Chapter 1091: Chapter 1077: War of Attrition

Chen Yang’s modified Mitsubishi coupe performs remarkably well, similar to ng Ku among the people Song Yun has seen. The pedals are very light, pressing down a bit reaches the bottom. Since this is an indoor track, the line is quite clear. The first to appear before Song Yun and his team is a large curve. For such a curve, if you just make a regular turn, you need to steer outward and then diagonally cut into the curve to avoid rushing off the track. But these guys aren’t ordinary.

The three of them enter the curve almost simultaneously. However, Prince’s driving skills are really impressive. He manages to hit the spot first when entering the curve, cuts into the inner circle first, and then hits the gas and brakes directly. A beautiful drift; the front of the car nearly brushes the inside of the bend, wasting no ti or space.

Song Yun and Li Baoshi, possibly due to their cars, are slightly slower than Prince when entering the curve. After Prince takes the inner track, Song Yun swings the steering and drifts through the curve at almost the sa speed and angle as Prince, sticking to the outer side of Prince’s car.

The distance between the two cars is less than half a ter, and this distance remains constant throughout the drift, proving both of their driving skills are superb.

Li Baoshi is no less skilled. Even though Song Yun and Prince occupy the favorable position, Li Baoshi slightly swings the car tail outward while entering the curve. Although this may destabilize the car, it helps recover so disadvantage after passing the bend.

After the curve, there’s about a hundred-ter acceleration zone. Prince’s car is in first place, Song Yun’s is almost parallel with Prince’s, and Li Baoshi is roughly half a car length behind.

Song Yun’s deanor is quite relaxed. One hand on the keyboard, and the other casually picking his nose. anwhile, Liu Ruoxi’s face is sowhat pale. As soone who jumped into the great ranks of civil servants right after university, Liu Ruoxi has never experienced anything this wild.

The craziest thing seed to be that ti she got drunk at ho, otherwise her life has almost been a calm river, steadily progressing forward without major waves or fluctuations.

"How do you feel?" Song Yun asked Liu Ruoxi with interest.

"Not bad!" Liu Ruoxi felt dizzy. Drifting looks elegant, but when soone not experienced sits inside a car during a drift, they might feel disoriented, leading to carsickness.

"Not feeling carsick, are you?" Song Yun smiled and asked, noticing Liu Ruoxi’s unusual complexion.

"No, I don’t get carsick!" Liu Ruoxi stubbornly replied.

Song Yun chuckled, noticing the car was about to enter a curve, while Prince had started to decelerate. Song Yun suddenly hit the accelerator hard and sped ahead, instantly overtaking Prince.

"Hmph, looking to die!" Prince sneered as he saw Song Yun increase the throttle right before the curve. At this speed, entering the curve certainly risks going off-track. Once off-track, controlling the car becos very difficult, essentially leading to a crash.

However, Song Yun’s car did not fly off the track as Prince predicted. After overtaking him, Song Yun abruptly reduced the speed and perford another beautiful drift.

This drift was slightly different from the last one. Prince’s drift stuck close to the inner side of the track, whereas Song Yun’s wheels almost touched the grass on the inside of the track. Just a few centiters more and they’d have rushed off the course.

But these few centiters seed like an insurmountable chasm, with Song Yun’s car just brushing past without hitting the grass, directly clearing the curve.

Song Yun is in the lead!

Although leading, it’s just half a car’s length ahead. Due to performance differences, this gap was soon reclaid by Prince at the next bend. But Song Yun closed the gap with extraordinary tight inner-lane drifts, while Li Baoshi appeared less competitive, trailing about one car length behind Prince.

The two leading cars drift back and forth, leaving Li Baoshi no route to advance. This annoyed Li Baoshi, but unless Song Yun or Prince had an accident, Li Baoshi would find it difficult to surpass them.

After navigating seven or eight bends, Liu Ruoxi’s face was pale as a sheet. Song Yun didn’t expect Liu Ruoxi to falter so easily, given they were only seven or eight bends in and faced a five-consecutive hairpin bend up next. What were they to do?

Liu Ruoxi felt extrely dizzy, regretting following Song Yun into the car, making her nauseated beyond asure, her stomach churning as if on the verge of vomiting.

"You okay?" Song Yun looked at Liu Ruoxi and asked.

"I’m... I’m fine!" Liu Ruoxi, soone who could beco a mayor, naturally had a strong personality. Song Yun’s questioning prompted her to speak while holding her mouth.

Song Yun furrowed his brow and said, "Up next are five consecutive hairpins; let

know if you can’t manage!"

"Hmm!" Liu Ruoxi nodded without speaking, fearing she might vomit if she opened her mouth.

Soon, the race neared its end. Song Yun, with his superb skills, kept Prince at a distance of half to one car length. After a lengthy tug-of-war, the five consecutive hairpin bends finally ca into view!

There’s no need to elaborate on Song Yun’s technique entering the bends; it was virtually consecutive drifting. Song Yun quickly widened the half-car gap over Prince, stretching to one car length, then two.

At the third hairpin bend, Prince was already left two car lengths behind by Song Yun.

Song Yun’s victory seed inevitable!

Just as Song Yun was about to clear the fourth hairpin bend, he noticed Liu Ruoxi’s face suddenly turn, her body started trembling.

Frowning slightly, Song Yun stepped on the brakes, pulling the car over and stopping.
