Chapter 124: sothing surprising and strange
Two weeks passed.
Damian and the others have returned to their new mansion after going on a honeymoon to Turkey, Korea, and Singapore. The man imdiately took his son to the playroom which turned out to have been decorated with quite high artificial clouds complete with several colored lights so that the room looked like it was above the sky according to the kids’s imagination.
"Yeah, I love it, I can touch the clouds!"
Daniel jumped here and there on several cloud-shaped mattresses, complete with pillows and bolsters, and then around him there were lots of toys, especially miniature planes and many more.
Damian also joined in the ga by inviting him to wrestle on the soft mat.
"Now you have to accompany him to play because Hannah needs to rest," said Valerie, imdiately leaving the playroom and moving to her upstairs room.
The woman, wearing blue overalls with open sleeves, walked while occasionally massaging her back as if she was tired.
"Looks like I have to get a massage tonight," he said with an uncomfortable look.
"Valerie..."
She saw Hannah had just co out of Daniel’s room which was next to hers.
"Hannah," said Valerie. "You can rest now. Let Daniel be taken care of by his dad," she continued with a look of pity at Hannah who looked so pale and lethargic.
Hannah swallowed her saliva, looking at Valerie who had now arrived in front of her.
"Um... I think we should talk," she said.
"Sure....what do you want to say?"
"Um..." Hannah looked at Valerie sadly, thinking her words would disappoint her.
Valerie noticed Hannah Montana who was nervous, then glanced at the hall upstairs and imdiately took her there, then sat on the couch.
"Is there a problem? Please don’t hesitate to say it. Maybe you feel uncomfortable or need sothing... Don’t be shy with ." Valerie assured, looking at Hannah who was sitting next to her.
"I... I want to resign," whispered Hannah, imdiately looking away from Valerie.
Valerie was imdiately stunned, shocked, as if she didn’t expect Hannah to want to resign when she was married to Damian lived in a luxurious mansion, and could give her a higher salary.
"Why?" She asked deeply, then held Hannah’s right arm and looked at her seriously. ."Why suddenly... What is your reason? Why do you want to leave when everything is better now?" She wondered again with teary eyes.
"I want to resign and want to return to Arizona," answered Hannah with a sad look. "I’m sorry if this surprised you."
"Yeah... This surprised ..." Valerie sighed. "Before, you insisted on staying with
because you said your family wasn’t good to you... And now you want to leave. This is strange..."
"Nothing strange .....I just realized that no matter what happens, family is still family, I have to return to them."
"But why now?" Valerie asked irritably. "Why did you leave when I was happy with Damian...This feels unfair to you because all this ti you have always accompanied
in difficult tis... Then now you want to leave when I am happy. This is so unfair... I also want to share happiness with you!"
Hannah was silent and lowered her head.
"Even when you joined us on our honeymoon, you looked cheerful. You looked happy, especially since you also seed close to Hans. This is very strange... Why do you want to leave you?" Valerie asked again, holding Hannah’s arms. "If there’s any problem, let
know... Please..."
Hannah was silent, imagined by Hans, who was indeed close to her, but her pregnancy and Samuel’s shadow were like a curse that she couldn’t get rid of.
"Hannah, I know you’re in trouble!" Valerie looked at Hannah suspiciously.
Hannah removed Valerie’s hand from her arm gently and shook her head.
"There’s no trouble... I want to go back to my family," said Hannah with a pleading look. "Please, understand..."
Valerie was silent with a disappointed look.
"I’m very tired... It’s not because you give
too much work... But I just want to find a new atmosphere. Maybe I will marry the man my parents chose or maybe I will look for another job...I don’t know what will happen next, but what is certain is that I want to take a break and get closer to my family." Hannah made another lie, but Valeri’s gaze made her feel embarrassed and worried. "I don’t an to disappoint you... I like it here but... ."
"You have the right to stop or continue," said Valeri before Hannah finished speaking.
Hannah was stunned, suddenly feeling guilty.
Valerie wiped away the tears that were just falling, unable to hide her sadness over Hannah’s decision.
"I didn’t an to make you sad," said Hannah sadly.
Valerie smiled faintly, saw Hannah, and imdiately hugged her. "I just can’t believe we have to separate, We’ve been together for a long ti."
