If you don’t have the fingerprint of the floor owner, you can’t press the elevator button to reach that floor.
In other words, to access this floor, you have to be one of the owners on this level.
Laura Jones thought about it and realized her concern was quite unnecessary.
If her husband was ever in danger, then the source of that danger would likely be her.
Just the thought of it made Laura feel like she was not a decent person.
"Co in and have a seat, I just brewed a pot of coffee. You’re my neighbor now, we should look out for each other."
William Wilson’s voice echoed again.
Laura felt that continuing to refuse would seem impolite and overly dramatic, so she nodded and agreed.
She picked up the slippers from the shoe cabinet by her feet and put them on.
They were pink won’s slippers, aligning perfectly with her aesthetic. More importantly, the shoe size was just right for her.
Laura was curious as to why William Wilson had won’s slippers in his ho, but she didn’t question it further, as it was his personal matter.
She walked over and sat on the sofa, the rich aroma of coffee wafting from the kitchen, evoking her longing.
William brought out two cups of coffee, placed them in front of her, and seeing her slightly awkward deanor, he smiled and said:
"I was classmates with your brother, you can consider as an older brother or just a neighbor, no need to be so reserved."
He pointed at his own head:
"Without the halo of a movie star, I’m just an ordinary person."
Upon hearing this, Laura agreed ntally, feeling her rigid posture begin to loosen.
She lifted the cup of coffee in front of her and took a sip, savoring its rich, llow flavor. As it slid down her throat, it left a lingering taste.
"Mr. Wilson, I didn’t expect your coffee to taste so good."
Laura praised sincerely.
"You like it?"
William looked at her sideways, his eyes carrying a gentle smile.
Laura nodded earnestly, "The taste of this coffee is better than that made by professionals."
Receiving such praise from the young lady filled William’s heart with joy, spreading across his face and eyes.
"If you ever want so coffee, feel free to co over here."
Laura’s eyes lit up slightly, though her expression remained sowhat reserved.
"How can I impose? You’re so busy."
William discreetly admired the gleam in Laura’s eyes, unable to suppress the curve at the corner of his lips.
"I brew a pot every day anyway. I can’t finish it alone, and it’s a waste to throw it away. You can help drink it, so it doesn’t go to waste."
He leaned closer to her, his eyes sparkling with a smile:
"Isn’t thrift a traditional virtue?"
Laura felt William’s words made perfect sense, and without much thought, agreed.
However, the thought of casually drinking soone else’s coffee made her feel a bit uneasy, which showed subtly on her face.
William seed to notice this and smoothly suggested:
"If you feel bad about it, if you cook or make sothing to drink at ho, you can invite over to try it."
William’s suggestion left Laura thinking it was down-to-earth, finding no trace of an arrogant attitude from a celebrity towards a fan.
"Sure, Mr. Wilson, as long as you’re not too picky."
"No, I’m not picky."
William’s face remained full of smiles.
