The most incredulous person was Brooke Sinclairs.

She was stunned by that slap from Sabrina Hayes.

In front of so many people, Sabrina actually dared to strike her!

Sabrina actually dared!!!

Brooke was so enraged that her eyes turned bloodshot, and she was about to retaliate when she was intimidated by Sabrina’s gaze.

"Brooke, my master has the right to decide whether or not to treat a patient.

He doesn’t have to treat whoever cos to him just because they ask!

He’s getting old, with limited energy. Jordan’s leg, damaged nerves from the accident, needs long-term care before it can recover.

Do you want my master to spend years caring for him too? How can you be so shaless?

Let tell you, stop trying to morally blackmail and insult him here. If you dare say one more disrespectful word, I will tear your mouth apart!"

"Sabrina!"

Brooke gritted her teeth, seething with rage.

The guests at the scene began to step forward, criticizing Brooke.

"It’s ridiculous, can’t get soone to help and still dare to curse, is this how you seek dical treatnt?"

"Exactly, don’t you understand how to respect the elderly?"

"Does this Brooke have any decency? How dare she call Elder Shepherd ’an old, unworthy fool.’ Elder Shepherd is a treasure in the dical field!"

"It’s laughable, she hardly knew Elder Shepherd yet pretended to be so familiar, even slandering his apprentice right in front of him."

"Shaless, wrecking soone else’s marriage and having the nerve to talk negatively about them in front of their ntor..."

"President Hayes did well with that slap; if it were , I would’ve wrecked her face long ago!"

"President Hawthorne must be blind, taking a woman like this, mistaking fish eyes for pearls, while abandoning the loyal Miss Hayes."

"Miss Hayes just ntioned that President Hawthorne’s leg nerves are necrotic? That indeed requires long-term care. She took care of him for years, yet in his eyes, it ant nothing."

"Miss Hayes truly wasted her efforts for soone like this over the years!"

"A perfect match in shalessness, no wonder they’re a pair..."

"Luckily, President Hayes saw him for what he is and divorced him early on."

At the venue, all kinds of harsh words reached Jordan Hawthorne and Brooke’s ears.

Jordan’s face turned dark.

At this point, he realized there was no chance of securing dical treatnt tonight.

But his emotions were in turmoil, and his thoughts scattered.

The words from the old man and Sabrina were like nails driven deeply into his heart.

So, it was because he himself didn’t cherish it, leading to this outco?

Sabrina didn’t neglect treating him all those years; it was his belief in Brooke’s words.

He misunderstood her.

At that mont, Jordan’s mind flashed back to scenes from before the divorce, every ti Sabrina treated him.

Acupuncture three tis a week, and he’d co ho from work every night to find her preparing dicinal als for him.

Those were her acts of kindness, care for him, emotions he cast aside like old shoes.

And how did he respond?

Always with a cold face, sotis even with impatience.

When in a bad mood, he wouldn’t even drink the dicinal als she prepared.

But should all of this be blad solely on him?

Jordan couldn’t hold it in, and through clenched teeth, he asked Sabrina, "Why didn’t you ever tell Elder Shepherd was your master?!"

Upon hearing his questioning, Sabrina’s expression was full of mockery, "I wanted to say it, but was there ever a chance?

Jordan, from the start, you presud my ordinary background, thinking I married you with ulterior motives.

In over four years of marriage, you gave nothing but endless emotional abuse, felt it was too much to even look at , let alone care who I apprenticed under.

Jordan, I’ve been more than considerate with you, as a doctor, I’ve never been negligent in treating your leg.

Now that we’re divorced, I advise you to be a kinder person, stop slandering others. I may not mind, but my master and the reputation of The Chiron Sect are not for you to tarnish!

If this happens again, it won’t just be a slap!"

Her gaze shifted from Jordan to Brooke, with undisguised contempt and disdain in her eyes.

To her, Brooke seed like an ant on the ground, looked down upon, causing Brooke to nearly explode from anger.

Especially when she saw Jordan staring intently at Sabrina, a fiery rage burned within her chest, growing ever more intense!

She didn’t understand why things turned out this way.

This sort of acclaim should have been hers.

Yet, the more she tried to prove herself, the more things went awry?

Especially tonight, the shift in Sabrina’s identity was particularly unacceptable.

Sabrina’s parents were just two impoverished teachers. In Brooke’s eyes, hitching a ride on Josee Sheffield’s coattails to achieve sothing in the industry was nothing remarkable.

