As he spoke, his gaze landed intensely on Elly’s tilessly beautiful face, untouched by makeup yet radiating charm. A smirk tugged at his lips, and leaning closer to her ear, he murmured:
“Without you, I can’t sleep at night.”
Elly quietly twisted his waist with a sharp pinch, muttering under her breath:
“Can you be serious for a mont?”
“Why not? I’m always serious when you’re not around—it’s just that you never get to see it.”
Adam couldn’t resist defending himself.
Elly’s lips twitched.
Sure, she “can’t see it.”
