Chapter 1022: Chapter 1010: The Stolen Bag

Song Yun, in all his years, had never heard such an explanation before. Dragon Year shrimp are dragon shrimp? So, in the Year of the Dog, are they dog shrimp? And the Year of the Pig, pig shrimp?

This... this is just nonsense!

Just as Song Yun wanted to argue further, Mo Yuyao interrupted, "It’s just a gimmick, but it tastes pretty good."

"Nowadays, businessn really have so tricks," Song Yun remarked with admiration, completely forgetting that he himself was a businessman, and often a rather unscrupulous one at that.

They stayed at the barbecue place until past eleven that night. Mo Yuyao indulged herself, eating with her face glowing with satisfaction. Song Yun couldn’t help but feel a bit of heartache seeing this. These things used to be easily available in Mo Yuyao’s life.

"Let’s go." Mo Yuyao patted her flat stomach contentedly and said, "I’m full!"

"Let’s go." Song Yun stood up with a smile, leading Mo Yuyao out of the barbecue shop.

There were hardly any people on the street now, and as it was only early spring, the weather was still a bit chilly.

As the cold wind blew, Mo Yuyao shivered.

Song Yun, being the gentleman, naturally took off his jacket and handed it to Mo Yuyao.

"Put it on." Song Yun said.

"No need." Mo Yuyao shook her head and said, "You only have a vest underneath. If you catch a cold, my guilt would be huge! You’re the benefactor of our Xiangyang Village."

"Don’t say benefactor this and that," Song Yun replied. "I’m just doing what I should. Compared to you, I’m far from it. You’re the real benefactor of Xiangyang Village."

"I’m just a villager of Xiangyang Village," Mo Yuyao corrected.

"Haha, villagers get cold too, right? Put it on!" Song Yun insisted, draping the jacket over Mo Yuyao.

Song Yun’s status was different now, and he no longer wore those cheap market clothes. Although his jacket wasn’t any world-famous brand, it was worth at least a thousand yuan and was quite warm. As Mo Yuyao felt the warmth from the jacket, it reminded her of the first ti she t Song Yun in prison.

Back then, it seed like Song Yun had been beaten up.

At the thought of this, Mo Yuyao suddenly burst into laughter.

"What are you laughing at?" Song Yun asked.

"Nothing, nothing!" Mo Yuyao shook her head.

"Really nothing?" Song Yun asked, puzzled. "Why does your smile seem a bit mischievous to ?"

"Definitely no ill intent. I just rembered sothing," Mo Yuyao replied.

"What did you rember?"

"I rembered the ti in prison when we first t. You were beaten up really badly!" Mo Yuyao laughed as she said it.

Song Yun awkwardly scratched his head and said, "Well, a hero doesn’t talk about his past bravery."

"But, later on, you were really annoying, even tricking !" Mo Yuyao said discontentedly, "You made

sad for a long ti."

"That was my fault!" Song Yun said, "But, I had my reasons, didn’t I?"

"Yes, I understood later," Mo Yuyao said as she walked, swinging the bag in her hand. "Those are all things of the past. It feels like it happened just yesterday."

"Those are all mories," Song Yun said. "Our mories."

"Our mories?" Mo Yuyao’s eyes flashed with a semblance of confusion, which quickly cleared. She said, "Yes, things worth rembering for many years."

"Let’s hurry up and go back to sleep. We have to head to GZ in the morning!" Song Yun said.

"Mm! Let’s go."

As the two were heading towards the hotel,

the sound of a motorcycle ca from not far away.

Song Yun turned his head to look. It was two people, but they were both wearing helts, and the speed of the bike wasn’t particularly fast.

Song Yun only took a glance. It was late at night, with many people returning ho from their late shifts. Although the full-face helt looked quite impressive, there wasn’t much worth noting.

Song Yun and Mo Yuyao continued chatting.

The motorcycle behind them slowly approached.

Just then, the motorcycle’s engine suddenly roared.

Song Yun furrowed his brow, just about to pull Mo Yuyao to the side, when suddenly, a gust of wind swept by.

The motorcycle, like a wild horse out of control, zipped past Mo Yuyao, speeding away into the distance.

Mo Yuyao’s scream imdiately followed.

"Ah, my bag!"

They saw the purse hanging from Mo Yuyao’s shoulder and the bag in her hand being snatched away by the person on the back seat of the motorcycle. This sudden tug almost pulled Mo Yuyao to the ground.

Fortunately, Song Yun had quick reflexes and caught Mo Yuyao.

"Song Yun, my bag!" Mo Yuyao wasn’t even concerned about herself almost being dragged to the ground. She imdiately bolted after the motorcycle. But how could anyone hope to catch up to a motorcycle on foot? In re seconds, the motorcycle was only a tail light in the distance.

"My bag!" Mo Yuyao looked helplessly at the departing motorcycle, almost wailing, "Inside... there’s money..."

"How much money?" Song Yun asked.

"One thousand yuan... It was entrusted to

to take back to the village by soone working outside! What do I do now? That family can’t survive without this money," Mo Yuyao began to cry.

"Wait here for !" Song Yun left with just those words and dashed off.

"Ah?" Mo Yuyao looked at Song Yun in surprise, then saw him dash off.

His speed was astonishingly fast, to the point where Mo Yuyao found it hard to believe. Song Yun’s figure quickly disappeared into the night.

"This..." Mo Yuyao watched Song Yun, montarily feeling confused. Was Song Yun planning to chase that motorcycle?

Though unsure if Song Yun could catch up, Mo Yuyao rembered his last words, and went to stand in front of a shop, waiting for him.

Song Yun’s speed was incredibly fast!

At that mont, Song Yun’s speed reached an unimaginable level, his figure in the night resembling a leopard, a re shadow flickering by, leaving nothing behind.

In the distance, the tail light of a motorcycle gradually ca into Song Yun’s view. The person sitting at the back held one bag and two purses.