While she was unlucky, the Sinclair Family dragged her down.

But as long as she works hard, once she secured her position as Young Madam at Hawthorne, all problems could be solved.

But why... just when everything seed hopeful, did Sabrina suddenly turn into the heir of The Chiron Sect and renowned apprentice of the divine physician???

Her status had leapt upward by several ranks.

Even the Hawthorne Group could be looked down upon...

This developnt wasn’t supposed to happen!

Sabrina, she’s clearly soone I’ve defeated!

She can’t possibly be better and more dazzling than I am!

Perhaps tonight’s events hit Brooke too hard, and then she thought about her situation in the Hawthorne Family.

After tonight, Jordan Hawthorne’s parents will surely be very displeased with her, and she won’t be able to stand her ground in Veridia’s high society as she did before...

Brooke almost lost her sanity.

All of this is Sabrina’s fault, that bitch!

It’s all her fault!!!

Why doesn’t she... just die!!!

Brooke, in a fit of rage, suddenly went mad and violently pushed Sabrina.

"Watch out!"

No one expected Brooke to dare make a move.

Even Sabrina didn’t expect her to do it, and was caught off guard by Brooke’s push.

She staggered back several steps from the force.

And not far behind Sabrina was a champagne tower.

Sabrina’s collision made the tower wobble and finally crash to the ground...

The glass cups shattered everywhere, and everyone at the scene gasped in shock.

The onlookers quickly backed away, afraid of getting involved.

But Sabrina couldn’t evade it.

Most terrifying was that if she couldn’t control herself and stand firm, she would fall directly onto the shattered glass.

"Sabrina!"

Josee Sheffield’s expression changed, and he shouted, instinctively rushing forward.

"Sabrina!"

The elder also changed expression, suddenly standing up to step forward.

"It’s over, this is really over now..."

"Miss Hayes is really having a rough ti."

The guests were equally shocked, so even closed their eyes, afraid to see blood splattered on the scene.

Sabrina felt a chill run through her heart.

Because for tonight’s party, she was wearing high heels when she left ho, unable to find a foothold, and nearly twisted her ankle.

Just as she was about to fall into the glass shards, in the nick of ti, a large hand suddenly appeared, firmly catching her waist.

The next second, Sabrina’s world spun, and when her vision returned, she found herself being lifted and swiftly carried back several steps.

The remaining glasses of the champagne tower fell at that mont.

The ’crash’ sounds ceased.

The entire banquet went silent...

Even Sabrina was still shaken.

It took a few seconds before she realized she was saved.

Instinctively, she looked up to see who had rescued her, and it was a very familiar face.

A flawless jawline with no blemishes, eyes hidden behind gold-rimd glasses, filled with concern and lingering tension.

Mr. Fitzgerald???

Sabrina widened her eyes in surprise, wondering how he could be here?

By now, everyone else had also co to their senses.

Josee Sheffield quickly stepped forward, his eyes filled with concern as he focused on Sabrina, asking, "Are you okay?"

The elder followed close behind, hurrying over with a worried expression, "Are you hurt?"

Hearing the voices around her, Sabrina finally shifted her gaze, hurriedly shaking her head, saying, "I... I think I’m fine."

Fortunately, Mr. Fitzgerald appeared just in ti before she fell.

With that thought, Sabrina looked at Jasper Fitzgerald with concern, nervously asking, "Mr. Fitzgerald, are you hurt?"

She suddenly rembered that she was still being held by him, so she quickly said, "Put down, I’ll check for you..."

Jasper looked at her, his eyes softening.

He gently reassured her, "Don’t worry, the ground is covered in broken glass, let take you to the side first."

Then, he carried her away from the ss.

Once they were in a safe spot, he set her down, ntioning to those nearby, "Everyone else should stay away, it’s dangerous. Nash, get soone to clean this up."

"Got it."

Nash imdiately complied and turned to arrange it.

Sabrina didn’t have ti to think about much else, quickly looking him over once she was steady on her feet.

Jasper was wearing a tailored suit tonight, but the pants, originally unwrinkled, had a few cuts from the glass, stained with champagne, disguising any sign of injury.

Were it not for the current situation, Sabrina would’ve already inspected his pant leg.

eting her concerned eyes, Jasper softly said, "Don’t worry, I’m not hurt."

"Are you really okay?"

Sabrina was still uneasy.

This person always appeared when she needed him most.

But she knew that he wasn’t a deity, just a mortal, and could indeed be injured...
