Chapter 1571: 1571. Can I pursue you?

She pressed her lips together, a strange pain creeping into her heart, slowly gathering at the tip of it.

She thought she didn’t really have deep feelings for Harry Hall, and even cutting off this connection that she had no mory of would be very easy for her.

But seeing Harry Hall’s lonely and bitter appearance, a strange pain welled up in her heart.

She even felt she was being sowhat cruel to Harry Hall.

She pressed her lips together, forcing herself to harden her heart, and apologized in a muted voice:

“I’m sorry, Senior Hall.”

She still called him “Senior,” marking her stance on their relationship.

She watched him feign a calm expression, reluctantly pulling a faint smile at the corners of his mouth, and said:

“I don’t rember how deeply we loved each other. That mory is foreign to , and I can’t empathize with it.”

She saw the fleeting despondency in Harry Hall’s eyes, his grip on the wheelchair’s armrest tightening subconsciously.

But she still bit her lip and continued—

“To now, I have no feelings for you… let alone to the point of marrying you.”

She felt her words were cruel enough, and within these stone-hearted remarks, there was even a sense of irresponsibility towards the past feelings. She also thought Harry Hall would turn away angrily and slam the door.

If that were the case, she would instead feel more at ease, and presumably, they could completely break off from there.

And her little unworthy admiration would also end today.

But after she finished speaking, as she awaited Harry Hall to leave in a huff, he simply pulled a helpless, pale smile, nodded at her, “Hmm, I understand what you an.”

Helen lendy looked at him, waiting for him to say: I’ll go now, and we won’t et or have any relationship in the future.

But he didn’t say that. After saying those words, he just kept looking at her with a gentle smile, and a few seconds later, added:

“I know you have no feelings for now, but you don’t dislike , do you?”

Helen lendy didn’t understand why Harry Hall asked this, hesitated a bit, and then honestly nodded.

Of course, she didn’t dislike him, he was her idol, the guy she had secretly crushed on.

It’s just that the crush wasn’t that intense.

So, how could she say “dislike” for the man she secretly admired?

She saw Harry Hall’s eyebrows relax a bit.

The next words he said almost made her fall out of the wheelchair from shock.

“Then from now on, may I pursue you?”

Helen lendy stared dumbfounded at the gentle smile in Harry Hall’s eyes, but the intent to pursue her was undeniably genuine.

Elly had said that she was the one who chased after Harry Hall back then, and Elly wouldn’t lie to her.

She just couldn’t figure out why, even though it was the sa nine years ago, she now couldn’t muster the will to chase after Harry Hall. In fact, when Harry Hall made this request, her first reaction was to refuse.

Why did she make up her mind to pursue him nine years ago?

Her hand, held by Harry Hall, feeling the warmth of his palm, she realized her fingertips were very cold, she… even sowhat cherished the warmth of his palm.

But this desire was still covered by reason.

She quietly withdrew her hand from Harry Hall’s palm, only to hear him say:

“May I pursue you, Helen?”
