She stuffed the phone into her bag, then actively took Evelyn Taylor’s arm and said:
“Mom, let’s go to that baby store in front and take a look.”
A faint, unnoticeable smirk crossed Evelyn Taylor’s eyes as she nodded and humd in agreent.
Downstairs, behind a tall pillar, Carter Quincy watched the harmonious scene upstairs with sinister eyes, the features on her face twisted with anger once again.
“Ha, still playing the dutiful mother and filial child ga? I wonder how long your happy days will last.”
She took out her phone and sent Olivia Smith a text—

Although Olivia Smith was still shopping, her mind kept fixating on that call.

The content made Olivia Smith’s face change dramatically. When Thomas Smith approached, she quickly put her phone away and placed it into her bag.
“What’s wrong? Why do you look so upset?”

“I’ll go with you,” Thomas Smith said, imdiately worried upon hearing about her stomach discomfort.
Olivia Smith shook her head, refusing. “I’m fine, might have eaten sothing bad this morning. It’s nothing serious. If anything happens, I’ll call you.”
Thomas Smith scrutinized her worriedly for a few seconds before finally nodding in agreent. “Alright, be careful then.”
“Okay.”
With that, she grabbed her bag and briskly walked out of the clothing store, not noticing the intriguing look from Evelyn Taylor.
Olivia Smith quickened her pace towards the ladies’ restroom in the mall, and after confirming no one was inside, she imdiately called Carter Quincy.
On the other end, Carter Quincy quickly picked up the phone. “You little brat, enjoying yourself, huh?”
Olivia Smith didn’t want to waste words with Carter Quincy on these matters, saying impatiently:
“How many tis have I told you, don’t contact casually? Are you afraid the Smith Family isn’t watching closely enough?”
Olivia Smith spoke through gritted teeth, shuddering at the thought of Helen lendy bringing up the Taylor Family’s issue that morning.
“I suspect the Smith Family already knows about your existence. If you don’t want to die, stay quiet and don’t cause trouble.”
On the other end, Carter Quincy initially approached Olivia Smith with a reckless abandon, but in the end, still harbored so misgivings.

“Your father and brother got arrested by the police. Give so money, and I’ll find a way to use my connections to get them out.”
Olivia Smith’s face fell for a mont as she listened to her shaless and expectant tone for money.
