"Ah... Sister Ning, we won!" Bai Xiaotang joyfully hugged Ji Ning’s neck and scread.

Lin Yuanyang turned back, pushed his glasses, and reminded Ji Ning, "Sister Ning, there are many from the Eastern Camp, be careful of other tool cards they might have..."

Before his voice faded, Ji Ning in the back seat suddenly raised her head, leapt up, and lunged toward Lin Yuanyang between the seats.

Then ca a loud "bang," and the glass instantly shattered.

A tal bullet headed straight towards Ji Ning’s eyes, stopping just half a milliter away. After Ji Ning pressed her body down due to inertia, it grazed her shoulder and shot towards the back seat, piercing through it to leave a hole as wide as a finger.

Only then did the Bai Family driver react, shouting loudly, "Get down, enemy attack—"

The Bai Family driver, very experienced, lowered his voice, controlled the steering wheel, swerved the car, and sohow pulled out a hot weapon, opened the door, and fired outside.

Bai Xiaotang was completely dumbfounded until Ji Ning turned back and shouted, "Crouch down, close your eyes!"

Bai Xiaotang reflexively crouched down and shut her eyes tightly.

Slowly realizing the fear.

The one attacking them was an inconspicuous black car. Seeing that their first shot missed, they quickly drove away without lingering on the battlefield.

They chose a stretch of road in the outskirts, away from the city, conveniently without caras, and quite deserted, with open barren land on both sides.

"Catch up!" Ji Ning sat up straight, her gaze sharply fixed on the car escaping ahead.

The Bai Family driver was reluctant, believing it was best to return to the city quickly to ensure Bai Xiaotang and Lin Yuanyang’s safety.

Suddenly, the Bai Family driver felt a pain in his neck and imdiately lost consciousness.

"Lin Yuanyang, go to the back."

Lin Yuanyang forced himself to stay calm, quickly unbuckled his seatbelt, and opened the car door.

Ji Ning forcibly dragged the driver to the passenger seat and took the driver’s seat herself.

Once Lin Yuanyang was back in the car, she stepped on the gas pedal and chased after the black sedan that was already far ahead.

This road was eerily empty, as if soone had arranged it on purpose. All the way, there were no other cars besides the black sedan ahead, and not even cars coming from the opposite side.

Ji Ning slightly pressed her lips together, her fingers gripping the steering wheel with increasing force, pressing her nails until they turned white.

Sitting in the back seat, Lin Yuanyang suddenly felt the sound in his ears disappear, as if he had entered a vacuum world, shutting off his hearing.

He looked forward and suddenly sensed a flow of energy around Ji Ning, an incredibly wondrous feeling.

Could he actually sense a superpower user’s energy?

Lin Yuanyang was secretly astonished.

Ji Ning’s speed was so fast that the car felt like it was floating, the scenery on both sides quickly receding.

Bai Xiaotang was too scared to open her eyes.

At such a speed, they finally caught up with the sedan escaping in front.

The assassin in the car ahead was a bit surprised that a Bai Family driver dared to catch up, gripping his weapon and becoming alert.

"Open the sunroof."

The assassin glanced back at the car and smirked silently.

You’re courting death!

The assassin put on a mask, climbed halfway out of the sunroof, and set up a sniper rifle to aim backward.

"Sister Ning, watch out!"

Lin Yuanyang was shocked.

But Ji Ning remained calm, securely driving the car, making a swift turn, causing the bullet to hit the car’s edge.

The assassin slightly frowned, wondering when the Bai Family driver had improved their driving skills so much?

He pulled the trigger again, but still, the bullet grazed the car’s edge.

How did he manage this at such a close range?

The assassin’s face showed a terrifying look of displeasure, repeatedly pulling the trigger, but the bullets still missed.

Avoiding once or twice could be skill, but avoiding so many tis was unusual.

The assassin looked through the scope at the driver; to his shock, the driver smiled at him, suddenly revealing a black gun barrel pointing towards him.

Damn it—

The assassin quickly ducked down.

Only to hear a "bang—" sound.

The car swerved.

The bullet actually hit the rear tire of the black sedan.

The driver struggled to control the veering car, shouting, "Hurry up, the car tire burst!"

Following that, the sound of shattering glass resonated.

The black sedan’s mirror was also shattered.

Seeing the Bai Family car through the cracked mirror, the driver gritted his teeth, pulled out a gun from his waist, and leaned out the window, attempting to provide cover for the assassin.

Unexpectedly, just as his hand extended, it was hit—not by a bullet but by a golden hairpin shining with gold.

"Ah—"

The driver imdiately withdrew his hand, trembling with pain all over.

Blood dripped down along the golden hairpin.

If Ye Tong saw this, he’d probably be heartbroken to the extre.

This was all 8 million...

The rear tire of the black sedan was already blown, and now with the driver’s hand injured, the car drove like a dragon across the road, soon crashing into the central barrier and nearly flipping over.

"Screech—bang—bang—"

Ji Ning also ca to a sudden stop, halting the speeding car, gripping the steering wheel, watching the black sedan that had co to a stop ahead.

The driver inside suffered a severe head injury, reclined unconscious in the driver’s seat.

The assassin in the back seat was also significantly injured, one arm appearing dislocated.

But he could still move, even enduring the pain, fiercely kicking the deford car door.

Ji Ning calmly opened the car door, said faintly, "Don’t co out."

She got out of the car, slowly walking forward.

With one hand in her pocket, she inexplicably exuded a sense of oppression.

The assassin finally kicked open the car door, and was about to exit, only to see a person not far away walking over, a faint sense of fear surging in his heart.

This person wasn’t a Bai Family driver.

Who was he?

"Was it you who tried to kill Lin Yuanyang?" Ji Ning stopped five steps away from the assassin, asking calmly.

Her face bore no expression, her eyes as calm as an ancient pool, without a ripple.

The assassin clenched his molars tightly, feeling as if his wound was being cruelly pressed, causing intolerable pain.

He could no longer hold back a cry, "Ah—"

Ji Ning watched him writhing in pain on the ground, let him suffer for a full ten minutes before retracting so of her spiritual power.

The assassin lay on the ground, covered in sweat, breathing heavily. He had never been in such a sorry state in his career.

Now he knew he had provoked soone he shouldn’t have.

This person was definitely a High-level Superpower User!

Since when did the Bai Family recruit such a formidable person?

"Speak up! Who sent you?"

The assassin remained silent, resisting with silence.

His wound flared with pain again, this ti even more intense, a flesh-tearing bone-peeling agony.

"Ah—ah—"

The shrill screams scared Bai Xiaotang into clutching Lin Yuanyang’s arm tightly. She didn’t dare open her eyes, fearing to witness a bloody and violent scene.

Lin Yuanyang was in pain from her grip, vigorously pushing her, "Let go, idiot!"

Bai Xiaotang shook her head stubbornly, burying her face even tighter.

Lin Yuanyang, extrely frustrated, yelled, "Bai Yusen is here!"

Brother is here?

Bai Xiaotang paused, looking outside, but she didn’t see Bai Yusen; instead, she saw a familiar back view standing in front of the car, and nearby on the ground, a man was rolling and screaming.

What’s going on? Did they crash?

Bai Xiaotang swallowed and said sothing that made Lin Yuanyang almost want to give her a knock on the head.

"Do we need to call ergency services?"
