Chapter 1872: Chapter 1872: Sumr Hall Side Story (74)

Thomas Smith initially intended to play the family card with him, but was harshly rebuffed, which only heightened his anger.

“I know you haven’t spent much ti with Olivia, but I’m about her age and have a deeper bond with her. Even if you don’t have feelings for Olivia, can’t you at least consider , her second brother who grew up with her?”

He looked at Edward Smith with expectant eyes, saying:

“Besides, switching babies was the parents’ mistake. Can you really bla Olivia for that? Back then, she was just a baby. What did she know? You feel sorry that your biological sister left her real family. But wasn’t Olivia also taken away from her real parents and family?”

Edward Smith was practically fuming from Thomas’s twisted logic, wanting to punch him again.

“Thomas, I never knew you were so good with words.”

He grabbed Thomas’s collar and pulled him closer—

“Do you know what kind of life Helen lendy had? She grew up in an orphanage with no parents.”

“Do you know what kind of looks a child without parents endures at school?”

“Do you know how she felt when Harry Hall’s mother humiliated her?”

“Olivia took over the life that was originally hers. She was ant to be a princess, but a turtledove took all her resources. How can you not feel sorry for your own sister and instead defend a turtledove raised as a princess?”

Seeing Edward get angrier as he spoke, Thomas feared provoking him further and quickly said:

“No, big brother, that’s not what I ant. I’m just trying to say, Olivia didn’t want this either. She took the resources of our sister, but she did it passively.”

The fierceness on Edward’s face did ease a bit, so Thomas seized the opportunity and said:

“Big brother, if Helen lendy really is our sister, of course, we should bring her back. But Olivia has been with us for almost thirty years. To us, she is also like a sister. Can’t we just consider having an extra sister?”

He looked at Edward with hopeful eyes and continued to press on:

“Two sisters can keep each other company. I believe Helen lendy would be willing to accept that as well.”

Thomas thought, even if they acknowledged Helen lendy, she is already married to Harry Hall and spends most of her ti in Greece, with little ti to stay with the Smith Family.

As long as Olivia remains, their lives would still be the sa as before.

Seeing Edward remain silent, Thomas couldn’t tell what he was thinking.

After a few seconds, Edward released his collar, and Thomas quietly breathed a sigh of relief, clutching the chest that Edward had kicked, following him without daring to sit down, he continued:

“After we bring our sister back, we can ask her opinion, okay?”

He had already changed his tone, with a hint of flattery.

“Our family is big and wealthy. Olivia’s parents are already gone, making her an orphan as well. Raising her isn’t a burden for us. Besides, she’s been raised close to Mom. Can you bear to see Mom upset?”

Edward looked coldly at Thomas, still wanting to hit him, but there was one thing Thomas had got right.

His mother appeared to be very rational and thoughtful.

He believes his mother wouldn’t alienate Helen because of Olivia, but she couldn’t possibly have no feelings at all for the child she raised by herself.
