Capítulo 1833: Chapter 1833: Sumr Hall Side Story (35)
Harry Hall was amused by her, “Aren’t you afraid she’ll spread rumors that you’re not a filial daughter-in-law?”
“Do you think if I don’t bicker with her, she won’t go around talking badly about ?”
She had no idea what kind of interactions she had before with Leanne Richards, but just in the six months since she woke up, she’d already seen through Leanne’s abrasive personality.
“Anyway, she’s bound to label as unfilial, so I might as well enjoy myself. I like waiting at ho for you to co back.”
She reached out to hug him, “Just focus on your work, don’t worry about . It’s my leg that doesn’t work well, not my brain. No need to make a fuss.”
Moving out for just two days with the servants could spread rumors that are beyond imagination.
She wasn’t bothered by what people said about her; having decided to be Harry Hall’s wife, she couldn’t escape being gossiped about behind her back.
But she didn’t want Harry always being gossiped about because of her.
Once again, Harry was amused by her, his worries slightly eased.
Since she insisted, he let her have her way.
As for the phrase “waiting at ho for you to co back,” it brought a secret smile to Harry’s face for a long ti.
Regarding Edward Smith, Harry Hall wanted to get to the bottom of things quickly to avoid prolonged uncertainty.
So, early the next morning, he set off to New Horse on a private jet.
New Horse, Smith Group.
“Boss, regarding the hospital in San Francisco, Greece, we investigated it. That hospital was originally public; it was privately acquired twenty years ago, and all maternity records from twenty years ago were destroyed.”
Edward Smith furrowed his brow slightly, “No archives?”
“No.”
The subordinate shook his head, “Twenty years ago, computers weren’t commonly used; most records were paper-based and were destroyed after a certain period.”
“So, the records of the children born in San Francisco the sa ti as the young lady are all gone?”
“Yes, there are no records. Investigating now is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.”
Edward Smith furrowed his brow and nodded.
It seed unraveling the mystery of Helen lendy was indeed challenging.
Just then, the internal line buzzed—
“Chief Smith, Mr. Hall from Greece is downstairs, saying he wants to et you.”
“Mr. Hall?”
Edward’s eyes deepened, “Harry Hall?”
“Yes.”
Harry Hall was a famous figure, naturally recognizable to people downstairs.
Why did Harry Hall arrive quietly to see him?
A hint of doubt appeared in Edward Smith’s eyes, “Understood, I’ll go down.”
After hanging up, Edward stood up from the boss chair and said to his subordinate:
“You go first, keep an eye on the young lady; report any unusual behavior to .”
“Yes.”
The subordinate went out, and Edward Smith moved next to the private elevator and went downstairs.
Harry Hall waited a mont downstairs, and Edward Smith soon ca down.
“CEO Hall.”
“Chief Smith.”
After a quick handshake, they went to the eting room.
In the eting room, Edward Smith got straight to the point:
“CEO Hall, surely you didn’t travel all the way here just to discuss collaboration with ?”
If the Hall Clan wanted to cooperate with the Smith Family, Harry Hall wouldn’t need to personally fly over.
“I’m here because of my wife’s matters. I have a few questions I wish to clarify with Chief Smith.”
Harry Hall didn’t hedge his words with Edward, addressing him directly.
