Chapter 20: Flag (1)

Whoooosh!

Dust rose like clouds from the unpaved trail.

The sudden clash drew the attention of the examinees waiting at the finish line.

“Impressive courage! To dare target , Muk Sogyeong!”

Flutter!

Holding seven pass tokens, Muk Sogyeong lowered his stance and tracked Cheon Bigang’s movents.

A chill at the back of his neck.

Sensing the approach from behind, Muk Sogyeong hid the tokens in his right hand and swung his left.

Boom!

The punch, infused with internal energy, sent dust flying again.

For soone barely past twenty, the output of his internal energy was ferocious.

But his strike hit nothing.

‘What? I definitely made contact…’

Confused, Muk Sogyeong withdrew his hand.

10 seconds remaining.

Through the slowly settling dust—

A hand shot out.

Muk Sogyeong’s eyes glead.

‘I’ve been waiting!’

He opened his left hand and smoothly seized Cheon Bigang’s wrist.

Tap.

Twisting and pulling—

Cheon Bigang was dragged out from the dust.

A triumphant smile.

‘Got him!’

Once the wrist was caught, escape was impossible.

Muk Sogyeong gathered internal energy to dislocate Cheon Bigang’s arm—

But at that mont—

Cheon Bigang kicked backward.

Bang!

Muk Sogyeong’s right hand was struck, and the tokens flew into the air.

Muk Sogyeong looked up in alarm.

‘Damn it!’

As his attention shifted—

Cheon Bigang rotated his captured wrist and reversed the hold.

‘He aid for this!’

Muk Sogyeong imdiately struck with his right hand—

But Cheon Bigang yanked his arm.

“Ugh!”

Boom!

The punch missed.

Only then did Muk Sogyeong realize—

‘I underestimated him.’

His eyes sharpened.

His aura turned deadly.

Cheon Bigang released him—

And kicked his torso.

A simple, brute-force strike.

Thud!

Muk Sogyeong slid back out of the dust.

Cheon Bigang did not pursue.

Instead—

He reached upward.

The falling tokens dropped—

Tap.

One landed perfectly in his hand.

1 second remaining.

Piiii—

The whistle blew.

“Ti’s up! First test complete! Tokens will be checked!”

The dust cleared.

Cheon Bigang stood—

Holding the token.

“Thanks for the gift.”

Muk Sogyeong withdrew his killing intent.

“Your na?”

“Cheon Bigang.”

“…I’ll rember it.”

Gurgle.

A black liquid—like ink—rotated around Muk Sogyeong.

The sa weapon used to kill examiners.

He drew a tal flask.

The liquid returned inside.

A token hung at its tip.

“Rember this—”

“The exam isn’t over.”

“Then avoid .”

“We’ll see.”

His female guards shouted—

“Apologize!”

“Don’t run!”

---

In the end—

Cheon Bigang’s team passed.

All mbers finished within 30 minutes with a token.

But not everyone was pleased.

“Is that fair?!”

“Tokens must be taken from examiners!”

“Isn’t that cheating?!”

Three n argued with staff.

They bore red monkey tattoos.

“The Red Monkey Sect,” Gu Pyo explained.

“A gang under the Twin Dragons Society.”

Cheon Bigang nodded.

“So they’re trash.”

anwhile—

More complaints.

“What about those helt guys?!”

“And that guy in enhanced gear?!”

“Is this fair?!”

The staff ignored them.

“Proceeding to second test!”

They moved.

Cheon Bigang spoke.

“No need to think. Follow .”

“What?”

He moved.

He had realized—

‘Only results matter.’

‘Yang Woomin just wants chaos.’

So—

No need to follow rules.

He reached the rock.

“Enemy incoming!”

“Shields!”

They ford formation.

Cheon Bigang charged.

Bang! Bang! Bang!
