Two hours later, the plane landed in Aethel.
Before arriving, Josee Sheffield had already booked a hotel. After leaving the airport, the two of them went to check in first.
The eting with the two directors was scheduled for the evening.
Sabrina Hayes was feeling a bit unwell, so she decided to stay in the hotel to rest during the day to ensure she was in good condition for the evening.
After settling her in, Josee Sheffield went to The Sheffield Group’s branch office.
When he returned in the afternoon, he imdiately went to see Sabrina Hayes, "How are you feeling? Any better?"
Sabrina nodded, "Feeling a bit better, a nap helped to restore so energy."
Though she said this, in reality, there had been no improvent.
On the contrary, it seed to have gotten worse.
Probably because there had been too much going on lately, with all the busyness, coupled with the previous tornt from marriage issues, her body was finally protesting.
However, she didn’t tell Josee, fearing it would hold things up.
Believing her words, Josee said, "Then get ready, let’s head out soon; I’ve already booked a restaurant."
"Okay."
Sabrina agreed and quickly changed her outfit, and put on a simple makeup to look better.
Once ready, she and Josee set off.
That night, they t the two directors from the pharmaceutical bureau as scheduled in a quaint restaurant.
The other party was quite polite and straightforward, and before long during the al, they started discussing the specifics of the special dicine.
"The top-tier special dicine required by the governnt isn’t in small quantities. Special forces personnel often go out on missions, returning wounded each ti; ordinary dicine cannot quickly ease their pain. We’ve learned that Dr. Nash is highly skilled and excels in developnt technology, so we wanted to ask if these types of dicine can be developed?"
As he spoke, Director Warren handed over a list, clearly prepared beforehand.
Sabrina quickly took it to have a look.
The specified dicines included antidotes, redies for internal organ damage, and various anti-inflammatory special dicines.
Sabrina understood it easily enough.
Those special forces personnel often operated in very harsh conditions, where sotis wounds couldn’t be treated tily.
Over ti, missing the optimal treatnt window could either be fatal or cause irreversible damage, leaving potential health issues.
As a result, there were naturally countless old ailnts over the long term.
After reading the list, Sabrina put it away.
The two directors quickly asked, "How about it?"
Sabrina nodded and said, "There’s no problem with the latter two, but regarding the antidote... it might be challenging, given the countless types of poisons in the world. It’s impossible to predict which ones the special forces might encounter.
Each type requires a specific redy, for example, drug poisoning versus bites from certain insects or snakes... So, we’d need to categorize them further to know where to start."
The deputy director imdiately said, "We could start with those insects and snakes in the tropical rainforest! Currently, from feedback, most missions involve exposure to this type of poison.
Of course, regarding poisons, we’ve gathered a lot of related information, and we can organize it and send it to you.
Dr. Nash can deliberate on where to begin... even developing one type would not be impossible."
Upon hearing this, Sabrina naturally had no objections, "If there is information, that would be much easier. However, developing special dicine takes ti; I wonder if the governnt will allow for that?"
"Of course, we understand the difficulty of developnt, so we won’t push too hard, but we will check in on the progress periodically."
Director Warren continued, with a smile, "Originally, this project wasn’t ant to be developed by just one entity, but Elder Quinn specifically ntioned the wonders of Dr. Nash’s special dicine. Rather than letting others experint, it’s better to give you more ti to develop the best product.
Moreover, the military in Veridia vouched for you, trusting your capabilities, so we simply made the decision."
Josee Sheffield was a bit delighted when he heard this.
Coming here, he thought that securing the developnt of one or two kinds had already achieved the goal.
But unexpectedly, the gains were greater than anticipated.
Sabrina was also pleasantly surprised.
"Thank you both for your trust. We will put our best effort into the special dicine to make you all satisfied."
Director Warren smiled but didn’t ntion that besides the endorsent from Veridia, even the higher-ups in Aethel had instructed to definitely assign the project to her.
Before them was not just any woman, but one with remarkable ability and perhaps a strong background.
This is why the two had been so courteous from the start.
The dinner ended with pleasant conversations for both sides.
Afterward, Josee once again invited both directors to relax elsewhere.
The two directors did not decline, showing intent to establish good relations.
As for Sabrina, after the talk, she felt her head spinning.
Being a woman, it wasn’t suitable for her to go out with several n, so she left the hosting duty to Josee.
Josee instructed the driver to take her back to the hotel.
Sabrina thought about it and refused, "I’ll catch a cab back myself later. I want to take a walk and digest a bit."
Josee was a bit worried, "Are you sure?"
Sabrina laughed, "Why wouldn’t I be? I’m not a child, I won’t get lost, will I? You go ahead and see to the two directors."
Seeing her natural deanor, Josee was a bit relieved and then said, "Alright, but don’t stay out too long. Call if anything cos up."
Sabrina nodded and waved him off.
With no choice, Josee soon took the two directors and left.
After they left, Sabrina exhaled a breath.
Aethel was colder than Veridia, and the wind was bone-chillingly cold. After rubbing her hands, she took out her phone to ssage Jasper Fitzgerald.
"Are you busy, Mr. Fitzgerald?"
Jasper replied quickly with a photo.
It was of a banquet hall, filled with elegantly dressed people in high-end outfits.
Was this... a banquet?
Sabrina was a bit surprised, intending to ask if it was convenient to et, but then reconsidered, realizing he was definitely busy. Perhaps she should just go over by herself.
Fortunately, the setting in the photo didn’t look ordinary, so she might be able to find out where it was.
Sabrina quickly began her search.
Sure enough, the image linked to the hotel na—The Imperial Majestic Hotel.
Sabrina chuckled lightly, imdiately hailing a cab, then asked Jasper, "Attending a banquet? When does it end?"
Jasper replied, "Not sure, is there sothing you need?"
"No worries, you go ahead, we’ll talk later."
After sending that ssage, the cab arrived, and Sabrina quickly got in, heading to the hotel.
Upon arrival, she realized the high standards of the hotel.
Inside was a traditional courtyard-style building, and it was booked for the night, requiring an invitation to enter the banquet hall.
Sabrina quickly said, "No problem, I’ll just wait in the lobby until the banquet ends."
She hadn’t intended to intrude anyway.
