Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Little Guy Showing Off Again (3rd Update)
CRACK. A crisp sound echoed as the bone fractured.
The little girl finally let go of Gona and giggled. "It’s your own fault for not crying out. You can’t bla ; I’m just a child."
Gona’s face twitched. A child? What a joke.
Gona gloomily returned to his seat. Nangong Yi was inwardly shocked. A little girl this powerful... It only strengthened his conviction as he whispered, "I told you we should make things difficult for them, not use brute force. You have only yourself to bla for not listening."
Gona gave a hollow chuckle. His right hand was now useless. He wanted to go to the hospital, but his pride wouldn’t allow it.
Gona said in a low voice, "Nangong Yi, what about you? Are you just going to sit here and do nothing?"
Nangong Yi glanced at Gona, then turned his gaze to Wu Tian and the little girl with a smile. "I hear this place has so excellent alcohol. When I was a King of Soldiers in Europe, I learned that being a King of Soldiers requires more than just combat prowess; you also need a secondary specialty. For example, I can mix cocktails."
Seeming to understand Nangong Yi’s plan, Gona imdiately played along. "I’ve long heard there’s an incredible cocktail master in Europe. Nangong Yi, co to think of it, he has the sa na as you. That must be you, right?"
Nangong Yi nodded and had soone bring over the alcohol. Right in front of Wu Tian and the little girl, he began to mix the drinks. The shakers and glasses flew through his hands as if he were juggling. The display alone was quite a spectacle, full of artistic flair.
The little girl was fascinated and clapped her small hands. "Wow, impressive! Here’s a reward for you." With that, she tossed a one yuan coin next to Nangong Yi.
Nangong Yi was mortified. Is this little girl trying to humiliate ? Does she think I’m so street perforr?
Nangong Yi quickly composed himself. He had already combined several types of liquor into a shaker and was shaking it vigorously. Finally, he finished preparing a five-layer cocktail. He placed it before Wu Tian and the little girl. "My honored guests, please have a taste."
Now it was ti for their little act. Gona imdiately chid in, "Hey, Nangong Yi, no offense, but a cocktail this fine should be enjoyed by soone who actually knows their alcohol. You’re giving it to them? Can they even appreciate what they’re drinking?"
The little girl snorted. "This drink is nothing special."
"That’s right, it really is nothing special." In the little girl’s eyes, Wu Tian was omnipotent. And she wasn’t wrong; Wu Tian considered himself omnipotent as well. His natural gifts had long since been modified, granting him abilities like a photographic mory and the capacity to learn any skill just by watching it once. He had watched countless videos of master mixologists and was already an expert bartender, though he had never actually mixed a drink for anyone.
So even though Nangong Yi’s performance was flashy, in Wu Tian’s eyes, his skills were rely passable.
Nangong Yi started to get annoyed. "You think my bartending is poor? Are you kidding ?"
Gona felt Wu Tian’s comnt was the perfect opening. He seized the opportunity and smirked at him. "Mr. Wu Tian, if you say Nangong Yi’s bartending is poor, you must be a master yourself! Nangong Yi, what are you waiting for? Quickly ask him for so pointers."
Nangong Yi was inwardly delighted. Wu Tian took the bait so easily. This is simpler than I thought. He said, "Yes, please, allow
to witness what it ans to ’show off one’s ager skills before an expert.’"
Wu Tian chuckled. He’s practically begging to be humiliated. Of course, I have to oblige him. Since he wants to lose face so badly, I’ll make sure the slap is extra harsh.
Wu Tian looked at the little girl and said, "My dear, you go and compete with him."
The little girl was bewildered. I know how to mix drinks? Since when? But she trusted Wu Tian’s mysterious abilities, so after a mont’s thought, she nodded. "Fine, I’ll compete."
Nangong Yi felt utterly humiliated. But she’s just a child. How could her bartending possibly be better than mine? When Wu Tian had told the little girl to compete, Nangong Yi noticed her conflicted expression. It was obvious she didn’t know the first thing about mixing drinks.
Still, Nangong Yi put on a professional air and asked her, "So, what types of alcohol will you require for your cocktail?"
The little girl had no idea what to ask for, so she waved her hand dismissively. "Anything is fine. A true master doesn’t bla their tools. No matter what alcohol you bring, I can mix a better cocktail than you."
Wu Tian stood by silently, watching his daughter show off.
Nangong Yi chuckled and clapped his hands, calling for a Servant to bring a selection of alcohol, which included baijiu, Maotai, and a random assortnt of other spirits. Mixing these all together would be like creating a "dark beverage." He was eager to see the little girl cry.
Soon, all the bottles were placed on the table in front of her.
Witnessing this, Gona couldn’t help but whisper to Nangong Yi, "You’re a wicked one. So many different kinds of alcohol, and so of their flavors clash terribly. If you mix them together, the result could be deadly."
Nangong Yi just smiled without a word. He was determined to make the little girl suffer. Who told her to be Wu Tian’s daughter?
The little girl looked toward Wu Tian, who just smiled and said, "Go ahead."
The little girl understood. Wu Tian wanted her to just put on a show and go through the motions. As for the actual taste, she would leave everything to him.
The little girl grinned. She couldn’t miss this chance to show off. She imdiately grabbed a bottle and, clumsily imitating Nangong Yi’s earlier movents, poured it into a shaker. She shook it with all her might before adding another bottle and shaking it again.
Even Gona, who knew nothing about bartending, could tell from her movents that she was a complete amateur. So what did the expert Nangong Yi think?
If those actions can produce a cocktail, I’ll kill myself right here, Nangong Yi thought contemptuously. Her mixing lacked any of his grace; she looked more like a child playing with toys.
"Done!" Finally, the little girl poured the entire concoction into a single glass and smiled.
"Is that even drinkable?" Nangong Yi chuckled. "Little miss, you’ve already lost."
Gona also chid in loftily, "Little miss, you know perfectly well you can’t mix drinks. Just admit you’ve lost."
Wu Tian just chuckled. He clenched his fist, and an invisible pulse of Spiritual Energy rippled out.
Instantly, the liquid in the glass transford. It separated into nine distinct, colorful layers. At the sa ti, an exquisite, unparalleled aroma of the finest liquor wafted out. Just a single whiff made Nangong Yi and Gona swallow hard, their mouths watering involuntarily.
Seeing their reaction, the little girl imdiately seized the opportunity. "Well, Nangong Yi? Do you see what a clown you are now? Daring to talk about bartending in front of , have you no sha? What’s that? You want to be my apprentice? No, your aptitude is far too poor. I refuse."
Nangong Yi nearly coughed up a mouthful of blood. Beco your apprentice? I haven’t said a single thing!
