Chapter 1467: Chapter 1452: Arrival in Japan
rb, this island nation located in East Asia.
Its geographic size isn’t large, comparable to just a few provinces in Shen Zhou, yet this small country is truly not to be underestimated.
It was this nation, together with Germany and Italy at the ti, that ford the Axis Powers group, launching the astonishing Second World War. It was during that ti when rb began its open invasion of Shen Zhou. This invasion turned the previously decent relationship between Shen Zhou and rb into animosity, even mortal enemies.
Here, it needs to be explained why rb and Shen Zhou had good relations in the past. It’s quite simple; early rb was actually an uncivilized nation. When Shen Zhou had already entered the Feudal Era, rb was still in the primitive society period. Our developnt in Shen Zhou thousands of years ago was far ahead of rb by unknown asures, so at that ti, rb would often send people to Shen Zhou to learn, offer tribute, and pay respects.
I must say, rb is an admirable nation. They have always been learning from surrounding countries. After hundreds of years of developnt, this learning has beco deeply rooted in rb people’s bones, hence their later ability to invade Shen Zhou, rather than Shen Zhou invading them.
rb’s developnt likely started during the Shogunate Era. Back then, the various local shoguns were similar to the lords of Shen Zhou in the past, developing independently. However, their scale wasn’t comparable to Shen Zhou’s. Their so-called great battles at most involved dozens of people fighting dozens of people. Even historic epic battles had at most a few hundred people fighting, which is incomparable to Shen Zhou’s wars involving tens of thousands at a ti. I must scorn our ancestors here for engaging in significant civil wars without dispatching so troops to little rb and directly conquering rb, which would have avoided many problems now. When Cao Cao went to Chibi, it was claid to be 800,000 troops, while at that ti, rb’s total population was likely not even 800,000.
However, although the shoguns during the Shogunate Era weren’t very powerful, in Shen Zhou people’s eyes, they were rely small bandits. Yet, they were very adept at learning and frequently communicated and interacted with Shen Zhou. During the Ming Dynasty, little rb, also known as the so-called Wa Pirates at the ti, often caused chaos along Shen Zhou’s coastal areas, robbing people and goods.
Then Shen Zhou underwent a very dark period under the Qing Dynasty, reaching the extres of isolation while little rb gradually developed into a military power; our history of being bullied began thereafter.
After the victory in the resistance war, although rb was a defeated nation, the discord between the United States and the forr Soviet Union led the United States to urgently need a partner in East Asia to contain the forr Soviet Union. Little rb was chosen by the Aricans and, after the two countries entwined, rb’s developnt progressed even faster. The Aricans were smart, developing rb to contain Shen Zhou and the forr Soviet Union, two superpowers.
Until now, rb has been a global economic center. Its gross national product may not be higher than Shen Zhou’s, but its GDP per capita can easily surpass Shen Zhou’s beyond the Great Wall.
Shen Zhou people think they are very strong, but they still rely on the old ways; more people an more power.
By Song Yun’s era, rb’s developnt had reached an extre, leading to increasing societal contradictions. So, to weaken these contradictions, rb’s governnt must shift the people’s focus elsewhere, like territorial disputes.
rb has territorial disputes with neighboring countries such as South Korea, Russia, and Shen Zhou. However, South Korea is Arica’s mistress, and rb, being Arica’s concubine, at most can only shout a few words and doesn’t dare to act against the mistress. As for Russia, they are Russians, tougher than everyone, if you dare touch them, they will retaliate fiercely. Hence, rb also doesn’t dare to be too flamboyant with Russia, leaving only Shen Zhou.
Among the countries has territorial disputes with rb, only xxx of Shen Zhou is held by rb, though why this is the case I do not know.
To summarize it succinctly:
When rb people have territorial disputes with Korean people, the Koreans say, "I’ll call the United States!"
rb people have no choice.
rb people have territorial disputes with Russian people, the Russians say, "Keep making trouble and I’ll beat you!"
rb people can’t do anything about it.
rb people have territorial disputes with Shen Zhou people, Shen Zhou people say, "Oh, dear, don’t do this, let’s sit down and have a good talk about it, don’t harm our friendship, we’re neighbors after all, neighbors should live in harmony. Anyway, with territorial things, you say it’s yours and I say it’s mine, neither of us can convince the other. We’re trying to make money here, just don’t be too aggressive and upset my family, okay?"
Thus, rb people slap over and over.
We continue to say, "Oh dear, don’t hit , what’s the point of hitting ? Can it solve anything? You hit
and I’ll protest, condemn, sternly protest, strongly intervene, then take a break over the weekend, and repeat the cycle next week!"
Then they kick over with big feet, hitting the small JJ, and so people can’t endure anymore, saying, "You’ve kicked my small JJ, then... then I won’t be nice to you anymore!"
This is how it is.
However, everything has two sides.
At least, whenever there’s a territorial dispute, the internal contradictions of the people are effectively redirected outwardly. Shen Zhou people are a very peculiar nation; facing oppression from officials, heirs to wealth, and heir apparents, they like to complain, grumble quietly, occasionally staging minor opposition. But when these oppressors say, oh dear, foreigners are coming to take our things, many Shen Zhou people behave in a way more indignant than anyone else, acting as if they’ve seized their wives and children. While they mute during children drinking toxic milk, eating gutter oil, seeing governnt insiders flee with huge sums, or witnessing forced demolitions, they suddenly beco fervent when an air of patriotism is imposed.
What kind of ntality is this?
Maybe it’s really like the rb person that Song Yun took out said; it’s servility.
Song Yun’s mind was full of these thoughts as he watched the ghosts with hurried movents but determined expressions walking past him and couldn’t help but sigh.
So things are beyond his control.
"Song Yun, this is my first ti in the land of the Wa Pirates!"
Shi Huntian curiously observed his surroundings.
This is Tokyo Airport.
It’s filled with ghosts inside.
