"You want to accept that I was dating Jamie?" Penny had a look of disbelief on her face. "Even if I agree to that, anyone could say otherwise. Whole school knows that Lucy was dating that retard. Ewww! I can’t even imagine him as my boyfriend." looking at the look of disgust on her face, David laughed viciously.
"Oh really! Yet you can have sex with him in school." her face paled instantly with a look of disbelief.
Was it really her loving and doting father who had never raised his voice in front of her?
"Enough!" He cut her in before she could even complain. "You are going to accept that you were lovers. But he was forcing you to do things you do not like so you broke up with him. This is an old video. That bastard had shot it and he published it to take revenge on you." Penny sniffled. Her eyes were red and bloodshot instantly.
"But why do I need to do that? Shift the bla on soone else. Tell them it was not . I... aaahhh!" Penny covered her face instantly when a strong slap landed there. Tears slipped from her eyes instantly. "You... you slapped ?" it must be a nightmare! Her father would never be so vicious to her.
"Do you think it is that simple? The world is a fool or you hold power there like you hold it in school. Either do it as I say or I will send you to the coldest country where you would be confined in your room for your life." he threw the confession written by his PR team. Penny flinched when it fell near her feet.
David did not care for her tantrums anymore. He left the room as soon as he was done. Penny gritted her teeth and picked up the script.
"Nora! It is all because of you."

"You were too harsh to her." Sophia spat with a face full of grievance only to get a glare from David.
"You have handled this matter the way you wanted! Now let handle it. I have a lot of things in my mind already. If you do not need anything, leave." he pulled the chair with much force before sitting on it and staring at his laptop.
He had so much! Yet he did not know where to start. Sophia sighed and walked closer to him. She stood behind him and massaged his shoulders.
"Why did you agree to Chris Benard? You have given him all the shares. Did you not say you have saved so for Penny’s dowry. Now that the properties and shares are gone, what will we do?" her voice was full of choking emotions. David closed his eyes and pinched the space between his brows.
His own rage rising in his chest.
"You have left with no choice! You are your daughter! Now he is blackmailing us to sue Penny. How could you be dumb enough to sign the contract without showing it to the lawyer or ?" He threw the pen on the table hard. It bounced and then fell on the other side of the ground.
Sophia flinched and took a step back, biting her lips, she endured the humiliation but David was not done yet.
"I do not have millions to pay him. He had asked for the shares and in exchange, he would give shares of his new company. It is an IT company with a better future. Sophia, we still have shares in the school and joint venture with "Illumination". As long as the rumors die, I will start another company in your na. Could you handle the ss till then." Sophia sighed. She knew David was doing his best. She nodded and only then did his face relax a bit.
For so reason, Sophia was in a good mood. Even though they were losing so much and Penny was suffering, David’s behavior had softened today. In their long marriage, he had never requested anything from her. Either ordered or ignored her action and decision.
"Maybe! He is finally seeing as his wife." she murmured softly before helping Penny in preparing the script. Penny’s face was covered with tear stains.
"Mom! Even if I confess, Lucy would speak against , then I will only end up making a fool of myself." she cried in the arms of her mother. Sophia’s heart hurt looking at her daughter’s miserable state.
"Honey, I will handle lucy. And you do not need to et Jamie ever. You only need to give a confession and then we will prove that you are a victim here. You have to trust us on this." she stroked Penny’s hair and rubbed her back.
Penny cried for a long ti. Only then did she nodded and practiced the lines. A reporter visited their house. David was already gone but SOphia welcod the man in their house.
"You already know what you can ask and what you can not ask, right?" Sophia stared at the man with a cold gaze. But the man only smiled and nodded.
He set up caras in their hall. Penny sat on the sofa with red eyes and gaunt face. She looked ashen and sick.
"Miss Stone, can you explain the video going viral on the internet? Who is that man to you?" Penny shuddered at the question and more tears started to fall instantly.
"He.. Jamie.." her hands curled on the cushion. "He is my boyfriend. We were dating but he cheated on with Lucy. he used to force by blackmailing that it was common and if I would not pleasure him, he would leave . I was a fool in love. I never thought that he was making the video and leaking it online.
He had blackmailed my family and taken our shares in the school and an exorbitant amount from my family. I never knew... loving soone could be this painful. Jamie! Had ruined my life."
