"Mrs. Jones, don’t go too far!"
Alice Baker’s mother looked at her daughter, who was crying urgently, and bit her teeth as she looked at Elly Campbell, speaking with hatred.
Seeing Elly Campbell playing with her phone like a playboy, she smiled and said:
"Why should I listen to you?"
"You..."
The Baker Family is no match for the Hall Family, let alone the Jones Family. Even though Alice Baker’s mother hated Elly Campbell to the bone, wishing she could eat her flesh and drink her blood, she could only suppress this anger at the mont.
In the eyes of this mother and daughter, Elly Campbell at this mont was like a vile supporting character flaunting her power to bully them.
But because they couldn’t secure the sa "power," they could only be suppressed and bullied by her.
Alice Baker’s mother loathed Elly Campbell deeply; in contrast, Helen lendy seed less annoying.
Helen lendy was actually surprised to hear Elly Campbell speak so directly. In her impression, this junior had always been aloof, ignoring people she deed insignificant whenever possible.
Ignoring is the best counterattack.
She always believed in this principle, but now she was watching Elly Campbell stand in front of her, not aloof as usual, but arguing tenaciously for her.
She may not rember their past relationship, but she believed they must have been very good to each other, the kind of good that one is willing to risk their life for.
She quietly looked at Elly Campbell, her eyes showing so moved expression.
She reached out and gently tugged on Elly Campbell’s clothes, which caused Elly to shift her gaze from the mother and daughter pair to Helen lendy.
"Let handle this."
She graciously rolled up her sleeves, looking like she was ready for a fight.
Even though she was sitting in a wheelchair, seemingly lacking any imposing manner, when she finished rolling up her sleeves and looked at the mother and daughter of the Baker Family, her smiling lips still inspired a bit of fear in them.
"May I know your nas?"
Helen lendy pulled Elly Campbell behind her, not wanting her to ruin her image on her behalf.
Besides, she wouldn’t encounter this kind of situation just once in the future and couldn’t always hide behind others and let them stand up for her.
The Baker Family mother and daughter were already upset with Elly Campbell but couldn’t do anything about it, so they had to redirect their anger at Helen lendy.
Alice’s mother crossed her arms in front of her and lifted her chin with a trace of arrogance, "You have no right to know."
In her view, she lacked a sense of superiority in front of the Jones couple, but in front of Helen lendy, she felt undoubtedly superior.
The way she looked at Helen lendy made it clear that she emphasized the words "no right."
Expecting to see so embarrassnt on Helen lendy’s face, she was surprised when she saw her smile indifferently and shake her head, saying:
"It’s okay, I’m not particularly interested in knowing anyway."
"You..."
Alice’s mother’s face changed.
Whether she was willing to tell was one thing; whether she was interested in knowing was another.
Never mind the Jones couple, how could this cripple look down on them?
Helen lendy understood the emotions hidden in her eyes and didn’t bother to look more. Instead, she looked at Alice Baker, who stood beside her, eyes red, so aggrieved she seed ready to die, and asked casually:
"Were those words you said to ant to accuse of instigating Harry Hall?"
Alice Baker was startled. She indeed thought that way in her heart but couldn’t directly admit it, otherwise, it would be an admission of ddling.
And what she just said was purely from the standpoint of a well-aning person, to tell her that Harry Hall and his mother were in a fierce conflict because of her.
