Gu Siting’s eyebrows were tightly furrowed as he walked toward the alley entrance.
The large hand tucked in his pocket clenched slightly, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.

“Who are you calling?” Gu Siting asked in a deep voice.
“Fujin.”
“Why does the ringtone…” Gu Siting turned his head to glance into the alley.
Ming Yao had forgotten to mute the Little Maid’s phone, and her scalp tingled when its ringtone sounded.
Tyrant Gu and Mu Chengjin had already turned their heads to look at her. Wouldn’t she give herself away if she took out her phone now?
After hearing the ringtone, Tyrant Gu walked towards Ming Yao.
The atmosphere beca tense and suffocating.
Just as Ming Yao felt at a loss, a man ca walking by.
His cell phone ringtone was the sa as that of the Little Maid’s phone.
Ming Yao quickly muted her own phone as he passed by, taking his call.
The man answered the call, “Got it, got it. You’re one short for the ga, right? I’ll be right there.”
Gu Siting also stopped in his tracks.
He gave Ming Yao a deep look through his dark brows but did not say anything more and turned away, pushing Mu Chengjin as they left.
Once they were in the car, Mu Chengjin, looking at the cold-faced Gu Siting, asked in his clear voice, “Fourth Brother, aren’t you taking Ming Yao back with you?”
“Not taking her.” Gu Siting sounded sowhat irritable at the ntion of Ming Yao. When had this woman begun to hold such sway over him?
When he faced her, he found himself involuntarily wanting to kiss her.
Just one look, one gesture from her, could provoke his physical response.
Damned woman!
Seeing that Gu Siting did not wish to talk about Ming Yao, Mu Chengjin tactfully did not ask further.
“Fourth Brother, Fujin has not returned to the Imperial Garden. Could it have sothing to do with her boyfriend?”
Gu Siting thought of the timid and frail Little Maid, his brows knitting even tighter.
“Let’s head back. She might return soon enough.”
Ming Yao went back to the Tube Building to change her clothes, donning the Little Maid’s attire before setting off for the Imperial Garden.
It was about ten o’clock at night when she arrived at the Imperial Garden.
The lights in the living room were bright; Gu Siting and Mu Chengjin were both there on the couch.
Seeing her return, Gu Siting walked towards her, his handso features cold and deep, “Your arm should be healed by now. I told you to rest, not to take the whole day off!”
Watching the man who looked as if he had swallowed gunpowder, Ming Yao’s mouth twitched.
“Fourth Brother, Fujin must have encountered sothing since she’s co back so late. Don’t be harsh on her.”
Gu Siting didn’t know what he was irritated about—a Ming Yao, a Little Maid; none of them gave him peace of mind.
Ming Yao bit her lower lip, instantly adopting the frail deanor of the Little Maid. Her long eyelashes trembled lightly, as though tears might fall at any mont, “Fourth Master, Young Master Mu, I am really sorry for making you worry. Sothing indeed happened today, and it’s made feel quite down.”
Mu Chengjin asked with concern, “What happened?”
“My boyfriend and I broke up…”
