Chapter 46: Chapter 46 Untouchable Existence
"Get out." Chen Cheng knew that with Nangong Yi here, it was impossible for him to speak with Wu Tian.
"What did you say?" Nangong Yi and his female fans all wondered if they had heard him correctly.
"I said get out," Chen Cheng roared, seeing that Nangong Yi was apparently hard of hearing.
"You..." Nangong Yi was furious. With a wave of his hand, he spat, "Fine. Goodbye."
Breathing heavily with rage, Nangong Yi left with his female fans.
Chen Cheng turned back to Wu Tian and whispered, "Boss, are you satisfied now?"
Wu Tian nodded. He had no desire for Chen Cheng to cling to him.
"Good, good, good." Overjoyed by Wu Tian’s reaction, Chen Cheng turned and ran off.
「...」
Nangong Yi and his fans arrived at the company cafeteria. He imdiately found a pri spot, already occupied by two junior employees eating their al. He paid them no mind, walking over with a smile. "Could you please move?"
The two junior employees were reluctant, but they knew this was a "polite" offer, and refusing it would an facing the unpleasant alternative. They had no choice but to get up and find another place to eat.
Nangong Yi sat down, and his fans ca over, having already gotten his food.
"Oppa, what exactly is Wu Tian’s background?" Being perceptive, Bing Hong had already started to wonder about this.
"Yeah, how did he beco Head of the Logistics Departnt right after joining?"
"I heard the Chairman brought him in."
"And his driving skills are incredible. Where would a normal person learn skills like that?"
Nangong Yi grew irritated at the ntion of Wu Tian’s na. Then, a thought struck him, and his eyes lit up with schadenfreude as he said, "Nalan Feng is coming back soon. Wu Tian is in for so serious trouble."
Nalan Feng was a mber of the Nalan Family, one of Yang City’s four great families, which boasted famous ancestors. He spent two-thirds of the year relaxing abroad. With his return, Nangong Yi knew trouble was brewing for Wu Tian.
Nalan Feng did not permit any other n near Qin Yuhan. Even Nangong Yi himself had to be extrely cautious, not daring to interact with her too much when Nalan Feng was around. Furthermore, Nalan Feng had once declared, "All the beauties of Yang City will be mine for the taking!"
At this thought, Bing Hong and the others clapped their hands, eager to see Wu Tian’s downfall.
「...」
After their al, Wu Tian and Liang Qingren returned to their posts.
In the afternoon, Li Muge suddenly ca looking for Wu Tian. As soon as she entered the Logistics Departnt, she beckoned to him with a curl of her finger. "Co here."
After speaking, she even gave Wu Tian a flirtatious wink.
The n in the Logistics Departnt were filled with envy, jealousy, and resentnt. Does Wu Tian have so kind of complicated relationship with Li Muge, too?
Lin Fa was also stunned. Li Muge was enchanting, beautiful, and had a curvaceous figure—the ultimate feminine ideal. He couldn’t believe his boss was so capable. He could handle not only Liang Qingren but even Li Muge?
"Jealous?" Wu Tian asked with a smile as he walked past Lin Fa on his way to Li Muge.
"Yeah," Lin Fa nodded vigorously.
"Out with the old, in with the new," Wu Tian said before walking over to Li Muge.
Lin Fa clenched his fists, his gaze firming as he muttered to himself, "I understand. I won’t be infatuated with soone like that again."
When Wu Tian approached, Li Muge’s seductive eyes scanned him from head to toe, as if she could never get enough.
"Do you need sothing?" Wu Tian asked.
There wasn’t the slightest ripple of emotion in his eyes, which disappointed Li Muge. Does my charm really have no effect on you at all?
"The CEO is looking for you," she said.
"Alright." Wu Tian nodded and headed to the CEO’s office.
As he walked in, he asked with a playful smile, "Why did you call for ? Don’t tell
you want
to entertain clients again."
Qin Yuhan disliked air conditioning, and since the room had grown warm, she had taken off her jacket. Wearing a won’s blouse, she perfectly blended a young woman’s pure charm with the alluring grace expected of a CEO.
If she wasn’t a goddess, then who was?
However, Wu Tian’s gaze remained placid as he appreciated her beauty dispassionately. After all, as the Immortal Emperor, what kind of woman hasn’t he seen? Why would he ever reveal the gaze of a common man?
Looking at Wu Tian, Qin Yuhan said, "I just received so news."
"What news?" Wu Tian asked, puzzled.
"Do you know a man nad Nalan Feng?" Qin Yuhan stared directly into his eyes, trying to see if he would show any fear.
"I do," Wu Tian nodded. "Your aunt and uncle ntioned him last ti, didn’t they?"
"He’s terrifying," Qin Yuhan said gravely.
"Terrifying?" Wu Tian shrugged, fighting the urge to laugh. The truly terrifying one wasn’t anyone else. It was him, Wu Tian. Given ti, his laughter could summon tempests, and his fury could freeze the Cang Sea. An enemy? He would destroy them. The entire world? He would slaughter it all without a second thought.
"Don’t underestimate him," Qin Yuhan said, growing anxious at his nonchalance. "The Nalan Family is the most powerful of Yang City’s four great families. He’s ruthless at finding opportunities to attack people, so you should try to avoid going out for a while. Anyone he targets suffers a terrible fate. He literally gouges out people’s eyes—all his enemies have ended up blind."
Seeing her sudden concern for him, Wu Tian smiled.
"What are you laughing at? Did I say sothing wrong?" Qin Yuhan asked, frustrated.
"Yes, you’re wrong. Qin Yuhan, you need to understand that the strongest person in the world is standing right in front of you."
Wu Tian’s gaze shifted, and the look in his eyes sent a shiver through Qin Yuhan. It was a gaze that seed to transcend all living things, one that no mortal should possess. It was the gaze of a god.
Wu Tian was the Wutian Celestial Emperor. Having returned to the modern world, everyone aside from his family and friends was rely part of a ga to him. Wu Tian could grant life, or he could command death. Mortals treated ants as playthings to be trampled at will. In Wu Tian’s eyes, mortals were nothing more than ants.
It was fine as long as they didn’t provoke him. But if they did, the consequences would be dire.
"You..." In that mont, Wu Tian’s eyes seed as divine as those of a deity from the Nine Heavens, leaving Qin Yuhan utterly frozen in place.
"I’m going back to work. Find
after we’re done for the day," he said. "As for Nalan Feng... heh. If he wants to be my opponent, he isn’t worthy. But I don’t mind granting him and his family... extinction."
With that, Wu Tian departed.
A long mont passed before Qin Yuhan finally snapped back to her senses, shaking her head. Was that just an illusion?
But she remained deeply worried. She had personally witnessed Nalan Feng’s terrifying nature. He could kill with a smile on his face. Once, his own cousin had rely beaten him in a ga, and Nalan Feng had gouged the boy’s eyes out while he was still alive.
How could Wu Tian possibly be a match for Nalan Feng?
