Jenna Clark was more direct than Elly Campbell, who even though she suspected Sophia Green, wasn’t as straightforward as her mother.
Sophia Green’s complexion imdiately darkened.
She had thought Elly’s biological mother to be an utterly worthless and ignorant woman; despite having Master Clark as a father, he too was incompetent.
Who could have expected that she would dazzle everyone upon her arrival, her gaze filled with an intimidating and commanding presence.
She had thought that slut Elly was already terrible enough, only to encounter soone even more formidable.
Actually, this was the first ti Elly had seen her mother display such an imposing and forceful deanour. Usually, she was gentle and seed easy to talk to.
She hadn’t expected her to be so domineering.
Sophia Green looked at Jenna Clark, hearing her straightforward mocking. Sophia’s face, initially smug, suddenly turned ugly and distorted.
“Mrs. Clark, it’s your daughter who inexplicably smashed my belongings. It’s okay if you don’t acknowledge it, but how can you pin this bla on ?”
She dared not confront Jenna Clark too directly; she had already lost a round earlier. Now, only by portraying a weak and aggrieved appearance could she gain sympathy from others and make them forget the previous incident.
Especially Jenna Clark’s aggressive approach was bound to be off-putting to people.
Jenna Clark’s appearance was leaning towards gentle and beautiful, making her seem easy to talk to and easily bullied.
So, even though Jenna Clark accused Sophia Green so sharply, it didn’t make people feel like Jenna was bullying her as Sophia might have hoped.
Jenna Clark had long seen through people like Sophia Green; Sophie Baker’s skills were no less than hers.
Seeing her like this, Jenna Clark couldn’t even muster the interest to look at her longer and turned to look at Elly Campbell, saying,
“Elly, do you rember where you lost your necklace?”
She asked the question the Old Lady had asked earlier.
Elly repeated the answer once more, and the Greens and lody Baker simultaneously let out a derisive snicker.
Jenna Clark didn’t even look at them and directly said, “It’s simple, get soone to pull up all the surveillance footage of the routes Elly took. It will be clear who picked up the necklace.”
Then, she looked at Arthur Clark and said, “Go and retrieve the surveillance footage.”
“Surveillance?”
The elder Clarks were stunned, not having caught on yet. Just as they were wondering when the surveillance was installed, Jenna Clark spoke up ahead of them:
“Mom, Dad, you forgot. When William lived with us, you were worried the servants might be negligent and William might accidentally hurt himself, so you specifically had soone install surveillance caras in every corridor, and it was brother who personally arranged for it.”
While saying this, Jenna Clark looked towards George Clark, Arthur’s father and Elly’s uncle.
George Clark was initially bewildered but quickly caught on. He composed himself and said:
“Right, how could I have forgotten that.”
George Clark looked at the elder Clarks and said, “I didn’t install caras near the display shelf as William seldom went there, but I did have surveillance installed in the areas William frequently visited. Although it can’t capture the shelf area, it definitely can show who picked up Elly’s necklace, which naturally will prove Elly’s innocence.”
