After Leanne Richards stord off, the Poker mate who originally accompanied her to help her daughter try on wedding dresses didn’t dare to provoke Harry Hall either. They were glad they hadn’t tried to climb up the Hall Family’s social ladder and hassle or ridicule Helen lendy.
Even Harry Hall could be so rciless towards his own uncle, so what would he do to people who have no connection at all with him?
At that mont, the middle-aged woman forced a smile at Harry and the others, then left with her daughter.
Elly Campbell was infuriated by Leanne Richards earlier, and if Helen hadn’t stopped her several tis, she would have gone to deal with Leanne.
Fortunately, Harry Hall ca over, and what he said and how he defended Helen lendy was all witnessed by Elly, making her more comfortable entrusting her best friend to Harry.
"Alright, since your husband is here, I’m not going to be a third wheel, I’ll leave first."
With those words, she turned to leave.
"Why are you here again?"
Helen lendy asked, smiling as she looked up at Harry Hall.
"Do you dislike that much?"
As he said this, he purposely put on an aggrieved expression which amused Helen lendy.
The store staff had never seen Harry Hall this approachable. Seeing the two of them smile and shower affection, she held back a giggle out of envy.
She wisely stepped away, giving the engaged couple so private space and didn’t disturb them.
Harry Hall walked behind her, looking at the wedding dress she wore, facing a large floor-to-ceiling mirror.
He stood behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders, his gaze falling on the mirror as he saw Helen lendy with a faint smile, leaning against him, unable to hold back tears.
After all these years, he finally waited for this day—she promised to marry him.
Helen lendy noticed him suddenly quiet down, and when she looked up, she saw that Harry Hall’s eyes had turned red, stunned and disbelief overwheld her.
She could believe Harry genuinely liked her, but she hadn’t imagined that he’d be so moved seeing her in a wedding dress that he’d beco teary-eyed.
She couldn’t help but recall when she resolutely proposed breaking their engagent and suggested a breakup. His face remained calm, yet his heart must have been deeply hurt.
At the ti, she didn’t think much of it, only from her perspective, thinking that with her legs disabled, she couldn’t burden him, and without her mories, she couldn’t force herself to stay with him.
But she didn’t consider whether a man who cared deeply and loved her without any fault, who had tirelessly cared for her when she was in a vegetative state for a year, could easily accept such a breakup.
Thinking of this, Helen lendy looked again at Harry Hall’s face, her guilt intensifying.
She reached to hold Harry’s hand on her shoulder, jokingly said:
"We really are a perfect match."
Harry was delighted hearing her say this and smiled along with his good mood, "Yes, we are a perfect match."
He moved in front of her, squatted down, and looked up at her, saying:
"So... don’t think about marrying anyone else."
"Can’t I even think about it?"
"No, you can’t."
Harry didn’t hesitate to reject the idea.
Helen lendy chuckled, her gaze falling back onto Harry’s face, her smile slightly faded, and she solemnly said:
"You tell , how did I end up so unlucky—no parents, the head of the orphanage abandoned , finally getting by until today, but I lost my mory, and now I can’t even walk..."
