But since Emma Williams doesn’t admit to it, she won’t forcefully link her to the class monitor and thus said nothing further.
Emma Williams felt a bit guilty under Hannah Taylor’s teasing gaze, so she had to lower her head, holding her drink, trying to hide the awkwardness on her face.

Hannah Taylor smiled warmly, but the few girls who were close with Emma Williams yet inherently rejected Hannah, found themselves unhappy seeing this scene.

This group of girls was evidently growing a bit dissatisfied with Emma.
To put it bluntly, even the group being friendly with Emma didn’t an they held her in high regard.

As the saying goes, you don’t hit soone who’s smiling. Even if Hannah was irritated with Emma, the latter was smiling and wasn’t doing anything outrageous beyond being showy.
Even if Hannah considered herself careless, she wouldn’t behave unreasonably.
