Luo Xiao was being shown around the Gu family compound by the excited younger generation. All of them wished to get familiar with him, and they asked many questions throughout the journey. Gu Tianhu, who was aware of his true origin, was standing by the side and looking at how Luo Xiao was able to influence others without even telling the slightest lie. All he had to do was to smile and keep quiet, and everyone had already begun to create their own thoughts and beliefs.
Although the Gu family was not usually a family that would sche and fight for power, Gu Tianhu was aware that he needed to be alert at all tis, and that the family's future depended on him.
It was also due to this that he had long since beco familiar with the scheming and backstabbing in the upper-class society, but even so, he had never thought that such outstanding results could be gained with the simplest ans.

While the Gu family was made up of those of the sa bloodline, it was, in many ways, quite similar to how Luo Xiao had felt back at the Cloudsoar Academy.
Although everyone was from the sa family, there were many branches, and only the direct line could be considered the core of the family. The many branches would ally with one another and could even sche against each other, if it could increase the amount of resources they would gain.
Fortunately, the Gu family was not one of the families that struggled with in-fighting, but many of the more popular families within the continent had to always be alert against their family and enemies alike.
At the sa ti, although so of the students from these families would enter the Cloudsoar Academy, most of them would study at ho, and thus the Gu family had various facilities at their residence to increase their cultivation. While it was not able to rival the Cloudsoar Academy, it was not to be looked down upon at all.
During the tour around the family grounds, Luo Xiao was shown where the various facilities were located. He found a Spirit Gathering Tower, a Gravitation Pagoda, a Scripture Pavilion, and even an Illusion Training Array.
These were already the most important facilities needed when cultivating, and although the cost to operate them was high, the family mbers still had a set quota for their personal use every month.

Each Siheyuan had three main houses, which were the main building, where the family leader would live, and then an east and west wing, which would usually be occupied by their children and their families.
Unlike the Siheyuans outside of the Gu family, these did not have both a main wall and a shadow wall, but only one wall surrounding their hos, but they still had the side rooms on both sides of the main room for the servants. A few of the more prominent Siheyuans would have a north hall at the back of the building, but that was quite rare.
Even so, when Luo Xiao finally had the ti to take a look at the courtyard he had been given, he could not help but feel quite astounded.
The courtyard itself had the east and west wing as any other, and the main room and side rooms were also as one would expect, but unlike the others, that did not have a main wall and then a shadow wall within, this one had the double-wall all around the entire courtyard, and the distance between the two walls had been partitioned into various gardens.. The beauty and prosperity that Luo Xiao was t with made it clear that this place was definitely better than any of the other courtyards they had co across so far.
