“That’s not the worst of it. No matter how bad the reputation of the Smith Family gets, those who want to curry favor will still do so. They will bla Olivia Smith’s expulsion on Helen, thinking that it was all Helen’s idea, which makes us disregard thirty years of friendship, do you understand?”
Charles Smith hadn’t considered this aspect before, but now he suddenly realized the key point after his wife’s reminder.

Charles Smith imdiately understood the aning behind Evelyn Taylor’s words, his straight brows suddenly furrowing tightly.
“Are you saying…”
Evelyn Taylor raised her eyes to look at him, “Do you really believe that it’s just a coincidence that she fell in love with Harry Hall at first sight and then had Nightingale spy on Helen?”
With that, she let out a cold laugh, “I don’t believe such coincidences exist in this world. I suspect she already knew she wasn’t the Smith Family’s biological child, and that’s why she had Nightingale watch Helen, wanting to know her every move. Once she appeared within our sight, she would find a way to prevent it.”
As she reached this point, Evelyn Taylor’s eyes beca even more ruthless, “She just didn’t expect Helen to beco a vegetative state, assuming she wouldn’t wake up and pose any threat, which is why she withdrew Nightingale.”
Evelyn Taylor was not a naive daughter-in-law of a wealthy family, nor did she truly believe Olivia Smith’s words just because of a few sentences.
She even thought through many possibilities, which could be verified one by one to prove whether her suspicions were true or false.
Upon hearing this, Charles Smith, thoughtful, sat down beside her, lowered his eyes, pondered for a while, and said:
“If she knew all along that Helen is the daughter of the Smith Family, then how did she co to know? Or did she inadvertently notice that Helen bears a striking resemblance to you, which raised her suspicions?”
This ti, Evelyn Taylor didn’t speak imdiately but remained silent for a long ti before saying:
“That’s one possibility, but there’s another possibility too.”
Evelyn Taylor’s expression grew more serious, and the coldness in her eyes intensified.
“Her biological parents are not dead, and they contacted her.”
