Chapter 1683: Chapter 1577: Berserk
The butcher’s expression remained unchanged, only the muscles on his face twitched slightly. Then, he exerted a sudden force with his hand, the slaughtering knife gripped tightly to twist in ng Ku’s hand.
ng Ku frowned. Indeed, the butcher had imnse strength. Even when being forcibly held down, he could still muster such strength to twist the knife. If he succeeded, ng Ku’s hand would instantly be reduced to minced at.
Thus, ng Ku decisively let go, and the butcher took advantage of that mont to thrust the knife tip forward.
ng Ku retreated rapidly!
Three consecutive steps!
Stomp, stomp, stomp.
Although it was just three steps, ng Ku’s body retreated over five ters. By common sense, this should have been enough to avoid the attack, but unexpectedly, the butcher’s speed was just as fast, if not faster than ng Ku.
Stomp, stomp, stomp.
Similarly, in three steps, the butcher was even closer to ng Ku than before.
"Die!"
The butcher roared, and the knife tip originally aid at ng Ku’s neck suddenly slashed downward!
The blade of the slaughtering knife flashed a silver gleam; ng Ku’s clothes were instantly torn by the blade, revealing the healthy muscles underneath.
Rip.
The knife’s blade cut deeper than expected, slicing open a red cut on ng Ku’s chest. Although it barely broke the skin, it made ng Ku’s heart leap.
The butcher’s speed, strength, and skill were far stronger than imagined. Indeed, years of butchery should not be underestimated!
Seeing the blade about to continue into his flesh, ng Ku decisively twisted his body, spinning like a top in mid-air. This spin allowed the butcher’s blade to narrowly graze past ng Ku’s arm.
An excited gleam flashed in the butcher’s eyes, as he exclaid, "You’ve got skills!"
ng Ku sneered coldly, using the centrifugal force from the spin to deliver a decisive punch aid at the butcher’s left face!
The butcher swiftly swung his knife outward, and his whole body was carried by the knife’s weight, causing him to dodge ng Ku’s attack, then taking two steps back, stopping about five ters away from ng Ku.
"You’re still lacking," the butcher raised the sharp slaughtering knife and licked the blade with his tongue.
The blade cut the butcher’s tongue, causing blood to drip from the tongue onto the blade and then onto the ground.
"Psycho!" Song Yun, watching the excited butcher, sneered. This man’s mind had certainly reached a state of perversion, deriving pleasure even from self-harm—what else could that be called?
"ng Ku, the slaughtering knife is heavy," Song Yun said, seeing ng Ku’s furrowed brow with a smile.
ng Ku’s expression sharpened, then showed a look of realization.
"Don’t get any ideas; this weight ans nothing to !"
The butcher dismissively spoke as he noticed Song Yun warning ng Ku, then twirled the knife in his hand skillfully and said, "Next, this knife won’t just scratch your skin."
"There’s one thing I like to do too," ng Ku said, looking at the faint blood mark on his chest, "I like to send every sinful soul to face God’s purification."
"Hmph, all that talk of God Demons is just self-consolation from people like you," the butcher scoffed, spitting on the ground. "Even if you beg the gods now, it’s useless. You’ve piqued my interest."
"Shut up," ng Ku grunted dissatisfied, then naturally let his hands droop, saying, "Let’s see what you’re really made of."
"Co on!"
The butcher roared angrily, charging at ng Ku again with the slaughtering knife, while ng Ku stood calmly in place, assuming a simple starting posture as he watched the butcher approach.
Although the butcher’s eyes were bloodshot and filled with killing intent, his mind was rife with doubt. Why wasn’t this person moving? Was he scared stiff? That was clearly impossible. Could there be so conspiracy?
Despite many questions, the butcher didn’t slow down. Within the span of a breath, he was already in front of ng Ku.
He swung the knife.
ng Ku rose on his toes, sidestepped, then reached out—a seemingly slow yet fast grab, clutching the wrist holding the butcher’s knife.
Then, he forcibly pressed down with his palm.
Bam.
The butcher’s knife trembled violently, and at this mont, ng Ku’s body didn’t retreat but instead took a small step forward.
Originally, he and the butcher were about a ter apart, but this small step brought them almost to zero distance.
ng Ku’s palm opened and pressed directly against the butcher’s left ribs.
Bam.
A short burst of force.
Crack.
The butcher’s left rib was forcibly cracked by ng Ku’s strike.
However, the butcher’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. The wrist that ng Ku had struck suddenly jolted, flinging ng Ku’s hand away. Then, the butcher reversed the blade, bringing it parallel to the ground, and slashed toward ng Ku’s neck.
ng Ku reacted swiftly, ducking reflexively after cracking the butcher’s rib. This dodge allowed ng Ku to avoid the butcher’s sweeping slash.
"Bastard!"
Having his rib cracked by ng Ku and seeing his attack dodged, the butcher flew into a rage. His already exceptional speed increased by another notch, and his presence grew even more intimidating.
"Damn, did he just go Berserk?" Song Yun watched the butcher, face full of surprise.
The so-called Berserk state involves entering a state of extre excitent, using this to enhance one’s body significantly. A simple example is people who, after being oppressed for long, suddenly burst out one day, becoming frenzied, killing anyone and anything they encounter in a maddened state. This is one form of Berserk. Alternatively, it’s commonly called going crazy.
The butcher, having been taken advantage of by ng Ku twice, had his already twisted mind beco even more distorted, thus entering a Berserk state, or simply going crazy.
In this state, the butcher surpassed ng Ku entirely in both speed and power. Although ng Ku used so peculiar movent techniques and skills to hold his ground, it was only a matter of ti before he would be overpowered.
Sweat began to seep from ng Ku’s body as the butcher’s movents got faster. What he could initially parry had now beco overwhelming; he had several areas on his body cut by the butcher’s knife.
