"One million!"
Helen lendy casually ntioned a number.
One million wasn’t much for Thomas Smith.
Without a second thought, he wanted to pull out his card, but then he rembered that the card was in Olivia’s hands, which was now seized by the police as evidence.
Thomas’s expression didn’t look good, especially when seeing Helen’s half-smiling face, making him feel even more humiliated and indignant.
Helen lendy was clearly mocking him.
But the money was sothing he promised himself. Now was he going to say he didn’t have the money?
If he said it like that, who knows how sarcastic this Helen lendy would be?
But indeed, he couldn’t bring out the money right now.
Thomas furrowed his brows in frustration, looking at Helen, his face reddened, and with a cold voice, he said:
"I didn’t bring the card with . I’ll give it to you after I bail her out."
"Then sorry, co find when you have the card."
Helen lendy looked like she didn’t want to deal with him at all, without any room for negotiation, which made Thomas even angrier.
While he worried about Olivia’s situation in the police station, he also had to endure Helen’s cold reception. The fire in his heart was almost burning his organs to ashes.
"Helen lendy, don’t go too far."
"Too far?"
Helen raised her brows at Thomas, "I’m working for my compensation, you call that too far?"
Her gaze at Thomas carried a bit of mockery, "Are you hoping for to be charitable and help you for free, Second Young Master Smith?"
"Pardon my asking, who are you? I’m asking for my friend who cuts keys, do you do that?"
Thomas’s face turned from red to an ashen grey, then to pale.
"Helen lendy, don’t bully people too much."
He pointed at Helen’s nose, speaking through gritted teeth.
"If you can’t take my bullying, then get out."
Helen turned back to her seat, gestured towards the door, and said:
"If you don’t want to continue being a bully, leave now, don’t force to trouble our downstairs security."
Thomas’s face turned several shades darker.
He stared at Helen with clenched teeth for a while, before reluctantly leaving Helen’s office.
After Thomas left, Helen pondered for a while before taking out her phone, pressed down a phone number, and dialed out—
"Hello, Mom..."

After leaving Helen lendy’s law firm, Thomas Smith was still in a state of disarray.
Helen lendy and Harry Hall weren’t helping bail out Olivia, and as for finding another lawyer...
Even if he could find one now, he didn’t have the money to pay.
If even Helen lendy, his so-called sister, wouldn’t cut him any slack, let alone a lawyer he didn’t even know.
Thomas stood silently downstairs at the law firm for a long ti before finally deciding to go see Edward Smith at the Smith Family Building.
"CEO, there’s soone downstairs saying he’s your brother and has sothing important to see you, you see..."
The secretary cautiously pushed the door to the CEO’s Office open, looking at the man behind the desk with a stern expression.
Edward Smith lifted his head from the desk, his handso eyebrows furrowing slightly, and said:
"Will you report to whenever soone says they’re my brother?"
Edward’s tone was slightly heavy, but his face carried a looming pressure that frightened the secretary significantly.
"I’m... I’m sorry, CEO, he’s making quite a scene downstairs, the receptionist sent a photo up, and I saw the photo, he kind of resembles you, so..."
