Wen Yuci and Ming Yao, after saying goodbye to Xia Yiwan, returned to the residential complex around nine in the evening.
Exiting the elevator, she pushed Zhi Xia towards the apartnt.
Leaning against the door of the apartnt was a tall, handso man, with several bags placed at his feet. His head was slightly bowed, his eyes obscured by the lenses of his glasses, making it hard to discern his expression.

Once inside the apartnt, Fu Yunshen handed over the items he had brought to Zhi Xia.

Wen Yuci left the father and daughter alone for a while, “I need to give Zhi Xia a bath first, you can stay with her afterwards.”
Fu Yunshen stepped out of the room.
After Zhi Xia had taken her bath, Fu Yunshen went back in and read with her for a while.
Given the emotional ups and downs Zhi Xia had gone through that day, she was sowhat tired and didn’t take long to fall asleep.
Fu Yunshen looked at her fair and pretty little face, gently stroked her hair with his long fingers, planted a kiss on her forehead, and then stood up to leave.
While Wen Yuci was tidying up in the living room, she saw Fu Yunshen co out and asked, “Is Zhi Xia asleep?”
“Yes.”
He looked at her with his profound phoenix eyes, “I have found a maid for you, who will start work tomorrow to help you take care of Zhi Xia.”
Perhaps guessing that Wen Yuci would refuse, Fu Yunshen added, “It’s for the child.”

After staring at her for a few seconds, he said, “I’m leaving.”
Wen Yuci got up, ready to see him out of the apartnt.
However, as soon as he reached the apartnt door, his tall figure wavered unsteadily.
He pressed his large palm against his stomach, his eyebrows knotting in discomfort.
The handso profile of his face was tinged with a trace of pallor, portraying a look of suppressed suffering.
Wen Yuci saw the look of pain on his face and asked with a frown, “Is your stomach hurting?”
Fu Yunshen shook his head; taking long strides, he planned to leave, but after only a few steps, he stopped again.
Seeing that he was in serious stomach pain, Wen Yuci quickly supported him to the living room sofa.
“I have so stomach dicine here; I’ll get it for you.”
Wen Yuci also suffered from stomach issues and knew how awful it felt when the pain hit.
After fetching the dicine, she brought him a cup of warm water.
After feeding him the dicine, she was about to get up when she suddenly felt a pain on her scalp.
Her long hair had caught on the button of his shirt.
Wen Yuci panicked a bit, hurriedly trying to untangle her hair, but the more she rushed, the less she was able to free it.
“Don’t rush; let do it.”
Fu Yunshen lifted his long fingers and untangled Wen Yuci’s hair from his button.
Just as Wen Yuci was about to get up, the man’s distinctively jointed long fingers reached out to her.
He clasped her waist and pulled her forcefully into his embrace.
“Ci Ci, don’t move; let hold you for a mont.”
