Chapter 879: Chapter 47: Deploynt

On the distant outskirts of the Imperial City, there stood a remote, desolate mountain range.

True Master Jun Shan, controlling his sword, landed on a barren mountain. Before heading east, he had once received a Ruyi Order from Chen Jingxuan. Half an hour ago, he used this order to contact the “Snow Master” of Fangyuan Square, arranging to et here.

Not far from the mountain top, a Red Pavilion stood shrouded in wind and snow.

“Great Master.”

With her hands tucked into her sleeves, the Snow Master spoke respectfully: “You have arrived.”

“I have urgent matters.”

Jun Shan looked around briefly and imdiately asked in a deep voice, “Where is Chen Jingxuan?”

Just earlier, he had left the South Border, controlling his sword all the way, not having the ti to land.

The affairs happening in the Imperial City were intense and tumultuous.

Unfortunately, he had not yet heard of them.

“It’s a long story.”

The Snow Master sighed softly, taking a Jade Scroll out from her sleeve.

Before today’s upheaval, Chen Jingxuan had vaguely sensed unease.

He had left instructions with the Snow Master in advance.

This Jade Scroll recorded the drastic changes that had taken place in the Imperial City over the past dozen hours——

True Master Jun Shan frowned as he took the Jade Scroll.

After a Divine Thought swept over it.

His expression turned very unsightly.

“The upheaval in Qingyang City… Chen Jingxuan resigned from the position of State Preceptor…”

His voice was bitter, filled with disbelief.

The reason Jun Shan left the Taoist without delay and rushed to the Imperial City was because, within the “Future Dao Realm,” he saw the impending disasters of the future; he also saw hope amidst these calamities. There were a few threads of incredibly bright radiance, especially precious amidst the disaster. He was very certain that the hope revealed by the Future Dao Realm was Chen Jingxuan.

He never thought.

That despite his swiftest speed, had this hope already vanished?

Chen Jingxuan’s departure didn’t seem to be the worst news yet.

This Jade Scroll contained a piece of information that was quite obscure.

State Preceptor Yan Xin was not in Li Pavilion.

Before forcing Chen Jingxuan away, the Ren Shou Palace deliberately invited Yan Xin into the Imperial Palace, and the Book Tower Investigator even spotted the figure of Qin Ancestor.

Due to the recent closure and blockade by Ren Shou Palace for forging a massive formation, the Hidden Guard couldn’t get any closer.

Currently, no one knows what the inside of the Imperial Palace looks like.

But if it’s said that this dark undercurrent of the Imperial City was a conspiracy prepared by the Ren Shou Palace long ago…

Compared to Chen Jingxuan.

The safety of Yan Xin and Qin Ancestor is more worriso.

“By the way… is your little emperor doing well?”

Jun Shan snapped back to reality.

“His Majesty remains well in the separate residence.”

The Snow Master said solemnly and slowly: “The Emperor has the Imperial Blood of Great Chu coursing through her veins. She can feel the tremors within the grand formation of the Imperial Palace… The Moon Hidden Realm is likely engaged in a battle, an unprecedented battle.”

The disguise of Chu Yin can’t fool the Holy Empress.

But what of it?

Her presence is not important to the Holy Empress.

She is, after all, too young; though she bears Imperial Blood and sits on the “Emperor” throne… she lacks the ability to oppose the decisions of the Holy Empress.

As long as she quietly remains a puppet, not actively causing trouble, no matter how fierce the upheaval in the Imperial City, it won’t endanger her life.

“Leaving this Jade Scroll was the gentleman’s intention.”

The Snow Master paused before speaking: “Regarding most of today’s events… he had already anticipated.”

“Really?”

Jun Shan gently sighed.

This might be the only good news.

If Chen Jingxuan had foreseen things, then he wouldn’t have left the Imperial City without any backup plan.

“I just left the South Border, and things are dire there…”

Jun Shan rubbed his brow, wanting to explain, but realizing that the events occurring in the South Border were indeed not sothing that could be explained in a word or two.

The Imperial City is chaotic.

But the South Border is even more so.

This ti, Great Chu’s southward movent was betrayed by the Three Great Sects joining forces.

One major purpose of his coming to the Imperial City was to seek aid since Chen Jingxuan was now driven out of the Imperial City by Yan Xie and Yuan Jimo…

Am I supposed to seek help from Yan Xie?

“Great Master need not explain.”

The Snow Master said: “The gentleman told

that he used the Roundness Instrunt to divine the trigram of the South Border in advance…”

“How was it?”

Jun Shan’s eyes lit up.

“Though it signifies great misfortune, it harbors vast fortuitous serendipity.”

The Snow Master said: “Surely a lot of people died in the South Border, right?”

“…Yes.”

Jun Shan’s expression dimd.

“Your visit to the Imperial City is to seek reinforcents.”

The Snow Master lowered her eyelids: “If the Great Chu Imperial City were to fully aid, it might salvage the decline of the South Border… reversing the situation.”

This indeed was what Jun Shan had in mind.

But after rushing to the Imperial City and reading this Jade Scroll, his thoughts wavered slightly.

He personally captured the aura of the Yin Yang Mirror’s doppelganger of “Yan Xie” in the South Border.

This clue… interconnected the Taoist, Paperman Sect, and finally pointed to Ren Shou Palace.

If Chong Kan, Lu Yuzhen, and the Holy Empress are all standing in the sa camp, then is there still any need for

to return to the Imperial City to call for reinforcents?

It’s utterly aningless.

“Great Master, abandon that thought.”

The Snow Master was silent for a mont and said word by word: “The matter of the South Border is concluded. The outco of this battle is no longer sothing you or I can decide… The purpose of this eting today is for the Snow Master to advise the Great Master to seize the ti and focus on more important matters.”

“More important matters?”

Jun Shan took a deep breath, his gaze sowhat puzzled.

“Dragon Vein.”

The Snow Master, as Chen Jingxuan’s right hand in charge of Fangyuan Square, was specially dispatched to protect the little emperor Chu Yin.

She held a rank equal to the Fire Master, aware of almost all of Chen Jingxuan’s plans, most of the arrangents, and most of the secrets.

At this mont, the Snow Master uttered two words.

She waved her sleeve, using the wind and snow to paint. Imdiately, a grand geographic map of Da Chu’s lands spread across the sky above the barren mountain.

“Beneath the Great Chu Imperial City we stand on now, four Dragon Veins crisscross each other——”

“The Beihai Dragon Vein, Military Luck Dragon Vein, Taoist Dragon Vein, and Da Sui Dragon Vein.”