Hannah was silent in tears, even more sad because she didn’t want to go either. But the circumstances that made her have to go were embarrassing.
Valerie let go of her hug and then smiled.
"Okay, I’ll let you go. I’ll book a plane ticket for you," she said.
"No!" Hannah imdiately shook her head.
Valerie frowned.
"You don’t need to do that. I’ll order it myself because before I go, I want to et my friend," explained Hannah worriedly.
"Okay, but I will..." Valerie took her cell phone from her dress pocket and then opened the bank application. "I’ll send you money. I hope it’s enough... But I’ll ask Damian to send so more."
"Valerie, you don’t need to do that..." Hannah prevented Valerie by lowering her cell phone.
"No, it’s Okay... I’ll send it anyway!" Valerie imdiately tapped her cellphone screen, entered the nominal amount of $200K, and then sent it to Hannah’s account which had been saved in her previous sending history. "$200K..." she smiled as she showed Hannah the delivery.
Hannah imdiately gaped.
"Oh my god, that’s too much!"
"It’s okay...my husband has a lot of money, I will ask him to send it to your account later," said Valerie with a smile.
Hannah sighed, unable to say anything other than hugging Valerie.
’If I could choose, of course, I would prefer to be here with you and Hans... That would make
much happier than all this money,’ she thought sadly.
...
After playing for a long ti, Daniel was tired and finally fell asleep. Damian imdiately took him out of there to the upstairs room, but his steps were stopped when the housemaid nad Katy approached him with an invitation.
"What?"
"That’s a wedding invitation from Tristan and Karina," explained Katy, who looked formal wearing a dark blue suit.
Damian frowned, then took the invitation upstairs. There he saw Valerie straightening Daniel’s clothes into the cupboard, then putting Daniel to sleep on a large bed equipped with a fairly high guardrail.
"Honey, we got an invitation," he said as he sat next to Daniel, then leaning on the pillow.
Valerie imdiately stood up and entered the bed then sat next to Daniel who saw the invitation showing a pre-wedding portrait of Tristan and Karina, looking very intimate with an outdoor the in a park wearing a red dress while Tristan wore a white shirt and black trousers, their position is facing each other, smiling as if they are in love. "I didn’t expect they would invite ," said Damian with a faint smile.
"What’s wrong with that?" asked Valerie with a frown. "I think it’s natural that they invited us because previously you also thought of Karina as a good girl..you guys are close like friends and Tristan is also our friend..."
"But before that, Karina was still very obsessed with being with
even though she knew it was impossible," He said worriedly. ."And previously Tristan also said that he didn’t want to invite us because he was worried that our arrival would only make Karina sad. After all, she saw us together... Karina would feel jealous again... Maybe we would just ruin the atmosphere," he continued.
"But the proof is that they invited us?" Valerie shrugged her shoulders.
"I’ll call Tristan."
Demian put the invitation on the bed and Valerie imdiately took it, while he turned to take his cell phone from his gray trouser pocket and called Tristan.
Hannah had finished tidying Daniel’s clothes into the cupboard, then saw Damian and Valerie with Daniel on the bed.
’I’d better get ready to go now....I can’t stay here for long, I don’t want them to interrogate , especially Demian,’ she thought anxiously, rembering that Damian had known about her relationship with Samuel.
"Hello, Tristan."
Finally, it was Damian who connected with Tristan.
"Hey, bro...Sorry I’m late answering, I’m very busy with wedding preparations," said Tristan over the phone, his voice sounding nervous.
"Good, finally you will marry her..." Demian glanced back at the invitation that Valerie was looking at. ."But are you sure inviting us won’t ruin the atmosphere of the party? Or did you not know we were invited?" He wondered in astonishnt.
"The one who intended to invite you and Valerie was Karina," explained Tristan, making Damian imdiately frown. "She said she wanted peace and that she expected to be with you... She said that letting you go doesn’t an forgetting you... And she learned to accept that I would be her husband and you are Valerie’s husband... He didn’t want to avoid you... I don’t know, I don’t know what made her think that but she wanted you to co to our wedding."
Damian sighed, still unsure whether to co to the wedding or not, suddenly rembering how Karina was so cunning and once pretended to be sick and said he had raped her, then asked Tristan to approach Valerie, it made it so difficult for him to believe her.
