The cause was a fierce argunt between the Old Lady and Adam Jones. She believed he had been neglecting her, and in his anger, convinced that she had complained about him to the Old Lady, Adam Jones’s outburst triggered her illness.
It was during her first visit back to the country when the Old Lady told her this, taking the opportunity to scold Adam fiercely as well.

“Gloria said Grandma is sick, do you know?”
“Yeah, Gloria called . I’m going to go back in a bit.”
Exhaustion tinged Adam Jones’s voice.
“Where are you now?”
“Just left the Jones Corporation, why?”
“Co to Brayman to pick up.”
“Okay.”
Adam Jones didn’t ask why, and not long after hanging up the phone, his car had already arrived downstairs at Brayman.
From a distance, he could see Elly Campbell waiting outside the company building.
Adam Jones hurriedly got out of the car and walked towards her, “Have you been waiting long?”
“No, just a minute or two.”
Adam Jones nodded, his mood turned somber as he thought about the Old Lady’s condition, and he pursed his lips, saying:
“I’m going back to Boston to check on Grandma. Once her health improves, I’ll co back.”
“Pick up the son from the kindergarten.”
“Hmm?”
Adam Jones was montarily stunned but then understood Elly’s intention.
He looked at her, sowhat astonished, his surprise earning a disapproving glance from Elly.
“What are you thinking? Grandma is sick, how could I not go back to see her?”
She bypassed him and walked towards the Rolls-Royce parked by the roadside.
Adam Jones snapped back to reality and quickly followed her, snatching her hand and whispering in her ear, “Thank you, wife.”
Elly Campbell gave him a sidelong glance and ignored him.
After picking up William Campbell from the kindergarten, Adam Jones’s private jet was already waiting on the tarmac.
Unlike a comrcial plane, this private jet of Adam Jones was more like a luxurious suite.
With a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and bedroom all available, and additionally, a separate screening room, it didn’t feel boring even thousands of miles up in the air.
It was also William’s first ti on such a plane, filled with wonder in his eyes.
At the tail of the plane, there was a separate toy room, appearing to be a room recently added, obviously prepared by Jones big boss as a present for his son.
Once on the plane, Adam Jones sent his son off to the toy room and went to join his wife.
Elly Campbell was flipping through a magazine in the living room. Adam Jones approached her and asked, “What are you reading so intently?”
