Chapter 1355: 1355. Cold-blooded and Paranoid

It’s rare to find soone who can fool him, even his subordinates can’t find any traces.
Although Adam Jones might not necessarily lose to Ethan White, Elly Campbell has seen Ethan’s paranoia.
A paranoid person can sotis do things that utterly surprise you.
After so thought, Elly added, “He said that right after he finished elentary school, his father went bankrupt. He would’ve been around eleven or twelve years old then, right?”
She lowered her eyes in thought and continued, “Judging by Ethan’s appearance, he seems about twenty-six or twenty-seven, so that was about fifteen or sixteen years ago.”
Fifteen or sixteen years ago?
Back then, he was also only fifteen or sixteen years old, studying alone in the United States.
He didn’t know much about dostic affairs.
To let his grandmother retire early and rest, he devoted all his energies to his own matters and those of the Jones family, caring even less about other people’s issues.
As for the incident of Ethan’s father going bankrupt and committing suicide by jumping off a building, Adam Jones really had no recollection of it.
Adam Jones shared this thought with Elly Campbell, who then showed a look of worry on her face.

Adam isn’t worried about what Ethan might do to him, as absolutely nothing about him can be investigated.
Either he isn’t in the country, or even if he is in another country, with all his connections, his reach can’t be that long.
But one thing is certain, Ethan’s capabilities are a match for his own.
Seeing his wife, whom he has reclaid, still troubled by this, he laughed lightly and pulled her into his embrace, saying:
“What? You have so little confidence in your island master?”
“Of course not.”
Elly casually looped her arm around his neck and kissed him on the face as if to please him, saying:
“But it’s better to have less trouble than more. Too much happened today; I still haven’t completely gotten over it.”
Saying this, Elly’s tone revealed a touch of sighs.
“It’s okay, everything will be fine from now on.”
Adam Jones wrapped his arms around Elly Campbell’s waist and buried his chin in the crook of her shoulder. He hesitated for a mont before saying:
“Even though I couldn’t find out Ethan’s identity, two days ago, when I was investigating him, I discovered soone had hired a hitman to kill him.”
“Two days ago?”
Elly raised her head from his embrace, “Isn’t that when he took away from the White family?”
Initially, she thought Ethan was tricking her, but it seems he had already known soone wanted to kill him; is that why he took her away?
Adam was thinking the sa as Elly, no, with a husband’s instinctive sensitivity to another man near his wife, Adam might be even more insightful than Elly.
That guy nad Ethan White clearly has feelings for his wife.
And moreover, he’s a selfish, extre, and cold-blooded paranoid.
From the fact that he only saved Elly while ignoring the lives of three other traffic cops, it’s clear that if Elly hadn’t piqued his interest sohow or if she weren’t otherwise useful to him, he would’ve let her die just the sa.
And from what Elly said, Ethan saved her three tis, and twice it was at the risk of his own life.
If it were soone else, Adam might have interpreted it as acts of kindness, but Ethan…
If he’s willing to risk his life, it must be for soone more important to him than his own life.
Thinking this, Adam Jones’s brows furrowed, and his distaste for the man nad Ethan deepened.
