit the fuel tank, and with a boom, the helicopter beca a fireball mid-air. Song Yun handed the gun to the queen behind him, wrapped his arms around her, and quickly ran to the side.
In the next few minutes, Song Yun encountered no enemies. The two of them arrived unscathed at the banks of the kong River.
Here, a nondescript little wooden boat quietly floated on the water.
