"Ethan! The words were full of horror." Penny watched with disbelief as Ethan shook hands with Nora. he smiled at her and they whispered to each other.
Ethan! Was he not obsessed over her? Did he not take her first to help her in killing Nora?!! What was he doing with Nora then?
As if feeling her gaze, Ethan turned to look at her. Their eyes t and Ethan laughed as if he was looking at a clown. His eyes filled with disgust and he turned away.
Penny felt as if she had been slapped hard on the face. It was Nora!? She knew from the start about the poison. Ethan was working for her. The mont the truth drowned on Penny, Penny lost her composure.
She ran to attack Nora again. But this ti, she was not only pulled back but slapped hard.
"I do not want to deal with this crazy girl anymore. Put her in the van." the man groaned and two officers pulled Penny in the van.
Penny struggled hard but the door was closed and she was taken away. Her eyes filled with hatred. This is not over yet! I will return for revenge.
Nora watched as the van left. The crowd had left a long ti ago.
The defense lawyer, Ethan, Nora and Alric were the only ones left.
"Maam!"
"Thank you, Ethan. You have done a good job. Here, this is for you." She took out a check and passed it to Ethan. And then followed the sa with the defense lawyer.
"Whatever Penny has paid you belongs to you rightfully. This small compensation is for supporting . If you ever need my help in the future, you are free to contact ." the defense lawyer smiled and left. Ethan stood there waiting.
"Except the money.."
"Yes, I have already discussed it, you can join the company anyti. This is your contract letter." She passed another paper to Ethan.
Only then did a smile return to his face. He bowed his head and left leaving Alric and Nora alone.
"I can not believe that it ended like this! What about uncle?" Alric wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer.
Though she did not say a word, he noticed how her face looked ashen.
"You are thinking about them again!" he sighed as he whispered in a low voice. Nora felt guilt rising in her chest.
"I can not control it." she turned and leaned into his arms and buried her face in his chest. His hold gave her strange protection.
"It can not be helped!" He rubbed her back with love and tenderness. "I have to replace every bad mory of your life with our good mories to get rid of them." His voice had a strange soothing effect that relieved her from the nightmares of the past.
"So... shall we start today." she nodded in his chest without moving away. Alric chuckled softly. His magnetic voice and warm touch slowly brought mories of last night. Her face got red instantly.
"For that, you have to let go of , princess." he warned in a deep intense voice, "or there is no guarantee that i could control myself." his hands paused at her hips and she knew he was serious.
Gulping, she took a step away. But when their eyes t, there was no fear in her eyes but thrill. As if she wanted to see what he could do.
"You have to wait for it for two more months. Do not worry ti will fly away and we do not need to suffer." she frowned as if there was a different aning to his words.
But he looked away and opened the car door for her.
"Why did it feel like you were leaving?" she asked with a frown as she settled inside the car. Alric laughed and then looked at her.
"Where would I go princess? My life, my future is here with you." yes! His company, his family, his business was also there. Perhaps she was being too sensitive.
"Where do you think Penny would be taken?" There were so many prisons all over the area. A few had a good report. But a few were known for their delinquent criminals. Accidents happen in those prisons every ti.
Alirc stared at her reflection in her mirror.
"She is sentenced for murder. Of course, her prison would have criminals like her."He had planned it too.
She should have known already. She still felt like it was a surreal dream. How could a man like Alric be in her life?
"Would you like to visit her soti?" he asked bringing her back from her thoughts. Nora shook her head.
"I do not want to follow my past, Alric. I know that you would take good care of her. From my life, Penny’s Chapter closes today." she inhaled a deep breath. And when she let it go, she felt much better.
A smile blooming on her lips, surprising him. He found her hand and held it tightly while driving from the other hand.
"I regret not bringing Joe today. If he would have been driving..." Alric chuckled with regret. Nora felt shivers in her spine. A strange heat enveloped her and entered the pit of her stomach.
"You! You are incorrigible." although she complained, her face blood into a beautiful smile. His heart raced just by looking at her face. How he wanted to pull her into his embrace and devour her.
Control Alric! There are things you need to do!’ he took in a deep breath.
They stopped in front of a takeaway restaurant and brought two milkshakes. Then he drove her to his office, surprising her. Most Of the ti they live in the hospital.
Though Nora knew that he had another house, she had never been there. She stared at the large building in confusion.
"Alric!?" she noticed confusion on his face.
"It will only take ten minutes." he promised, making her even more confused.
