"AHHHHHHHH!!!"

A collective gasp of terror ripped through Christopher and his beasts as the horrifying mories flooded their minds, and they all collapsed onto the cave floor, limbs trembling.

The woman, her black eyes holding a depth of ancient knowledge, watched the sweat-drenched Christopher with a faint, knowing smile. She gracefully squatted down before him, her flowing black dress pooling around her.

"Now, tell , who is your strongest Adversary?" she asked, her voice soft yet commanding.

Christopher, still reeling from the vision, looked up at her, his hazel eyes wide with lingering fear. "What... what manner of beasts were those?"

"So cute..." she murmured, a hint of amusent in her tone.

She stood up and glided back towards the shimring fountain.

"In your current understanding, what stages of beasts exist above the Divine stage? And what is the highest level of combat strength you know? Also... what is the pinnacle of strength a Tar can achieve?"

Slowly, Christopher pushed himself to his feet, his gaze fixed intently on her enigmatic black eyes.

"A beast can break through its initial boundaries and ascend into the Sky realm, while a Tar can surpass the Supre level and beco a Transcendent. As for combat strength, the highest I know is Level 15."

"So cute..." she repeated, a touch of pity in her voice. "Do you begin to understand why you t such a brutal end in that future?"

Christopher frowned, a knot of confusion tightening in his chest. "Am I missing sothing fundantal?" he asked.

She reached the fountain and sat gracefully on its edge, her gaze returning to the ethereal tears within. "Let pose another question... What do you believe those creatures to be? Are they truly beasts, or sothing far more monstrous? And do you honestly believe such entities could ever be tad?"

"They weren’t Beasts," Christopher stated, his voice firm. "They must have been monsters. And judging by their sheer power, I can’t imagine anyone possessing the ability to ta such things."

"Correct," she affird, her gaze still fixed on the water. "And what do you surmise their power levels to be? And their corresponding combat strength?"

"They must have been at least Sky stage," Christopher speculated. "As for their combat strength... I honestly have no idea."

"Oh... you are so wonderfully clueless," she said, turning to him with a gentle smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.

"According to what the world currently believes, the Supre level represents the zenith of a Tar’s power... but I will unveil a truth to you. Beyond the Supre level lie even greater heights, known as Transcendent, Ascendant, Grand Ascendant, and finally, Immortality. While other levels often have four stages – Low, Mid, High, and Peak – these four higher tiers possess only three: Lower, Mid, and Upper... These are the true levels a Tar can aspire to." A faint smile touched her lips.

"Four more levels above Supre? I had no idea there was more than just one," Christopher muttered, astonishnt lacing his voice.

"That limited understanding contributed to your demise..." she said softly, her gaze drifting back to the water. "Regarding Beasts, there are also far more potent beings beyond the Divine stage: Sky stage, Half-Celestial stage, Celestial stage, and the ultimate, Immortal stage."

"Four more stages for beasts too?! Why am I only just now hearing about the other three?!" Christopher exclaid, his frustration mounting.

"Those formidable beasts were largely eradicated during an ancient war. The three you witnessed in that future were virtually unstoppable, so we were forced to seal them away... Their master was simply too powerful."

"Master?!" Christopher’s eyes widened in shock.

"Indeed... He was even more ruthless than those three combined. But we ultimately vanquished him by shattering his very soul. Even if soone were to sohow summon him or absorb his soul fragnts, they would never gain control over those three Beasts, and their powers would be significantly diminished."

"What do you an by ’we’?" Christopher asked, taking a hesitant step forward.

"I, along with the other chosen ones... We five fought that desperate battle. We sealed those monstrous entities with our very lives, but it seems the Beasts are growing stronger with the passage of ti, and their eventual release is inevitable." She turned her gaze back to Christopher. "You wish to know the highest possible combat strength and the power of those terrifying beasts?"

Christopher nodded silently, his mind reeling from the revelations.

The woman smiled enigmatically. "Very well... The highest attainable combat level is Level 20..." She turned back to the fountain. "Do you wish to know their current power levels, or their terrifying strength in that future you glimpsed?"

"Their current power levels would be aningless, as they will undoubtedly grow stronger. I need to know their capabilities in that future," Christopher insisted.

"Immortal stage," she stated, her voice grave. "With combat strengths of Level 19 and Level 20... Two of them possessed Level 19, while the four-eyed monstrosity reached Level 20."

Christopher froze, his body instantly turning ice-cold.

"Just one of them is powerful enough to obliterate your entire city, let alone all three... They may be sealed off in different locations and severed from their master, but those three share a primal connection and will instinctively work together," she added, her words painting a grim picture.

Christopher stared blankly at her, her terrifying words echoing in his mind. After a long, silent mont, he finally looked up. "Why are you telling all of this? Why are you helping ?"

"You know all of this because you are my chosen... You are destined to be the next chosen one."

"You?" Christopher and his beasts exclaid in unison, their eyes wide with utter surprise and disbelief.

"You... you are the Water God?!"

"Actually," she corrected with a gentle smile, turning fully to face Christopher, "I am the Water Goddess."

"You... you... but I thought you were a man?!" Christopher stamred, completely taken aback.

"Did you arrive at that conclusion yourself, or was it suggested to you?"

"The one who trained said so," Christopher revealed.

"Ah... that old man. He was but a youth during the war. He must be quite ancient now... and perhaps his understanding is a bit outdated," she said with a soft chuckle. "Now, why don’t you bring forth my fragnt and absorb it?" she added, gesturing towards his ring.

"Are you... another fragnt?" Christopher asked hesitantly.
