"But... but other kids all have their dad’s surna, and so does my brother. But I have to take my mom’s last na. Is it because dad doesn’t like that he won’t let have his na?"
"Tsk!"
Leo Hall was a bit troubled by this question. How should he answer?
He didn’t know why the couple whimsically decided one kid should have the surna Campbell, while the other has the surna Jones.
Isn’t this obviously creating a split?
After thinking for a bit, he started to make things up again.
"Of course not. It’s because your mom likes you so much. She couldn’t bear to let you have your dad’s surna. Your mom’s surna is Campbell, and so is yours, which ans your mom likes you more. If you don’t believe , you can ask your mom when you go back."
Hearing this, William Campbell’s eyes indeed lit up, "Really?"
"Of course it’s true. Uncle is your big hero who saved you; a big hero wouldn’t lie."
Upon hearing this, little William was indeed happy again.
After a while, William looked at him again and asked, "Brother, does your mom have another brother for you? Does your mom still like you after having a brother? Do you have your dad’s surna or your mom’s?"
Upon hearing this series of questions from the little guy, Leo Hall’s facial expression froze for a mont, and a complex emotion flashed in his eyes.
This little kid talks so much. If I had known, I shouldn’t have saved him.
After a mont, he still hesitantly said, "I don’t have a brother, I have an older brother."
As he said this, his expression was sowhat unnatural, his eyes were wandering, and he was even a bit embarrassed.
But when William heard he had an older brother, his tear-filled eyes reflected a look of surprise.
"Brother also has a brother. My brother also has a brother, which is , and I’m really nice to my brother. Is your brother nice to you? Is your brother a good brother like ?"
Leo Hall felt a bit dizzy hearing William’s tongue twister.
This little rascal recovered really fast.
Leo Hall didn’t want to interact with him at all, focusing his gaze ahead and quietly driving.
Seeing that he was being ignored, William’s mouth didn’t stop, continuously murmuring by his ear.
"William really likes brother. Brother is traveling with Great-grandmother now, and I think of him every day. Does your brother like you? Does he think of you?"
Little William leaned over to Leo Hall’s side, and talking about his brother Jack Campbell, William would happily chatter nonstop.
As Leo Hall listened, he actually started to feel a bit jealous of William’s brother.
Raising his hand, he pushed little William’s head aside and said:
"You have so many questions."
"But brother hasn’t answered yet."
Feeling a bit of a headache, Leo Hall paused for a mont and then said:
"No, my brother is not nice to at all. He doesn’t even talk to ."
Originally, he just wanted to pacify William, but after saying it, he felt a hint of grievance creeping in.
"Why? Brother is such a good person, why is your brother not nice to you? Your brother must be a big bad guy."
Only a big bad guy wouldn’t like a big hero.
Leo Hall found William’s words amusing yet exasperating and absentmindedly replied, "Mhmm, he’s a big bad guy. So I don’t like my brother either. Can you stop talking now?"
"Okay."
William felt that the big hero brother must be upset because his brother didn’t like him, so he decided not to bring up the sad topic about his brother anymore.
