Chapter 1176: 1176. Getting beaten up unilaterally
“Elly Campbell!”
Jas Campbell suddenly called out behind her. As Elly Campbell was about to turn around, she felt a fierce shove from Jas.
Neither she nor her husband had anticipated Jas’s actions. Elly couldn’t dodge in ti and was pushed down the steps of the hospital building by Jas.
Fortunately, Adam Jones reacted quickly, rushing in front of Elly and, before she fell, caught her around the waist.
“Elly, how are you?”
Elly, with her hands protecting her stomach, shook her head.

The panicked look in Adam’s eyes turned deadly in the instant he looked at Jas. His face showed the murderous intent of Lord Yama from Hell.
The ferocity on Jas’s face didn’t fade, and there was even a trace of disappointnt when he saw Elly being successfully protected by Adam.
The next second, Jas received a vicious kick to his stomach and stumbled back a few feet.
Seeing it was Adam, fear flickered in Jas’s eyes. But as he thought of the suffering his precious daughter, Sophie, had endured, his fear was replaced by anger.
Adam grabbed Jas by the collar and landed several punches on him, right and left, leaving Jas with a bruised and swollen face.
“If it weren’t for the fact that you share blood with Elly, I would have taken your life!”
Jas was almost entirely on the receiving end of Adam’s blows.
Now, he was truly frightened by Adam’s ferocity.
Adam, concerned for Elly and the child and not in the mood to deal with Jas, turned back to Elly and said,
“Are you okay? I can accompany you to get checked out.”
He had plenty of ti to deal with Jas later.
Although Elly didn’t feel any abnormalities at the mont, it was her own child. Worried that the shock might cause problems, she didn’t object and nodded to leave.
But Jas, perhaps truly treasuring his daughter Sophie as his life, saw Elly leaving and still cursed behind her,
“Elly Campbell, how can there be soone as venomous as you in this world? No matter what you say, she’s your sister. How could you cause her to be hit by a car? Do you know she almost lost her life?”
At this ti, the hospital was bustling with people, and many had noticed when Adam first began to strike Jas.
Now, with Jas’s loud reprimanding, the crowd of onlookers, curious, grew.
Jas didn’t understand why, but by cursing at his legitimate daughter for a love child, he still felt he stood on the side of public opinion with more people around.
Seeing the crowd swell, a mix of satisfaction and rage rose in Jas’s heart.
Clutching his stomach where Adam had kicked him, and with a bruised face, he pointed at Elly, berating her,
“I know you don’t like Sophie, but no matter what, she’s still your sister by blood. How can you harm her like that? How can you be so cruel?”
Elly didn’t speak, but Adam couldn’t stand it any longer.
Just as he was about to step forward, Elly stopped him.
“It’s okay, let him talk.”
Elly had long lost any expectations for her father Jas, so when he pointed and cursed at her, she took it as the ranting of a mad dog before her.
