Chapter 1606: Chapter 1500: The Tyrant Appears

As Song Yun jumped out following the Shadow, his body had just landed when the small hut’s door was blasted open. His body rolled on the ground. He simultaneously threw the daggers from his hands, causing two n to scream and fall down. Song Yun quickly got up and ran toward the flower bed where the Shadow was hiding.

If they could rush over there, they could leverage their strength to jump over the wall and escape. As Song Yun was sprinting towards the Shadow, who was safely hiding behind the flower bed, the Shadow suddenly dashed out.

"What are you doing..." Before Song Yun could finish shouting, he was knocked to the ground by the flying Shadow. Amid the crackling sound of gunfire, the Shadow’s body kept twitching. Song Yun realized the Shadow had been hit. Holding his body, they rolled repeatedly across the ground, all the way to the corner where they had initially entered the courtyard.

Once they settled for a mont, Song Yun reached to feel the Shadow’s back, finding it wet.

"Shadow, how are you?" Song Yun raised the Shadow’s head anxiously and asked.

The Shadow’s face was bruised and swollen, with ssy hair clumped together, his eyes tightly shut.

"Shadow."

Everyone should learn to define themselves, not only for themselves but also for those they’ve interacted with. The Shadow isn’t expressive, and Song Yun doesn’t know how the Shadow defines himself, but to him, the Shadow is a brother. Yes, they’re brothers.

The Shadow won’t pretend to be dead and then suddenly jump up saying he’s fine when you’re shedding tears mournfully. As long as he has a breath left, he’d frown and say, "Help

change my clothes, this set is too dirty."

But nothing like that happened. He simply lay quietly in Song Yun’s arms, peacefully closing his eyes.

"Shadow, how are you doing? Wake up." After checking the Shadow’s breath, which was extrely weak, Song Yun felt a mix of joy and worry. Joy because the Shadow wasn’t dead, and with tily treatnt, he should be okay; worry because they were surrounded, and how could they escape? If the Shadow wasn’t sent out for treatnt quickly, he’d really die.

If possible, Song Yun would surrender to them, as long as they agreed to send the Shadow out for treatnt. But Song Yun knew this thinking wasn’t realistic. Not to ntion that tonight, they had taken down many people, injured the Second Elder, and severed one of the Third Elder’s arms.

Just because the Shadow is the old man’s strongest supporter, they wouldn’t agree to let him go. Now both of them are trapped like turtles in a jar, why would they let one escape? Song Yun doesn’t have any conditions to negotiate with them.

"Over there, over there, hurry, you guys go over there." The Second Elder was commanding people to rush this way.

Life is full of surprises. A sure assassination failed, and now both were in such a predicant. Song Yun was unard, with a disabled person lying in his arms. It seed he couldn’t escape this calamity. When they got here, they wouldn’t hesitate to shoot. Against overwhelming power, no trick would be of use. Although Song Yun could easily run away now to escape, he’d never get past himself in the future, never reach the legendary realm, let alone challenge the Kunpeng.

It is said that one thinks of a lot before death, but the approaching footsteps tightened Song Yun’s nerves, leaving no chance for recollection. Damn it, not even a chance to say goodbye to loved ones.

Song Yun felt sothing protruding from his buttocks. He touched it—it was a small stone. He listened closely to the footsteps, and quickly threw the stone out.

When the stone fell with a thud, the n approaching the corner quickly scattered and lay down. Thinking it was a grenade.

After waiting for a while and hearing no explosion, they cursed and got up angrily, rushing towards Song Yun.

Song Yun smiled bitterly. It only delayed death by a second, without any real effect.

Bam! A loud noise rang out as the courtyard door was suddenly blasted from outside, falling inward.

An old man in white entered, glanced coldly at the scene, and calmly said, "Stop."

The n who were about to arrest Song Yun hesitated, not knowing whether to listen to the old man or the other elders, and then all looked back at the Second Elder.

"Great Elder, what do you an by this?" the Sixth Elder pointed at the old man and asked.

"What kind of order is maintained when the sect is fighting and killing within itself?" the old man said sternly.

"Fighting and killing within the sect? We are cleaning up the gates. Why has Song Yun, who was expelled, entered the Green Dragon Sect again?" the Sixth Elder asked with a sneer.

"I have taken him as my disciple again."

"Have you forgotten the rules? If an elder selects a disciple, the Elder Council must approve it. Did we approve it?"

"I decided today. I’ll report tomorrow," the old man replied nonchalantly.

"Then what were he and the Shadow doing with weapons at my house tonight?" the Second Elder asked mockingly.

"This boy is quite filial. He returned today and thought to visit each elder. You’re the Second Elder, so naturally, he would visit you first," said the old man casually. Song Yun realized for the first ti that his master was even more shaless than him. He felt sowhat guilty, while the old man looked as if it was the facts, cool as hell.

"How do you explain them being ard?" the Second Elder’s face flushed with anger. This ti, he must find a way to get rid of the master and disciple to prevent them from becoming more difficult to eliminate in the future. Furthermore, Song Yun returned today and imdiately targeted him, and he wouldn’t believe it wasn’t the old man’s intention. But why did the old man suddenly get ruthless after years of fighting? They were intense before, but at least preserved the camaraderie of being in the sa sect, never resorting to real firearms. Could it be!! He discovered the transaction between him and the Hong Sect? They couldn’t be kept anymore.

"It’s just a habit. You’re overthinking."

"Humph, a habit. Have a look at my chest. He cut it, harming elders is his habit too? The Third Elder’s arm, torn off by him, is that his habit as well?" The Second Elder pointed at his chest covered with a simple bandage and said, the Third Elder was already carried away for treatnt, so he couldn’t use him as evidence.

"I will find out the truth of the matter and give everyone an explanation. Song Yun, co over here." The old man called to Song Yun from his hiding place.

Song Yun obeyed his master’s words, quickly holding the Shadow and stood up, heading towards his master.

"No way, he can’t leave," insisted the Second Elder blocking Song Yun.

"Why?" the old man asked, glaring sharply at the Second Elder.

"He killed so many people, now just let him walk away? You’re too biased, wouldn’t this make other sect disciples unhappy?"

"Whether he killed anyone or not, I don’t know, I only see my disciple being surrounded." The old man walked to Song Yun, checked the Shadow’s breathing, and said to Song Yun, "Take him for treatnt."

"Great Elder, what are you really up to? Do you still want to hold on to the position of Great Elder? If not, we should choose soone else." The Supre Elder pointed angrily at the old man and shouted.

"Whatever." The old man shielded Song Yun, letting him go first.

"Great Elder, since you do not appreciate it, don’t bla us. Stop them," The Supre Elder ordered the dozen n in front of him.

"Yes." The group of n chased after Song Yun who had not gone far. The old man stood like a mountain at the doorway, blocking their advance.

While they were unsure what to do, the Supre Elder’s voice echoed from behind. "He’s no longer the Great Elder. Kill him as well."

"No one moves." Behind the old man, a row of black-clad n carrying guns erged. Leading them was a robust man with a bearded face; it was the Tyrant.
