"Young master! Your phone has been found." Langdon walked inside the office without knocking. Victor was sitting in his office chair with two files in his hands.
He raised his exhausted face and took the phone from her.
"I never knew filing takes half of my ti." Langdon laughed as she walked beside him and leaned.
Victor paused. He shrunk his body so that her chest did not touch his shoulders, yet an uneasy feeling lingered.
"You are doing it perfectly, I am sure sir will give you a better position soon." she took a step back with a disappointed look in her eyes. Yet, the expressions turned into a bright smile when their eyes t. "Ah! By the way, soone called you and I do not know. Did you quarrel with your girlfriend?" Victor stiffened instantly. His face fell.
"Did she call?" Langon felt like a needle pierced her when she noticed his excited look as he checked the phone instantly.
"She did! But you have blocked her. She seems to be angry. She left when I asked her if she wanted to et you." she whispered softly as he frowned and checked his phone. Indeed her number was blocked.
"But.. where did you find my phone?" a look of confusion and suspicion filled him but she was already prepared for it.
"Ah! Young master, I did not know. An intern brought it. I apologize, I should have been more attentive even if she accused of my character and spoke ill about you. I.. I will call her and apologize to her too." Victor frowned when she bit her lips and walked out of the office.
He had never seen Langdon as a woman before but these days he found that she was much more sensitive than he had expected. Her emotions affect her easily.
"Langdon, wait! I was not accusing you and you do not need to apologize to Nora. she must be angry because she had co this far to et but she could not. Forget it, will you help with this work? I will go and explain to her that it was just a misunderstanding." viciousness flashed in her eyes with deep hatred.
"Of course, young master. I will make sure that all the work is completed. Go on and have fun." Victor smiled instantly. The smile she had pined for a long ti belonged to soone else.
How could she let that happen! How could she let him go? She had called his father’s number when he had asked her to cover him up. She stared at the still continuing number on her screen with a dark glint in her eyes.
"Aah, sir! The number was dialled accidentally. I am sorry." she faked a gasp and hurriedly apologized with a cold grin on her face.
"It is alright." The call was cut imdiately. Langdon walked back to the seat where Victor was sitting. She sat at his seat and inhaled his breath.
His warmth still lingering on the seat. She checked the file in front of her, holding the pen Victor was using earlier.
In two minutes, the door was opened again. Landon frowned as she found Victor standing there.
"What happened? Did you forget sothing?" looking at his dimd eyes, she could barely hide her smile.
"No, i am not leaving, i have a lot of work to finish." he stood behind her, waiting for her to leave already when Landon sighed.
"Did sir scold you? Oh, young master! How about we work on this file together and finish the work early so that you could leave without worry." Victor took a deep breath and hid his disappointnt.
"Hmm, that would be a good idea."

Nora smiled as she started the car. She had waited for half an hour for Victor to co. But he did not! It only ant that Langdon had stopped him successfully. But there was no remorse on her face.
She stared at her phone instead. Her uncle was following her to keep an eye on her actions. He had specifically asked her to go and et Alric. If she did not.. But what if she did and he refused!
Sighing, she went to the main branch of the Ava group of hospitals where Alric spent most of his ti.
She parked the car and dialled his number. But no one picked it up. She called again twice but the call was still not connected. Sighing, she went to et Max but there was a long line of patients waiting for him.
"Looks like it is not a good day to et others. He would be the third one who did not have ti for her." she sat in the waiting area with a sigh.
"Excuse , is Max busy?" Nora frowned and raised her head to see a young woman. She was wearing a pink knee length floral dress and had a sweet smile on her face. The nurse looked at her with worry.
"Aah, yes. Doc had a lot of etings today. But I am sure that he would be happy to see you. Would you wait for a while? I will order your favorite strawberry cake and cappuccino."
"No, no. I know you are busy too. I will just wait there until he is free. Hope he will rember before my shift." the nurse sighed as the girl walked away.
Nora watched as the girl walked and sat in an empty chair. Nora stood up and walked to the girl.
"Excuse , miss. Is the seat taken?" the girl shook her head without raising it. She was smiling as she watched reels in her mobile. Nora sat beside her. The girl finally turned to look at Nora when she felt her gaze at him unmoving.
"Yes! Do you need sothing?"
"Are you dating doctor Sullivan?" The girl was taken aback and stared at Nora for three long seconds.
"You are.."
"Oh, I am just a patient but I like Doctor Sullivan too. So, I want to know if he is already taken!?"
