Chapter 499: Chapter 497: As You Wish, Granting You Freedom Chapter 499: Chapter 497: As You Wish, Granting You Freedom Fu Yunshen received the sharp dagger.

He toyed with it in his hands for a mont.

Then, he put it back in her hands.

With his phoenix eyes dark and deep, he said, “If you want to leave , you can only do so over my dead body!”

Wen Yuci suddenly gave a soft laugh, and then the corners of her lips hooked up into a faint sneer.

“You think I don’t have the guts?”

Fu Yunshen saw the decisiveness and hatred flash in her eyes, and his brows furrowed tightly.

The next second, he watched her grip the handle of the knife and plunge its sharp end into his shoulder.

It was originally aid at his heart.

But in the mont of action, she still had a heart of rcy.

She spared his life, as a final punctuation to their relationship!

The sharp dagger plunged rcilessly into Fu Yunshen’s shoulder.

The thick blood surged out of the wound as it was pierced.

Though it wasn’t a stab to the heart, she didn’t hold back.

The wound was deep.

Being injured was painful after all; he breathed more heavily.

He pressed his lips tightly together, his phoenix eyes growing even darker, but from beginning to end, he never stopped her movents.

Reaching this point, he seed to have anticipated it.

Their eyes t, neither of them speaking.

In the silent air, there was only the uneven sound of breathing.

On the floor, fresh red blood dropped from his wound.

Fu Yunshen curled his lips slightly, “Do you want to thrust the knife into my heart now?”

Wen Yuci pulled back the dagger from his shoulder. She didn’t thrust at his heart, but instead directly stabbed toward her own chest.

Seeing this, Fu Yunshen’s pupils shrunk violently.

Without thinking, he grabbed the dagger.

His fingers were cut by the sharp blade.

Wen Yuci’s eyes were devoid of any emotion as she looked at the man before her, her face ashen, “Fu Yunshen, if you refuse to let go, it will be either your death or mine between us!”

Hearing her words, every nerve in Fu Yunshen’s body started to ache.

More than the pain in his shoulder, it was his chest that hurt more, as if it were stuffed with cotton, making it hard for him to breathe.

“I heard you’re marrying Fu Ziyuan?”

Before he left work today, he had received a call from Fu Ziyuan.

Fu Ziyuan told him that Wen Yuci had agreed to marry him.

Fu Yunshen stared at Wen Yuci intensely, as if ready to crush her to pieces at the word “yes.”

Wen Yuci t Fu Yunshen’s phoenix eyes directly, without hesitation, she replied with one word, “Yes.”

Fu Yunshen’s tall fra wavered unsteadily.

His already crimson phoenix eyes seed to seep with blood threads.

He forcefully yanked the dagger from her hands, then tightly gripped her shoulders as if he wanted to crush her bones.

Wen Yuci’s shoulders ached from his grip, but she didn’t utter a word of plea.

She looked at him directly, without any hint of compromise or retreat.

Fu Yunshen’s chest heaved violently, as continual pain spread from the depths of his heart, reaching every limb.

“Wen Yuci, you’re so cruel!” His voice burst forth from his throat, hard as stone.

Wen Yuci laughed absent-mindedly, “The one who’s always been cruel is not , but you, Fu Yunshen.”

If she had been any weaker, she most likely would have been driven mad by him!

“You must marry Fu Ziyuan?”

Wen Yuci blinked her long lashes lightly, tears silently slipping down from the corners of her eyes.

“I will marry anyone, but never you.”

Hearing her words, Fu Yunshen felt a trendous slash opening up within his heart.

A gush of fresh blood surged forth.

“If you force again, I will have only death to seek.”

Fu Yunshen’s lanky fra stumbled several steps backward, unsteadily.

He slowly crouched down, his hands cradling his head.

After an unknown amount of ti had passed, he finally said in a hoarse voice, “You can go. From now on, I won’t force you into anything.”

Wen Yuci watched him crouched on the ground, like a helpless child, and her eyes no longer showed any ripples of emotion.

“I hope you keep your word, tear up that agreent.”

Without lingering a second longer, she turned and quickened her pace away.

It wasn’t until the sound of the door closing reached him that Fu Yunshen slowly lifted his head.

He quickly chased after her, not knowing what had co over him.

Wen Yuci had already taken the elevator down.

Fu Yunshen hurriedly took another elevator.

When he reached the ground floor and wanted to call out to her just as he saw her figure, he noticed a black luxury car driving up.

Fu Ziyuan pushed open the car door and stepped out.

He walked up to Wen Yuci, said sothing to her, and draped his arm around her slender shoulders.

Wen Yuci got into the car with him.

Fu Yunshen’s body slumped weakly against the wall, chest pains so severe he could hardly stand straight.

His eyes turned bloodshot as he watched the car drive away, thinking of her being soone else’s wife in the future, having children with another man, and he felt like a fierce beast that had suffered a major blow.

His body shook with cold and even madness.

He slowly crouched down again, his once-bright red eyes gradually grew dull until they lost all their shine.

He frantically pulled at his hair until his vision blacked out. He lost consciousness and completely fainted.

Inside the private restaurant.

Ming Yao invited Wen Yuci out to eat.

Originally, Ming Yao was to leave the capital, but when she suddenly found out about the death of Wen Yuci’s father, she attended Father Wen’s funeral and stayed with Wen Yuci for a few days.

So much had happened recently.

One incident after another.

In just a short period, Wen Yuci had grown considerably thinner.

Ming Yao ordered Wen Yuci’s favorite dishes and soup.

“Yuci, your aunt still needs you. You need to pull yourself together soon.”

Wen Yuci nodded, “I stabbed Fu Yunshen last night.”

Ming Yao was taken aback.

“He has promised to set free.” She should’ve been happy, but she couldn’t muster any joy, still burdened with heaviness and discomfort in her heart.

Wen Yuci’s long eyelashes drooped, and she appeared slightly dazed, “Yaoyao, I’m getting married to Fu Ziyuan.”

Maybe for fear she would change her mind, her marriage to Fu Ziyuan was hastily arranged to take place in just half a month.

Ming Yao was so shocked that she was at a loss for words.

After a long while, she asked softly, “Is your mom forcing you to marry Fu Ziyuan?”

Wen Yuci sniffed, her voice tinged with a sob, “Actually, whether I’m forced or not doesn’t matter anymore. I will never have happiness in this life. As long as it’s not Fu Yunshen, marrying anyone is fine.”

“Then I’ll stay for your wedding before I leave…”

Wen Yuci shook her head, “I’m not planning to invite any friends. It will just be a small wedding with relatives gathered.”

Because she was not happy nor joyful, she did not want her friends to witness an unhappy mont in her life.

“Yaoyao, don’t worry about . Instead, you need to be happier yourself.”

Wen Yuci picked a piece of fish for Ming Yao. Ming Yao took a bite, and suddenly, her stomach churned like a turbulent sea!
