Chapter 1463: 1463. Take a pee and reflect
This ti, Ethan White managed to dodge successfully, and right after, his fist swung straight toward Adam Jones’ abdon.
In the blink of an eye, the two tall n were exchanging punches, locked in a serious scuffle.
The intensity between them was so strong that none of the nearby employees dared to intervene.
Elly Campbell was sitting in the temporary cafeteria, having lunch with Sophia Taylor. Earlier, she had casually told them to take their fight elsewhere, not expecting them to actually start brawling.
Leo Hall was eating his al with a bowl in hand, sitting on a small stool at the door. Unlike his usual image as a refined heir, he now looked completely laid-back.
He took a bite with his chopsticks, glanced into the distance now and then, and shortly after—
Just as Elly was wondering why the two hadn’t co in to eat yet, Leo’s voice ca from the doorway—
“Sister-in-law, President Jones and Mr. White are fighting.”
Elly and Sophia, who were seated at the small dining table, both had their expressions change instantly.
Elly threw her chopsticks onto the table and quickly hurried out. Sure enough, she saw Ethan White and Adam Jones grappling not far off.
Elly’s face darkened imdiately.
She cast a glance downward at Leo, who was still seated with his bowl, watching the spectacle with relish, and said in a low voice, “Why didn’t you say so earlier!”
No wonder this guy was enjoying his al so much—it seed he got a great show to accompany his al.
Leo didn’t show any guilt at all; instead, he flashed Elly a fawning smile.
Elly shot him a glare, her face stormy, and ran toward the two n.
Sophia stood motionless at the original spot, her gaze calmly fixed on the two n tangled up in the fight. She muttered in a soft voice:
“Teacher Campbell really has so skill, even after getting married she can still have two n fighting over her.”
She said this without bothering to avoid Leo Hall.
In Sophia’s eyes, Leo was just a young man who had barely beco an adult. Coupled with the innocent look on his face, she didn’t see him as soone worthy of consideration.
Leo raised his eyes to glance at her and sneered mockingly, “A woman’s allure isn’t defined by marriage or not. Soone as ugly as you wouldn’t have anyone fighting over you, married or not.”
Leo spoke with no filter whatsoever, and his “soone as ugly as you” remark left Sophia utterly humiliated.
As if that weren’t enough, Leo pointed toward Ethan White’s direction and continued:
“See that? Ethan would rather throw punches at Adam Jones for my sister-in-law, while you tried to cozy up to him and got brushed off. That’s the difference.”
Watching Sophia’s pale and mortified expression, Leo showed no signs of sympathy or chivalry.
“There are plenty of stupid won in the world, and lots of them lack self-awareness. I won’t laugh at you, but don’t let hear another word of you disrespecting my sister-in-law.”
Sophia’s face shifted colors under the sting of Leo’s blunt words, eventually settling into a cold smirk.
“Sister-in-law this, sister-in-law that. Seems like you’re pretty protective of Teacher Campbell, huh? What’s the matter? Do you have a thing for her too?”
Leo idly poked at the rice in his bowl with his chopsticks, his gaze lowered to hide the darkness in his eyes. A sinister smirk curled at the corners of his lips.
After a brief pause, he lifted his eyes to gaze at Sophia. The clarity had returned to his expression, but his words cut sharp and venomous:
“Protect her? Why would I protect you, you ugly freak? I heard there’s a cesspool up ahead—how about you go take a leak and look at yourself to see if you’re even worth considering?”
