Chapter 128: 128. Officially divorced_1 Chapter 128: 128. Officially divorced_1 “Fine, then let’s play the waiting ga. I want to see who dares to touch Adam Jones’s woman.”
He leaned in, his breath warm in Elly Campbell’s ear, a position that seed so intimate and affectionate to outsiders. Only Elly could feel the chilling coldness emanating from Adam Jones, as if it radiated from the tip of a millennia-old glacier.
“Even if it’s that second Young Master of the Churchill Family, I’ll still cripple him!”
Adam Jones spoke through gritted teeth, the murderous intent in his words undisguised.
Elly could feel that Adam’s words were not a threat, but a genuine harboring of killing intent.
Even soone as composed as Elly was startled by his words, her fists clenched tightly as she feigned calm, “Adam Jones, we live in a society governed by law now.”
She licked her dry lips, finding that her own words lacked any confidence.
Adam’s low chuckle reached her ears, his warm breath circulating around her ear, causing Elly to involuntarily stiffen her entire back.
“Of course, I am a law-abiding citizen,” he said with a smile, yet his eyes were cold and terrifying. As for doing anything illegal, that was not sothing he would personally engage in.
Elly understood all too well what lurked behind Adam’s words. She felt a chill down her spine. By then, Adam had already let her go, his smile still there but not reaching his eyes.
“I told you long ago, you should either have never married or, having married , withdrawing won’t be so easy,” he said, his slender fingers brushing lightly over the strands of hair falling on Elly’s cheeks. He smiled faintly with his thin lips and then turned and left.
The mont he turned, Adam’s face sank once again, a dangerous aura seeping through his eyes.

Elly Campbell and Adam Jones’s divorce litigation was still waiting for a court date, and on the other side, Jenna Clark had also handed Jas Campbell a signed divorce agreent.
“You want a divorce?”
Upon seeing the divorce agreent Jenna Clark had already signed, Jas’s eyes lit up, unable to hide his excitent.
He had always wanted a divorce, to bring Sophie and her mother into the Campbell Family ho, but with the Old Master’s opposition, he always feared to bring up the topic himself.
But now, with Jenna initiating it, he naturally couldn’t wait.
“Yes, we’ve dragged this on for so many years, and I see that you can’t stand it anymore.”
Parading his illegitimate daughter in public behind closed doors, did he really think she was unaware of his intentions?
When Elly was younger, she tried to maintain an appearance of a complete family. Now that Elly had grown up, such superficial harmony was completely unnecessary.
Besides, Jas was a father that Elly herself disdained.
“Review the divorce agreent, and if there’s no issue, then sign it.”
Containing his inner excitent, Jas closely reviewed the divorce agreent.
The agreent outlined the division of properties. The Campbell corporation was initially founded by Jenna Clark, but it was nad after the family to give Jas face.
They each held twenty percent of the company’s shares. Beyond that, for other marital properties, Jenna didn’t nitpick, simply splitting the larger sums in half.
As for Jas’s infidelity and his illegitimate daughter, Jenna couldn’t be bothered to quibble with him anymore and simply wanted to settle the divorce quickly.
So, the property division on the divorce agreent was very clear, without any objection from Jas, who then signed the agreent.
Afterward, they both received their divorce certificates. When the Old Master learned of this, he was quite furious, but he also knew that Jenna had endured enough over the years, and the divorce was a relief to her.
