Chapter 1590: 1590. Is it overthinking?

She looked at Turner and asked, “Have the tests been completed?”

“Yes, but the results for the uterine biopsy won’t be available until tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

Elly Campbell nodded, got off the examination bed, and calmly assessed her physical condition. She didn’t feel any discomfort for the ti being.

Yet, she hadn’t completely set aside her suspicions and just chatted casually with Chief Wood:

“I heard from Turner that she also graduated from Harvard, which makes her my junior in a way.”

“Isn’t that so? Our clinic is certainly brimming with talent.”

Chief Wood’s face showed a bit of undisguised pride.

“Turner is really beautiful. Does she have a boyfriend? How about I introduce soone to her?”

She also began to adopt the social tactics typical of small-town busybodies.

Chief Wood laughed and chid in:

“Turner, you should seize this opportunity. Dr. Campbell knows a bunch of great young guys around her. If she introduces one to you, you’ll definitely be satisfied.”

Elly Campbell smiled and nodded in agreent, subtly probing:

“Where is Turner from? Do you want soone from your hotown, or are you okay with soone from elsewhere too?”

Turner didn’t notice Elly Campbell’s probing and replied honestly:

“I’m originally from Albania. When I was a child, my parents died in a car accident, so I was sent to an orphanage in Boston.”

She smiled sweetly and said:

“But I’ve only just graduated from college, and I’m solely focused on my career now. I don’t want a boyfriend, but thank you, Dr. Campbell.”

Elly Campbell was rely probing Turner and wasn’t sincerely interested in introducing her to a boyfriend, so she didn’t pursue the topic further.

Since Chief Wood had other patients waiting, Elly Campbell couldn’t take up too much of her ti. After a few words, she left too.

After leaving First Hospital, Elly Campbell’s expression turned serious.

She didn’t return to Campbell imdiately but instead visited several large hospitals affiliated with dical universities to undergo a full physical examination.

The reports she obtained later only indicated that her constitution was sowhat weak and needed nourishing but showed no other issues.

She had several examination reports in hand, and the results were all similar.

Elly Campbell wondered if she was simply overthinking things.

When she saw Turner’s smile at the ti, was it just a trick of the eye?

No matter how capable the other party was, it was impossible for them to have so quickly bribed so many large hospitals to provide fake reports for her.

Besides, these hospitals were ones she chose temporarily, so the other party couldn’t possibly have the ability to foresee her actions.

Perhaps because the events of recent days had made her overly cautious.

Elly Campbell put away the examination reports and finally returned to Campbell with peace of mind.

The representative from Auston in Germany was Lisa Fefferman’s daughter, Johnson Fefferman, who was about the sa age as Elly Campbell.

She had a tall figure and a very delicate Oriental female face that radiated gentle charm.

This gentleness wasn’t a superficially crafted softness but rather a femininity that emanated from her very bones.

Yet this femininity also contained a hint of competence.

Two seemingly contradictory traits blended perfectly in Johnson Fefferman.

“Brother Adam, sister-in-law.”

Her gaze stopped on Johnson Fefferman, observing without expression for a while, until Johnson herself broke the silence first.

“Hungry? I’ve already reserved a restaurant; let’s eat first.”

Adam Jones proactively reached out to take the luggage from her, and Johnson Fefferman handed it over without a fuss, walking over to Elly Campbell’s side and smiling:

“I often see my sister-in-law on TV. It’s the first ti we’ve t today, and she’s even prettier than on TV.”
