Helen lendy looked at Elly Campbell with a bit of guilt and said:
"If it weren’t for asking you to co to the mall with , you wouldn’t have had such a big accident."
She didn’t even dare to imagine how she would face Elly’s family, her husband, and her kids if sothing really happened to Elly because of this accident.
"What are you talking about, what does this have to do with you?"
Elly Campbell was a bit helpless, afraid that Helen would bla herself, so she simply laid everything out.
"Even if I didn’t go out, I would still have fallen when I had to."
Under Helen lendy’s puzzled gaze, Elly continued:
"This wasn’t an accident, but the poison in my body acting up..."
She explained in detail to Helen about how Chloe Turner had drugged her, from beginning to end.
Helen listened with incredulous wide eyes, then looked at her with a face full of anxiety.
It wasn’t until Elly said she had taken the antidote from Leo Hall that Helen felt relieved.
"So, this ti it had nothing to do with you calling to the mall, don’t take this accident upon yourself."
After chatting idly for a while, Helen hesitated and then said to Elly:
"Elly, I want to marry Senior Hall."
At the first ntion of this sentence, Elly’s face clearly showed a hint of surprise.
Although she hoped Helen could marry Harry Hall, bringing it up at this critical mont made her feel it was related to her recent fall.
"Why did you suddenly make this decision?"
Helen shook her head, "It’s not a sudden decision, I’ve been considering it for a long ti."
At this point, she pondered for a mont, as if thinking about how to start.
"Do you rember the incident with that couple in our neighborhood?"
Elly certainly rembered, at the ti she almost wanted to cripple those two bastards.
She nodded and saw that Helen had a reminiscent look on her face and said:
"At that ti, seeing our Senior, who seed never to lose his temper, show such a fierce side, I knew he truly loved ."
Helen gave Elly a sowhat embarrassed smile, "At that ti, I thought, after all, we are an engaged couple, even if I don’t rember loving him, I can’t just use my lack of mory as an excuse to abandon my fiancé, don’t you think?"
"It’s quite unfair to him..."
She lowered her eyes, her breath a bit faint as she spoke.
But she knew deep down that no matter what choice she made, it was ultimately unfair to Harry Hall.
Elly quietly looked at her, and after a long pause, asked, "So you’ve decided?"
Helen nodded, "Yes, I’ve decided."
As she spoke, she laughed, "Yesterday, Senior Hall told that even if I don’t love him now, I don’t love any other man either, so why not try marrying him? After all, once I marry him, I’m sure I won’t find any other man appealing."
Elly laughed along with her, "He’s certainly confident."
"But it’s true, after all, no man around has made feel he could compare to him."
Helen praised without holding back in front of Elly.
She recalled Harry Hall saying yesterday to reply to him once Elly woke up; he probably didn’t expect Elly to wake up so soon.
It seems that even God is trying to bring their fates together.
