The next morning, Alie and Gabriel drove to the hospital first. Skye welcod them and wore the gloves, telling Alie to lay on the examination bed.
"You are a gynaecologist?" Alie asked, feeling surprised. She thought Skye was a healer and a regular physician.
"Yeah. I didn’t tell you everything about ," Skye said and asked the nurse to apply gel over her belly. "How are you doing these days?"
"Much better than before," Alie replied.
"That’s good to know. Oga mothers are sensitive during pregnancy. For so reason, the growth of the pup is faster," Skye murmured as she held the transducer.
"Is that a problem?" Alie inquired.
"Not exactly," Skye replied and moved her eyes to the screen. "Wow! Look at your pup! The pup’s head and limbs are forming," she inford Alie, who lifted her eyes to look at the screen.
Gabriel also ca inside after ending a call with his beta and gazed at the screen.
Tears rolled down Alie’s cheeks as she witnessed her growing pup. A week ago she was running to save their lives. Now, she felt proud of herself for keeping it safe.
Gabriel looked at Alie and placed his hand over her head, giving it a gentle pat.
She turned her head to et his violet gaze. "That’s my Noa," she whispered and a lump ford in her throat, feeling overwheld.
"Noa? Did you na it already? It’s a nice na," Skye said. "The light flickering on the screen Noa’s heartbeats. It’s growing well," she added. "By the fourth month, you should be able to give birth to Noa."
"Are you predicting the delivery date?" Gabriel questioned.
Skye nodded and gently removed the transducer. "Yes. Alie’s pup’s growth is progressing rapidly, which is common in Oga pregnancies."
The nurse cleaned Alie’s belly and printed the ultrasound image, handing it over with a smile.
Alie took the image with trembling hands, her tears still flowing, unable to contain the rush of emotions.
"A," Gabriel whispered her na with a tenderness that surprised even Skye. He reached out and softly wiped the tears from her eyes, then brushed the dampness from her cheeks. "It’s a happy mont," he said in an affectionate voice.
"I know... I’m just emotional," Alie admitted.
Skye looked at their lovely interaction. She couldn’t believe Gabriel even gave a nickna to Alie. She had heard about him declaring Alie as his mate and even proposing marriage to her, but she felt it was out of sympathy. Just now, she realized Gabriel possessed strong feelings for Alie.
Once they moved over to the desk and settled into their seats, Skye began jotting notes onto her notepad.
"I’m prescribing a set of pills for Alie," she said, setting the pen down and looking up at them. "She’ll need to take them regularly for a month. Also, be sure to co in for your check-up on ti. After fifteen days, Alie should co."
She hesitated for a mont before continuing. "And one more thing. It’s safe for the two of you to be intimate and gradually build a physical relationship, but after a certain stage in the pregnancy, you’ll need to be cautious."
"Hmm. Thank you, Skye," Gabriel replied as he reached forward and took the prescription slip from her hand.
Skye gave him a small nod, then glanced at Alie. "Would it be alright if I spoke with Gabriel in private for a mont?"
Alie blinked, then offered a soft smile. "Of course. I’ll wait outside." She stood and gave a polite nod before stepping out of the room, gently closing the door behind her.
"What is it that you couldn’t say in front of Alie?" Gabriel asked, his brows drawing together in concern.
Skye folded her arms on the desk. "It’s about the pup. The growth rate, it’s unusually fast. That typically doesn’t happen in oga pregnancies."
Gabriel’s jaw tensed slightly. "You think sothing’s wrong?"
"Not wrong," Skye clarified, "just... different. You ntioned her entire family cos from Alpha bloodlines. What if Alie isn’t an oga after all? What if she’s an Alpha, or sothing in between?"
"I’m still looking into her background," Gabriel replied. "But even if that’s true, it shouldn’t be a cause for concern... right?"
Skye hesitated. "If she is an Alpha, or a rare hybrid, then maybe not. But if she’s truly an oga, then yes, it could beco dangerous. The pup may be too strong for her body to handle during labor."
Gabriel’s expression darkened with worry.
"She’ll need to be monitored closely. No stress, no emotional turmoil, and definitely no physical strain," Skye added firmly. "Keep her away from anything that could put pressure on her body or heart. The pup might not wait for the full term to co out and when it does, it’s going to be tough on her."
Gabriel gave a slow nod, his mind already racing. "I’ll make sure of it. Thank you, Skye."
She nodded in understanding. As Gabriel stood from his seat, ready to leave, Skye’s voice stopped him once more.
"When are you two getting married?" she asked.
"Next week," Gabriel replied with a small smile. "I’ll make sure you get an invitation."
Skye let out a soft sigh, her lips curving into a bittersweet smile. "You’ve hurt , you know. I liked you for a long ti."
Gabriel’s expression shifted, his smile fading into sothing more apologetic.
"But," Skye continued before he could respond, "I’m happy for you, truly. You found soone who matches your soul. And more than anything, I admire the way you never judged Alie, how you stood by her when she needed soone the most."
Gabriel looked at her. "Thank you, Skye. That ans a lot. Alie is waiting for outside," he said and left the room.
His gaze landed on Alie, who was talking with a mother with a large bump. ’I won’t let anything happen to you and Noa. I want to see you smile while holding Noa in your arms. I know that will be most beautiful feeling for you,’ he thought.
