Capítulo 1760: Chapter 1760: The Poison May Have Co from Thomas Smith

In his eyes, there was a hint of watching a good show.

Harry Hall has sailed smoothly for so many years; it’s ti for him to encounter so setbacks. If Helen lendy really gets taken away by Edward Smith, it would be quite a spectacle.

Hehe.

Edward Smith lazily glanced at him, without explaining, and instead changed the question, asking:

“What does Helen lendy’s family do? Who are her parents?”

As the Young Master of a prestigious family, his instinctive understanding was that any girl who could have a connection with Harry must co from a family that ets the standards of upper society.

But Harry Hall said, “Not really sure, seems like she grew up in an orphanage. She t my brother when studying at Harvard.”

Hearing that Helen lendy actually ca from an orphanage, Edward Smith couldn’t help but furrow his brows, “Her parents are gone?”

“You’d have to ask my brother about that, how would I know such details.”

Leo Hall snapped, then looking at him seriously, said in a deep voice:

“Are you really interested in my sister-in-law?”

Edward Smith didn’t answer, just furrowed his brows thoughtfully.

“Then what about Johnson Fefferman?”

Leo Hall added provocatively.

Edward Smith’s brows furrowed even deeper upon hearing Leo ntion Johnson Fefferman, “What does Johnson Fefferman have to do with this?”

“Don’t you like Johnson Fefferman?”

“Who told you that?”

Edward Smith’s expression darkened.

“I figured it out myself.”

Edward Smith kept a straight face, not speaking, as if avoiding the topic, his gaze falling on those being honored on stage.

“There’s sothing, I’ve thought about it, and still think I should tell you.”

Leo Hall’s voice rang again next to his ear.

“What is it?”

Edward Smith had already returned to his usual indifferent deanor, asking in a deep voice.

“The poison in my sister-in-law’s body, I suspect it cos from Thomas Smith.”

Leo Hall said sothing that made Edward Smith’s initially indifferent eyes deepen as he glanced at him, “Thomas? Are you sure?”

How did his brother get involved with Helen lendy?

From what he understood, Thomas Smith always focused solely on drug research because he wasn’t willing to beco Leo Hall’s junior assistant; he was more diligent and focused in research than Leo.

Soone who stays in the lab all day, how could they be connected to Helen lendy, soone completely unrelated?

“Not sure, just feels a bit like his style.”

In drug research, although the basic principles are similar, different people will have different approaches and materials when researching.

Leo Hall has worked with Thomas Smith for so many years, naturally familiar with Thomas’s research thods.

He once stord into Thomas’s lab to probe him, but found nothing.

Even though he thought Thomas was a waste, he wouldn’t casually accuse him without reason.

But to say he’s not suspicious at all, that’s not absolute either.

Edward Smith never paid much attention or energy to his siblings.

In fact, Thomas Smith could also be considered a genius, having quite a few achievents in drug research in his twenties, but this kind of genius couldn’t be compared to soone of Leo Hall’s level.

Edward trusted Thomas deeply, even though he wouldn’t spend energy focusing on him, whatever Thomas needed, he would provide without hesitation.

But if it’s really as Leo Hall said, that the poison in Helen lendy’s body ca from his brother, then…

It seems he knows too little about his own brother.
