She almost instantly got into character.

The script in her hand beca her dagger, and she walked step by step toward the supporting actors playing the leading roles, her gaze one of contempt and mockery with a hint of youthful immaturity, perfectly fitting.

The leading actors covered in mud retreated step by step under her approach, feeling oppressed: "Ye... Ye Zizheng, don’t co over, mixing with them won’t end well for you."

"So what? Stay bullied forever with you guys? Little cripple." Gu Zhi sneered, pulling out the "dagger" from her pocket.

Due to nervousness, her hand shook slightly as she tightened her grip on the dagger, pointing it at the two, her eyes shifting from cold indifference to tension, yet she forced a calm deanor, threatening, "Hand over your money, or I’ll... I’ll stab you."

The girl "Jiang Yinru" was startled, and "Chen Cheng" quickly supported her, looking at the knife in her hand with vigilance and fear, "We... we really don’t have any more money, just put the knife down first..."

"Cut the crap!" Gu Zhi yelled, her voice drowning out her own panic, her gaze growing sharper and impatient as she glared at the two, her hand gripping the dagger suddenly lifted.

The two were visibly scared by her action, "Jiang Yinru" imdiately pulled out the only remaining note from her pocket and handed it to her, "I, I only have this one dollar left, even if you push further, there’s no more..."

Gu Zhi took the note, her tense expression finally relaxing, her slightly glowing eyes revealing a hint of greed, then she looked at the two, her gaze fierce, "Get lost, and don’t forget to bring the money tomorrow!"

"Jiang Yinru" didn’t dare to look her in the eye, supporting "Chen Cheng" as they almost fled in panic.

The scene ended, and the two supporting actors couldn’t help but wipe their sweat. Just now, facing Ye Zizheng played by Gu Zhi, they had for the first ti experienced true nervousness and fear.

Even now, their scalps tingled a bit.

A long silence pervaded the surroundings.

Until the assistant director first ca to his senses and couldn’t help but applaud, "Good!"

He didn’t expect her to be able to portray the essence of Ye Zizheng, exactly as he had imagined Ye Zizheng to be!

Backstage, Tang Jin was even more ecstatic, pounding the table in excitent, "Wow! That was amazing! Exactly the Ye Zizheng in my mind!"

After speaking, he widened his eyes and looked at the man in front of him, full of surprise, "Who is she? An actor with such great skills, how co I’ve never seen her before?!"

This portion of the scene demands a lot of acting skill, pushing too hard would make it seem overly fierce or nervous.

Yet Gu Zhi handled it exquisitely, without a trace of acting, she was essentially Ye Zizheng in person!

Qi Hanyu returned to his senses, with a hint of surprise still lingering in his eyes.

Her performance was truly stunning to everyone.

Even compared to so of the several award-winning actresses he’s worked with, they might fall short.

Qi Hanyu’s eyes deepened, suddenly recalling soone’s bold words left in the compartnt last night.

This probably was more than just bold words...

On set, the faces of Gu Yiyi and Qi Yunlin were extrely grim.

Since when did Gu Zhi act so well!?

Yet Qi Yunlin still didn’t intend to give the role of Ye Zizheng to Gu Zhi.

Otherwise, she and Yiyi in the sa team might end up bullying Yiyi.

She might even take the opportunity to tie him up with her in a promotional stunt!

Qi Yunlin didn’t even glance at her, coldly stating, "Next one."

The assistant director was taken aback, looking at him in astonishnt, "Director Qi, she is already the best fit for Ye Zizheng."

"I don’t think so," Qi Yunlin said in a deep voice, "I’m not planning to use her."

"But..."

The assistant director frowned, knowing Director Qi’s capriciousness, given he rose to fa at a young age, and being a prince from a prestigious family, he carried so arrogance, yet he didn’t expect him to be so willful!

The atmosphere was tense.

Backstage on set, Tang Jin nearly died of anger hearing this, frowning deeply, "What exactly does your nephew want to do?"

Qi Hanyu also frowned, his expression turning unpleasant.

Tang Jin stood up and said, "I’ll go check it out."

Qi Hanyu nodded, speaking in a deep voice, "Have him co in."

Tang Jin was taken aback for a mont, then walked briskly outside, looking at Gu Zhidao: "Miss Gu Zhi, I really liked your performance. If you have ti, shall we discuss the contract and remuneration?"

Gu Zhi sneered upon hearing it, unsurprised, as expected, she nodded, "Sure."

Qi Yunlin and Gu Yiyi’s faces shifted slightly.

Qi Yunlin turned back, dissatisfied in tone, "Director Tang..."

Tang Jin, however, wore a stern face, frowning as he glanced at him, "Your uncle is in the back, wants you to head over."

Qi Yunlin was stunned, his brow furrowing in displeasure but after a mont of tension, he stood up unwillingly and left.

Gu Yiyi saw this, her nails almost digging into her flesh.

How could this happen? Gu Zhi has never acted before. How could she win Director Tang’s favor?!

She was so envious she could almost gnash her teeth to pieces, yet there was nothing she could say.

Tang Jin directly took Gu Zhi to an office to discuss compensation, calling in Dai Qian along the way.

Dai Qian, not knowing what had happened, saw Gu Zhi and asked nervously, "What’s going on? Why were you eliminated right away? What’s the result?"

Gu Zhi glanced at him, "Qi Yunlin didn’t let pass."

Dai Qian gritted his teeth, "I knew it!!"

"But Director Tang ca to discuss compensation with ."

Dai Qian: ???

"Are you dreaming or sothing?"

Gu Zhi: "..."

Tang Jin happened to co out and looked at Gu Zhidao, "The contract has already been drafted. You can take a look first. What kind of offer do you have in mind, Miss Gu Zhi?"

Dai Qian: ?!!

Dai Qian stared in disbelief, rubbing his eyes, was the person standing in front of him the famous Director Tang Jin!?

Gu Zhi, however, was much more composed. She took the contract and glanced at it. The amount was not of much concern to her. Given that she hadn’t terminated her contract yet, no matter how much she got, it would all go to that garbage managent company.

What’s more important to her now were the project and exposure.

After reading through without finding any significant issues, she looked at Tang Jin and said, "If possible, I’d like to sign the compensation contract after the filming is finished, or perform as a friendly guest without compensation."

Tang Jin was taken aback, "Why?"

Dai Qian, suppressing the excitent internally, explained, "She is currently preparing to terminate her contract with the company, so it’s inconvenient to sign a contract now."

Tang Jin understood imdiately, knowing that it was a common issue within the industry.

He pondered for a mont and said, "Then let’s start filming first and after you’ve terminated the contract, we’ll sign a compensation contract. How about three million?"

He had a premonition that Gu Zhi would definitely beco popular, and given her current infamy, her first screen production was worth this price!

Dai Qian was so shocked he almost blurted out an expletive, "What the f***——"

Just as he said it, he realized and quickly covered his mouth.

Gu Zhi, however, showed little reaction, nodding, "That works."

"Then it’s settled. You can co tomorrow for fitting photos and join the crew. The shooting cycle for this microfilm won’t be long; if we’re quick, the individual scenes can be finished in a few days."

Gu Zhi acknowledged with a "mm," setting the ti with Tang Jin and then leaving.

Backstage on set, Qi Hanyu sat alone on a chair. Upon hearing footsteps, he didn’t lift his head, browsing through the script in his hand.

Just by sitting there without speaking, he exuded a presence that couldn’t be ignored.

Qi Yunlin lowered his gaze, walked up to him, frowning, and called out sullenly, "Uncle."
