Chapter 1500: 1500. Elly Campbell really looks down on people with a snobbish eye.

Campbell Group—

“CEO Campbell, there’s a lady downstairs with the last na Taylor saying she’s a friend you know from Atlanta Baker’s side. She wants to see you.”

Elly Campbell was flipping through the docunts in her hand when she heard the secretary co in to deliver the ssage. She raised an eyebrow and looked up from the file.

A lady Taylor, acquainted with Atlanta Baker?

No need to ask—it’s obvious who it is.

Looks like Sophia Taylor still hasn’t given up, daring to co knocking.

Judging by this, she’s probably left Atlanta Baker and is looking for a job now?

“Did she book an appointnt?”

“Well…”

Of course, she hadn’t made an appointnt. It was just that the people downstairs heard she was from Atlanta Baker’s circle, and since the CEO had been particularly attentive to matters related to Atlanta Baker recently, they didn’t dare overlook her.

But judging by CEO Campbell’s expression now, it was clear that the so-called friend downstairs wasn’t even worth a second thought.

Ha, yet another shaless attempt to climb the social ladder.

“Next ti, don’t bother with people trying to exploit connections like this.”

“Understood, CEO Campbell.”

The secretary left and made a reply call to the reception desk downstairs.

After putting down the phone, the receptionist politely but distantly said to the well-dressed Sophia Taylor, whose eyes were filled with hopeful anticipation:

“Sorry, without an appointnt, you cannot et CEO Campbell.”

Hearing the receptionist’s cold tone, Sophia Taylor felt a sinking sensation in her heart. Especially imagining Elly Campbell acting so haughty made her all the more resentful.

After all, they had known each other once, and had even taught classes together. How could it require an appointnt just to et her?

What kind of person does that?

Anger churned within Sophia Taylor, but recalling how she’d hit a wall at several prestigious schools while trying to teach these past few days, she forcefully suppressed her frustration.

She offered the receptionist an appropriate smile and said:

“Could it be that the upstairs secretary made a mistake? Could you please check again? I really am good friends with your CEO Campbell.”

The receptionist recalled the feedback from the upstairs secretary and knew this person was deliberately trying to get close to CEO Campbell.

Fortunately, CEO Campbell wasn’t petty, so she hadn’t been held accountable for it. There was no way the receptionist would risk anything further on her behalf.

The previously polite smile on her face now turned cold. “Sorry, without an appointnt, you cannot et CEO Campbell.”

Sophia Taylor’s face darkened again, and her earlier gentleness could no longer be maintained.

She persisted, saying a few more things, but the receptionist remained unmoved, and Sophia Taylor was so infuriated she almost started shouting.

It was at that mont Lily Jones walked in from outside. The receptionist ignored Sophia Taylor entirely and eagerly greeted Lily Jones, saying, “Miss Jones.”

“Is Elly upstairs?”

“CEO Campbell is upstairs.”

“Alright, I’m going up to find her.”

As Lily Jones went upstairs, her gaze aningfully lingered on Sophia Taylor for a mont.

After sending Lily Jones on her way, the receptionist returned to her post. Sophia Taylor had just overheard Lily’s tone, which obviously indicated she hadn’t booked an appointnt, yet she’d gone directly upstairs to see Elly nonetheless. Why was Sophia Taylor required to make an appointnt?

That face of Lily Jones’s looked sowhat familiar to her, but she couldn’t quite place where she’d seen her before.

Judging by her appearance, though, it was clear she ca from a wealthy family. Comparing herself to her…

Heh!

This office claid no one could et Elly Campbell without an appointnt, but a rich girl shows up and skips the line entirely?

Elly Campbell truly was a snob!

Suppressing her indignation, Sophia couldn’t hold back anymore and said to the receptionist:

“Why didn’t that person just now need an appointnt? Are you looking down on ?”
