Chapter 1450: 1450. The Big Boss Behind the Gloriousness
At this mont, Adam Jones was already carrying Elly Campbell to their project group’s location. The two were chatting and laughing together.
Looking at Adam’s deanor, he didn’t appear even slightly strained from carrying Elly up the mountain earlier. Ethan White glanced at them for a mont before averting his gaze.
If Adam could consistently treat her this well for a lifeti, why should Ethan bother ddling?
“How does Ethan White know Willy Willock?”
The communication base station was built on the mountain top. From the high vantage point looking down, the couple imdiately spotted Willy and Ethan standing together earlier.
The way Willy interacted with Ethan made it clear he was holding himself with the deference of a subordinate toward a superior.
Adam Jones also had a contemplative look on his face. After pondering for a mont, he casually speculated:
“Maybe Ethan White is the hidden boss behind Windflower Corporation.”
Adam’s assumption surprised Elly for a mont, though it wasn’t beyond belief.
Ethan White always struck her as enigmatic. Even Adam’s resources couldn’t unearth his identity, which was proof enough of his complexity.
Windflower Corporation was probably just one of many unimportant ventures under his na.
“If he’s indeed the mastermind behind Windflower Corporation, then no wonder Willy Willock showed up here,” she remarked.
When the big boss himself appears, wouldn’t the corporation’s second-in-command naturally follow?
She had joked earlier that even a remote mountain project seed to have drawn several big shots here. Now, her words felt even more apt.
Indeed, this project had truly turned into a gathering ground for major movers and shakers.
As this thought crossed her mind, another idea erged. She said, “Then could we trace Ethan White’s identity through Windflower Corporation?”
To know one’s enemy is key to winning every battle.
Though she didn’t understand what Ethan White was planning, and he hadn’t shown any overt intentions yet, uncovering his identity would undoubtedly be advantageous.
“I’ll let Robert Green investigate,” Adam replied.
He raised his hand to gently ruffle the top of her head.
The mountainous region of Atlanta Baker was economically underdeveloped, but its untouched natural scenery was breathtakingly beautiful.
Especially from where Elly and Adam currently stood, the sprawling landscape below was both stunning and grand.
Since Adam decided to assign the investigation of Ethan White to Robert Green, Elly didn’t dwell on the matter further. Gesturing at the magnificent mountain range ahead, she struck a pose reminiscent of soone surveying their domain.
“Once the highway is built, communication established, and this place developed into a tourism zone with a specialized managent team, the local economy of Atlanta Baker will surely catch up gradually. It could also resolve the employnt issues for most of the mountain’s labor force,” she said optimistically.
The villagers here are simple and hardworking. If proper employnt opportunities were provided, and their inco wasn’t less than working outside, many would naturally return ho from other provinces.
Not only would this address the employnt issue for the villagers, but it would also help improve the living conditions of many left-behind elderly and children.
Having young people at ho would always be so form of security.
Adam nodded in agreent and endorsed Elly’s idea. “When we return, I’ll talk with the mayor and start planning this thoroughly.”
The Atlanta Baker mountainous region is vast and sparsely populated, primarily because it’s far too underdeveloped, causing young people to migrate elsewhere.
If a tourism zone was developed here, the migrant workers could be called back.
The local residents are more familiar with the mountainous terrain, which would make developnt much smoother than dispatching new teams into the region.
At that mont, Adam’s satellite phone began to ring.
Because the communication base station in the mountains hadn’t been built yet, contacting the outside world relied entirely on satellite phones.
