"Olivia..."
Olivia Smith opened her mouth, but didn’t know what to say to make up for her unforgivable, inhuman actions.
"I’m sorry, Olivia, it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have done such a thing."
He raised his hand and slapped himself hard across the face.
He didn’t bother to defend himself; he rembered last night’s events quite clearly.
At that ti, he kissed her, and that scene was vivid in his mory. What followed, naturally, just happened.
The more he thought about it, the more inhuman he felt, and he kept slapping his face with no intention of stopping.
But Olivia quickly went up and grabbed his hand, stopping him, "Don’t do this, it’s not just your fault. I was drunk too last night, I..."
She pressed her lips tightly and her eyes reddened again, as if she was making a firm decision, and said:
"Second Brother, don’t worry, I won’t bla you. Don’t let this weigh on your mind, just pretend... just pretend nothing ever happened."
"How can that be? I... I ruined your innocence."
Thomas Smith looked at the crimson stain on the bed, the remorse and guilt in his eyes intensified.
Though modern society isn’t as harsh on won, it was still Olivia’s first ti.
Olivia seed to have her sore spot touched, and she cried even harder.
Thomas was at a loss as she cried, and could only hold her, comforting and apologizing at the sa ti.
It took half an hour to calm Olivia down.
Thomas looked down at her, hesitated for a long ti, and said:
"Olivia, will you despise ? I an if... if you don’t mind, can we... can we be together?"
Olivia looked up at him in disbelief, "Second Brother, what are you saying, we... we are siblings..."
"We’re not siblings."
This ti, Thomas interrupted Olivia very decisively, "Olivia, when you were in your teens, I already knew you weren’t my biological sister. Back then, I thought it wouldn’t make a difference if you continued being my sister. After all, I knew my real sister was gone, why make our parents sad?"
"But as I watched you grow up, becoming so graceful and adorable, I couldn’t tell when my feelings changed..."
"In the eyes of others, having thoughts for my own ’sister’ is a perversion, but deep down, I knew you’re not my sister..."
He rarely said so many words at once, but now they all burst out, yet he didn’t dare to et Olivia’s eyes, fearing to see disgust or ridicule in them.
Olivia was silent for a long ti, and he expected a scolding or even a beating from her, but none ca.
He only heard her call out softly, "Second Brother."
She reached out to hug his waist, her voice hoarse from crying, "I don’t bla you, really, don’t force yourself to accept just to take responsibility. It’s not fair to you either."
Thomas hadn’t expected Olivia, even at this mont, to be thinking about fairness or unfairness to him.
Though this incident wasn’t done with his subjective intent, it was indeed his doing, he had ruined sothing precious for her.
If it was unfair to him, then how was it fair to her, who had lost her first ti because of him?
Every ti Thomas thought of this, his heartache and guilt towards Olivia deepened.
